Ustaše (Croatian fascists) were claiming Croats are descendants of Goths and therefor Germanic people. This is why song is saying they will fight those who claim they are Goths and not Slavs.

Croats are IllyroRoman-Slavic by blood and culture, so partisans partly lied aswell, even today this persists.
Many indigenous people under Slavic migration and centuries beyond were assimilated into Croat, Serb tribes, primarilly Illyro-Romans in Dalmatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina.
Look at history of Ragusa(Dubrovnik) for proof of this merge of cultures and blood.

What's also important to note is that this song was written by the Croat poet Vladimir Nazor, which speaks to the fact that many Croats rejected the Ustaše and played an invaluable part in the anti-fascist struggle

@@mshaqed2538 I never said all Croats were anti-fascist, but people too often use Ustaše and Croats interchangeably when that was not the case. It's far more complicated than that. The Ustaše were not popular: they were mostly viewed as Italian and German puppets and even though they initially received support, they quickly lost it within a few months of being installed. The majority of Croats belonged to the Croatian Peasant Party which split down the middle with the arrival of the new regime into two factions: one which became collaborators and one which joined the partisans.
The Ustaše were criminals and murderers of the worst variety, and there is a special place in hell for them and their supporters. Modern-day Croats too often glorify the NDH while forgetting the role of Croatian partisans in liberating Yugoslavia. Croats should be ashamed at the attrocities committed in their name, but at the same time they should also lift up those among them who did choose to resist and fought against fascism

I am a Monarchist, but it's truly a delightful song! Great work except one thing, the map is wrong. Socialist Yugoslavia had former Italian territory of Istria

      Aaaahhh...
He never wrote a letter to Stalin and Stalin never tried to assassinate him (there's no prooves to this at least). Its a myth.
