What business does any British foreign agency have in investigating a communal riot in a foreign country that kicked the British government out decades ago?! The colonies have freed themselves of the British, but the British have not yet freed themselves of their colonial mindset.

When you say for the people, it is government's job to maintain peace in the country, our own agencies and organizations have looked into the riots, why can't we trust them? Or only some other TV channels that thrive upon viewership are trustworthy in your opinion? If tomorrow the BBC releases a 'documentary' saying that chennai is a slum district entirely, Bangalore is the most technologically deprived state in India and other inaccurate information, isn't it the responsibility of the government to block these lies or half-truths from spreading in the country, or else their own citizens would start believing in these things

No, he didn't. He says WE saw it and it was OUR conclusion that it is a propaganda piece. He clarified that we have a high commission in the UK (and that is a part of the ministry of external affairs). Their job is to keep an eye on issues pertinent to our country in a foreign land and inform the ministry of their assessments, because of which the spokesperson has access to the assessment.

I saw the part 1 of BBC documentary on Gujarat riots. At the end of the video I feel sheer pain for the officials who spoke out on what happened and are now indefinitely jailed claiming they made false allegation. What can be more evil that this.
Whatever maybe the plot of the violence , people claiming facts should never be punished for speaking the truth. There is no greater evil than this on earth.
