I agree with that. This video is meant to talk about the now though. Also like I said in the video, Ryujinx is still around which I think is still a really good Switch Emulator. As far as 3DS goes, Panda 3DS is the only alternative I know of and it's not on the same level of Citra. Thanks for watching.
I'd like to make one counterpoint. Both of these emulators are still available in their latest build before the shutdown, and those both do an excellent job playing the Switch and 3DS games libraries respectively. Since new 3DS games are no longer released, Citra doesn't need further development to be fully functional in the future. Halting development of Yuzu on the other hand, means future Switch games may not be playable on unofficial hardware for a long time after release.
With 3DS there are still some games that don't work perfect on Linux such as Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. There's some stutters that happen every now and then. As far as availablity for new users go, they would either have to find the link to the last build or wait for Panda 3DS to be on Par with Citra. I also think Ryujinx will pick up where Yuzu left off. I feel like this is only a road-bump in emulation's history. I feel like the main reason Switch emulators are having a hard time is because that system is still relevant. Nintendo obviously doesn't care much about their older systems, unfortunately, so they don't go after those emulators as much. But Switch is Nintendo's current cash cow. They'll defend that to the best of their legal ability, and Yuzu and Citra just flew too close to the sun. It sucks, but I don't think it will actually stop Switch and 3DS emulation. It does suck that they aren't officially available or being worked on actively, but you can still find the emulators if you know where to look.
Yea the Emulators will continue to work fine but they won't get updates. I had mentioned the Vulkan update as an example of why not having updates sucks. Thanks for watching!

No? Citra is already mature, most games already run with a snaprdagon 855 or better. Yuzu is having a lot of trouble still with lot of games.
if these emulator are on your pc I doubt they will just stop working but you won't be putting any more games on them

Citra is not gone. Its been forked and share on repack sites. Get your information from reliable sources.
