India's economic growth has surpassed all expectations and remains the world's fastest growing major economy, as per the latest GDP data. India's GDP grew at an impressive 8.2%, exceeding projections by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and India's central bank, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). This news comes as a major boost for the incumbent government, with the final phase of voting underway. India's fiscal deficit was also lower than the government's target. However, considering the ultra low cost of living in India, the GDP-PPP/Capita is not that bad and it will be equivalent to western nation in next two decades, which is what matters in the real life.
