- How to make your TPMS Sensors relearn or program on a 2016 Porsche Cayman 981. I recently switched from my stock 18" wheels on my Cayman to a set of 19" O.Z. Leggera HLT wheels and was unsure what to expect with the car relearning the new Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensors. Surprisingly, it was super fast and easy in the Cayman 981. Love your car man thanks for the video drive safe!
Hi, i have 14 981cs and also picked up a set of 19" HLTs. What TPMS sensors you were able to link to your car?
Paul M I bought my whole setup as a package from Tire Rack. So you can probably order sensors from TireRack.com and they should work no problem!
Thx, what size or rear you got?
Paul M 285/35/19’s on a 10” wide rear wheel. The 275’s were too narrow. Here’s my full write up and pics: www.shockerracing.com/index.php/featured-rides/porsche-cayman-981/193-porsche-cayman-981-how-to-reset-the-tpms-system
@@shockerracing You haven't had any issues with the rear 285/35/19's and traction control going off? 285/35's are about half an inch smaller in diameter than the stock 265/40/19. Your car looks great with the OZ wheels btw.
@@brauhaus213 we ran that setup for 3 years and never once had an issue.
So there’s no fancy dealer reprogramming required, new sensors can be detected from within the car?
No dealer programming needed
@@shockerracing thanks for the quick response. Turns out I have bigger issues. I don’t have the TPMS function in my menus. It’s not there.
@@VforVolusia you may have to go into the settings and turn it on by checking the check box.
Car need lowering at least 20mm
MagicAyrtonforever agreed
