Riftraft it is because on the Xbox 360 there was a virus called the red ring of death that a lot of people got and it was basically a red ring that was on your screen and it was just a virus that completely totaled your Xbox

@jared bishop powered the xbox off, then press and hold pair and eject with one hand then press and hold power with the other hand. You have to do this quickly because eject will automatically power the xbox on in about 2 secs. Once you are holding all three you'll hear the first beep then wait for the second beep and factory reset screen should come up. Choose factory reset but keep all apps and games. The Xbox will go through some prompts and take an update. You should be good to go. You will need your Xbox live username and password though

Guys, it worked, the problem was the hard drive not the console, the bad thing is that the hard drive stop working totally, so I had to buy a new hard drive and install xbox software, but IT WORKED

if you have a disc drive, hold the sync button for about 4 seconds, then hold the power button til the light comes on. take your finger off the power button BUT hold the sync button til u see the troubleshoot screen at 5:28

This video fixed both my problems. At fisrt my xbox just would not connect to my internet in any way, shape, or form. My phome was connect as well as everyone else's in the house. Ive restarted my xbox multiple times and my router and no luck. I try an alternative internet source and still my xbox would not connect. i sometimes use my good old Xbox One because i can’t afford any new ones, lmao. Everytime i restart it it has a black screen for a while. I hold the power button down to do the hard reset, and then i turn it back on, and my game hasn’t updated at all. (rocket league btw). Overall it’s slow, has a black screen, and yeah
UPDATE! So i did what the video did and now my xbox is much faster and “healthier”. even my games seem to be running better and higher quality, but that’s just me. anyways, nice video!

It wasn’t evident in this video, but for the reset, he held down the sync button and the eject button (or the button under the power button for non-disc drive systems) and then hit the power button.That is what I had to do.

NOTE: The Xbox should be off when you perform these steps. - Turn your Xbox off - Press and hold both the bind button and the eject button on your Xbox. NOTE: The bind button is the one you use to sync wireless controllers to your Xbox, and the eject button is the one you use to eject discs. - With the bind and eject buttons still held down, press and release the power button. At this time, you will hear a startup chime. - Continue holding the bind and eject buttons until you hear the startup chime a second time - Release the bind and eject buttons. - Select Reset this Xbox from the menu. - Choose the option "Keep my games & apps" You'll have to re-add any accounts you had back but everything else is safe nothing is deleted
When your Xbox screen goes black wait for it to go idle and when it does press A and then B and it’ll go to the Home Screen (this will take longer cause you have to wait till it goes idle) but I do it and it temporarily fixes it for a few uses

Literally every Xbox I’ve seen this problem in I just disassembled cleaned the fan out and it works fine. You’d be amazed at the stuff you will find inside a console.
Plug ur internet out and all xbox cables including the hdmi for the tv then wait 30sec. After that plug everything in, then hold the sinc,eject and xbox power button at the same time worked for me
Did a restore but game the games and other stuff and I can confirm that fixed it for me. I tried every else and this was my second to last resort (last being a total system restore)

When u did the reset did all of ur progress in games get deleted and ur account?
Your game data will sync from your last loading session from the cloud it just deletes the hard drive I believe

i sometimes use my good old Xbox One because i can’t afford any new ones, lmao. Everytime i restart it it has a black screen for a while. I hold the power button down to do the hard reset, and then i turn it back on, and my game hasn’t updated at all. (rocket league btw). Overall it’s slow, has a black screen, and yeah
UPDATE! So i did what the video did and now my xbox is much faster and “healthier”. even my games seem to be running better and higher quality, but that’s just me. anyways, nice video!

It wasn’t evident in this video, but for the reset, he held down the sync button and the eject button (or the button under the power button for non-disc drive systems) and then hit the power button.That is what I had to do.

This is what customer support told me to do and it worked!
NOTE: The Xbox should be off when you perform these steps.
- Turn your Xbox off
- Press and hold both the bind button and the eject button on your Xbox.
NOTE: The bind button is the one you use to sync wireless controllers to your Xbox, and the eject button is the one you use to eject discs.
- With the bind and eject buttons still held down, press and release the power button. At this time, you will hear a startup chime.
- Continue holding the bind and eject buttons until you hear the startup chime a second time
- Release the bind and eject buttons.
- Select Reset this Xbox from the menu.
- Choose the option "Keep my games & apps"
You'll have to re-add any accounts you had back but everything else is safe nothing is deleted

When your Xbox screen goes black wait for it to go idle and when it does press A and then B and it’ll go to the Home Screen (this will take longer cause you have to wait till it goes idle) but I do it and it temporarily fixes it for a few uses

Literally every Xbox I’ve seen this problem in I just disassembled cleaned the fan out and it works fine. You’d be amazed at the stuff you will find inside a console.

Plug ur internet out and all xbox cables including the hdmi for the tv then wait 30sec. After that plug everything in, then hold the sinc,eject and xbox power button at the same time worked for me

Did a restore but game the games and other stuff and I can confirm that fixed it for me.
I tried every else and this was my second to last resort (last being a total system restore)
