I absolutely love the Amazing Digital Circus, in a way that I didn’t expect to. Originally it just didn’t quite seem my vibe, but coincidentally while at a cosplay competition, I had a conversation with one of the competitors who made a Kinger cosplay. Mind you, this was literally weeks after the pilot came out, so this girl was so passionate about this show she and her mom pulled all the stops to make a costume and competed with it. We had both won in our separate categories and we ended up talking a lot about the show while going through the stage shenanigans - she was definitely a bit overwhelmed and I kind of entered mom mode, so it served well for a conversation topic. Seeing how passionate she was really made me decide to give the show another shot. It was great to hear you talk about The Owl House! This show means so much to me, and I’ve connected with so much of the characters, world, and themes. It quite literally changed my life. Without the show, I wouldn’t have gotten back into media analysis nor would I have met my current partner. I think King’s design being cutesy is kind of the point, since a running gag is that he tries to claim he’s terrifying when he isn’t. But no worries at all if the show didn’t connect with you! It was still a joy to hear you talk about it. I’ve wanted to hear your thoughts for a long time!
Same, I relate to so many characters. I love how each character has some sort of backstory, it just makes the characters & the world feel real. Which is very rare for most shows nowadays💖
“Poo-melon actually makes me miss Peppa Pig. I mean it.” ~PhantomStrider 2025 You know, hearing him say that kinda makes me wish that PhantomStrider would go back to ranting on Peppa Pig. "Us weirdos have to stick together, don't we!" This quote from The Owl House will always hold a special place in my heart. It allowed me to be more open regarding my asexuality. Now every person in my family knows I'm ace and apart from my father, they've all been very understanding.
Well thank God that Velma is cancelled Strider. Velma literally died at the end of Season 2. One poorly made special later and that was all she wrote. Thankfully the real Scooby Doo is coming back we need some help from him now.
Cocomelon is this generation’s Teletubbies. Mindless noise and color to shut your kids up for a while. At least Teletubbies was occasionally hilariously nightmare-inducing.
Strider, do you find Amity and Luz as adorable as I find them? It takes a special kind of goofball to turn a bully into a girlfriend and Luz is exactly that kind of kind hearted little gremlin.
Oh boy! I’ve been waiting for this! The 2020’s really show a mega change in modern cartoons whether in story or animation. I’m really glad you’re still here Strider to talk about these new cartoons! 🔥
Personally I think one of the most overlooked and underrated cartoons of this decade so far is a Nicktoon called Middlemost Post. It was created by John Trabbic, who used to be a storyboard artist on SpongeBob. Middlemost Post is a very emotionally sincere and visually creative cartoon and it absolutely sounds like the type of thing you would really like. Being a modern Nicktoon though, it was canceled by the network way too soon and didn't last nearly as long as it should have which is unfortunate
Nick keeps killing the good stuff. I'm still mad about them axing the Barbarian and the Troll so soon. If you ask me what that is, that's exactly my point.
I think it's really cool to be honest and confessing Digital Circus didn't click with you. I'm one of those people that adores the show and it's been life changing for me. But like you said, it's not for everyone. Some people are not going to click with it, regardless if they think it's well made or they think it's outright bad. And that's OKAY! Some of us in that community really forget that this is a valid opinion. And I wanted to break that and express gratitude of your honesty.
1:26: Correction (sorta): *Cocomelon's channel actually started in 2006 but didn't get that much attention until around the early-mid 2010s (under the name "ABCkidtv", not to be confused with the actual ABC Kids in Australia) but by 2018 they turned into an... "empire" of which they took over the infant landscape.*
Hey Strider, it's good to see you still kicking around. Everyone in the indie animation community (like the creators of Lackadaisy) were in support for you to get back up. We hope you are able to do more of the things you enjoy.
@phantomstrider thank you for sticking around Strider, been watching you since middle school, and your videos are always so wholesome and to-the-point, best of luck man. (=
Don't care what anybody says, Steven Universe was peak, not perfect, but MAN could they do a good plot twist! Shame folks didn't like all the vaguely gay stuff, because it was so much fun. (=
43:19 I can only sum this specific cartoon as So Bad It’s Good. Idk how but the people somehow portrayed the “evil people” as more likeable characters than Norm himself and that always gets me 😂😂😂
As someone who doesn’t support the rights all that much (key words are “that” and “much”), new norm was a complete waste of my time with no redeeming value whatsoever.
Only halfway through the video, but I want to say I love your videos' personality and edits. Nin popping in is always a treat, and the bent key Google search joke was good. Two shows that I would have on my favorites for 2020s are Craig of the Creek and Summer Camp Island. While they both started in 2018, they both ended in the 2020s. I've been watching every new upload for months now. Keep up the great work! EDIT: Love the Garfield comic read at the end!
i think with the “nihilistic” views in smiling friends, they are tongue-in-cheek mocking the nihilism. keep in mind in that same episode, desmond felt better after he found his purpose in life (which is what some people DO need to feel better; finding their place, and knowing who they are).
For me the best shows of the 2020s are definitely: Kid Cosmic, The Owl House, Bluey, The Cuphead Show, My Adventures with Superman, Fiona & Cake, and Invincible.
42:31: *And they purged every other cartoon series on HBO Max and some Looney Tunes movies (including Coyote v. ACME) just to make a season 2 of Velma, don't forget that.*
Hopefully the minute David “Reality Television is da future of entertainment” Zaslav is thrown out of WB things will start to improve in terms of animation.
"Velma got a second season so somebody must of liked It" That is incorrect, see, there's this new tactic of commissioning one whole season and then splitting It In half to call It two seasons when In reality both "seasons" were written and animated at the same time and were finished waaaaaaaaaaaay before they were released.
I was on a bus ride home, it was a 20 minute bus ride and the first 10 minutes was nothing but hearing a kid loudly play Cocomelon videos are full blast
Me suffering during work hours a few times with this. :( And the annoying thing? I kept hearing the same song over and over and over and over and over and...Well you get it. I swear it was like...5 minutes of Humpty Dumpty or Ole McDonald or something? I was ready to tell "the real story" (which if I remember correctly then, it was Humpty Dumpty).
That Owl House speech of what it means to that person personally and how it resonated with Geek Toons during the 2020s really touched me. Though animation isn’t respected among some peers, it can produce something that can mean a lot to someone personally and may change their views or even life, or help them during a difficult time. Shows like Bojack Horseman were praised and still are in that regard. It’s why I been holding Inanimate Insanity in such high regard because it’s themes on trauma and discovering your own identity in the second half of its series is something I needed to hear last year when I was discovering myself. It’s also what originally got me into your channel because even if I couldn’t personally relate, I could tell your passion and how touched you were by shows like Steven Universe, and still are with stuff like Spongebob and Legos. It makes things engaging and allows for interesting viewpoints whether they be objective or personal. Lastly, I love that this is separated with personal favorites and remarkable, sometimes you just can’t get into a really popular thing but can acknowledge it’s good. And sometimes you personally love something that isn’t as big. So it’s interesting to see those views
LOVE the long videos like this. Also, really missed you covering cartoons. You're one of the best at it. Sorry to hear you're having trouble with Patreon numbers. I can't really afford to support other than watching and commenting. I hope your numbers come back up.
I’m happy to see a new video of this topic from you Josh. So many great shows have come out so far in the decade and while things have been difficult in the industry but everyone still goes on. Also, I agree with a lot of the placements on this list
31:26 don't they make fun of nihilism in one episode? And the sound thing seems to be for comedic effect so I guess it's subjective. Okay this review is purely subjective, I get it's not your thing. I'm pretty bias since I love Zach and mike's work before smiling friends.
One of my favorite modern cartoons is a series called Centaurworld. It's a musical series, and when I say that, I mean there is a MINIMUM of 3 songs an episode. It also has the best villain in recent years, I will die on this hill
@@OverlordZeroULTIMA yeah if a actor plays a bad person I don't automatically assume they are a bad person heck then most vas in adult cartoons would be bad people
And he should make them in collaboration with Robyn from Anime America. He also should colleberare with Bennett the Sage as he is an expert of old school anime. I got tons of top list ideas for him and I want to hear his thoughts. Hopefully, he is not one of those people who won't bother give new anime a chance and will endlessly praise old anime and actually shows the high and lows of both eras. I certainly do that and watch anime new and old without saying which era is the best. What these new show are is way more important than what they aren't. There is also the importance of moving forward instead of being stuck in the past as nostalgia sometimes can be harmful as it prevents us from giving new shows a chance because of the simple-minded idea that they will never top the old. The same should be said about cartoons, movies and video games.
I'm just gonna add to this train - hoping that non Patreons can be heard as well (I can't afford to donate and never saw Patreon perks worth 20 USD) and say that I support this. I also swear I sometimes hear Pokemon video game music in his latest vids (I definitely hear Crash 4! I go crazy thinking that once again, the OST on the side that i would listen to daily for a while was playing along with his vid, LOL) so I wonder if he had opinions on the best / worst Pokemon anime if he watched them.
Brain-melting shows like Cocomelon is one of the primary reasons why I'll never have kids. Ever. Imagine dealing with whining brats while Baby Shark is on full volume while trying to keep your cool. As an Aspie, I wouldn't last very long. Also I love the Banjo-Kazooie OST in the background.
@@mikilojzikI agree with that. When I have kids, they’ll mostly watch shows from my childhood, like Thomas the Tank Engine, Dragon Tales, Sesame Street, Zoboomafoo, Wow Wow Wubbzy, etc. Bluey is the only modern kids show they’d be allowed to watch.
I just refuse to have kids because they bug me. xD But I also don't want to commit to a relationship or anything human. It's hard enough to raise a cat. But like others said, you can also pick what they watch. I'd probably do the same as another post said: Turn on shows from my own childhood, same with movies. I'd probably even sit down and re-watch Rolie Polie Olie or something since that little robot guy was one of my faves as a kid.
I am not that surprised The Amazing Digital Circus wasn‘t an absolute favorite for Strider since it is a very lot to deal with and it can also be a bit much reference and internet meme to be internet meme (Jax sends his regards if he‘d cared). And it is currently also filled with a lot of too many unanswered questions at once. I just wanted to say: This show has four episodes, fully free on UA-cam with a whole bunch of dubs available which all seem to be really good. It is only going to continue and grow with every episode. I would be delighted to see how Striders option might be once the show has developed or ended and how he might think of the characters in general.
I'm happy that Phantomstrider is reviewing The Amazing Digital Circus, Amphibia, The Owl House, A Fairly OddParents: A New Wish, Smiling Friends, and of course The Cuphead Show because he hasn't reviewed these at all yet and I guess I don't blame him for hating Cocomelon and Megamind Rules. I don't mind these two shows, but I can see why they are hated. Also I hope he does more reviews on Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss since there are more episodes on both shows and that Season 2 of Helluva Boss is weapped up!🤩😅😁💕
I love Bluey, but I also love that it did inspire me to learn more about Australia. Even to the point where I love Vegemite. And I also learned the truth about Foster's beer.
Hey Josh! I reccomend you watch Murder Drones which is another show made by the guys behind Digital Circus, it does have it's flaws but it's a good show nonetheless.
I always look forward to whenever you talk about cartoons, it’s one of my favorite subjects and it always makes me happy to see a cartoon I love brought up whether in small or large chunks of the video!
My predictions before watching Among the best: Owl House, Smiling Friends, Hazbin Hotel, Digital Circus, Invincible Among the worst: Velma, Mr Birchum, High Guardian Spice, Megamind Rules
When I was a kid, The Clone Wars [2008-2020] kept me entertained like Cocomelon does kids today. But the main differences between the two is that The Clone Wars has action, deep storylines, good writing, character development, plot twists, world building, and an AMAZING soundtrack done by Kevin Keiner.
I think what made The Cuphead Show good is because the game has such a simple story that there is much room for personality and fleshing out of the world. I was really surprised some reviews said it wasn't that deep as the game when the game isn't deep at all. The game doesn't even give you context for any of the bosses so it works. Then all that needs to be done is just outline their personalities. Also I like how to take into context what a bad show, and what a bad show is to personal tastes. Because I can understand your claim for shows like TADC being too colorful and packed full of stuff, but even then it's not a bad show with its artstyle and writing. I appreciate your multiple perspectives
I was late to The Owl House, I didn't get around to it until the show ended.... But after watching episode 1, I was immediately hooked! It's one of my personal favorite cartoons; and Disney should be ashamed for cutting it short!!
5:35, we have spongebob, we have tom and jerry, we have chuchu tv (which sure they might seem like a bad nursery rhyme channel but snipesnap, found out that it,s just like horrid Henry surprisingly enough)
I personally love TADC because of how bright and colorful it is. I have a really short attention span and I usually struggle with watching shows bc of that, but TADC is actually able to keep my attention, lol
I remember watching the 2010 worst/best list that's how I got to watch phantom strider it was the first video I watched by him and I fell in love with the channel ever since. I remember making a dumb comment saying I missed him making comments about cartoons but after a while I managed to get used to the other topics and I liked it actually. I know how it feels to make stupid comments and then regret it later 😂
So glad to hear Owl House get praise. I remember coming across the show purely by accident and it drew me in instantly. I connected a lot with the main character Luz, as a queer, neurodivergant person I saw a lot of myself in her and routed for her throughout the show As for Bluey its a show that was a big help to me, I found it very healing for my inner child and have found great comfort within not only the show and its characters
I have a video idea In memory of Britt alcroft who unfortunately passed in December 2024, please make the top 10 best Thomas the tank engines episodes.
I’m so glad you’re going back to familiar content! I have no problem with the new direction you’ve gone in, but I’ve followed you for a very long time, and it’s really nice to see your opinions on shows evolve :)
Honestly, Smiling Friends is one of the most refreshing adult animated series in recent years. The humor feels more natural, the dialogue is authentic and doesn’t always rely on shock value and the characters feel very relatable and down to earth. It also not mean spirited or overly cynical like other adult shows and the characters actually genuinely like each other.
OMG a heart from the master 😁 glad you liked it!! @Phantomstrider Off topic but have you checked out Christian Jay’s live action SpongeBob episode remakes? They’re unironically really good and it’d be neat if you could take a look at them one day. I got hooked on em when the Graveyard Shift remake randomly popped up in my recommended. They only have a few but they’re pretty good!
I love smiling friends, it’s weird but so funny to me. I also love how they use different types of animation like stop motion, or how it referenced the animated hobbit movie. I also like how there’s not a punching bag character which is so rare for an adult animated show. But I can totally get how the show isn’t for everybody
Me and my mom started watching Bob's Burgers at Christmas. We were looking for sitcom specials and we kept seeing this show come up (this was after I saw your review on it). So we decided to gove it a shot and we were hooked ever since December 2024
0:36 cbeebies you traitor For context, I THINK cbeebies (a British kids channel) very RARELY put cocomelon on in intermissions. However, cbeebies also has some honestly great replacements such as dipdap or using the honestly incredibly talented presenters. Shame since most cbeebies shows are educational, well animated, and even somewhat enjoyable for parents. Hell, bluey and a sesame street spinoff (called furchester hotel) has aired on it.
@fwerno2 Honestly, even some of its weaker shows were still better than flipping Cocomelon. The good stuff like Octonauts, Tree Fu Tom, In the Night Garden, Mister Maker (Which the whole reason I even draw and make art today), I Can Cook, Kerwizz, Justin's House, Balamory, Me Too, Come Outside, Brum, Nina and the Neurons, Postman Pat, Grandpa in my pocket (orignial, pre cast change series), Rastamouse, and more were amazing. But even the more sloppish stuff like Baby Jake, Teletubbies, and Tweenies still had more effort put into them. And notice how I could think of WAY more good examples than bad? And I even tried looking up shows. That's how strong CBeebies' old catalogue is.
Personally I do really enjoy smiling friends. I think the mixed animation is charming, plus it has genuinely INSANE world building. I think the pilot is *ok* but I think it really got good in season 2 and especially season 3. Honestly it really reminds me of an adult version of TAWOG.
No, there were some Netflix ones. I think that's how come Cuphead was put up there; It was a Netflix show. Maybe Strider just didn't find Arcane and Hazbin good enough? I think he even said that Hazbin and Hellava didn't really click with him - like Digital Circus. But I'm sure he sees the passion and love put into all these shows; They're just not his cup of tea. Personally I wouldn't be able to watch any of these more horror / adult themed shows because I'm squeamish and quite frankly sex repulsed. Personally, I feel like the only one I would be tempted to try would be the Fairly Oddparents one - though I'm too used to Timmy to see another kid. I never saw the last seasons either.
when you talked about smiling friends i was surprised at how valid i found some of your criticisms, even if i disagree with most of them. But your points about the show being nihilistic are a little misguided if you ask me, I think similar to the animation, they portray a variety of styles of ideologies. The idea behind the show is to portray a bizarre and surreal reality where all of the characters feel real. They think different things like how real people do, it adds to the layered humor. Im really bad at writing long comments so i hope this made sense!!! love ya, strider!
You just got that song stuck in my head, and I don't have access to the movie. :( I'm sure it's on streaming somewhere but idk if I have the proper services.
I agree with you, Strider! I've hated the whole "magic is science" argument since the first Thor movie aired. There is NOTHING science related about ghosts, fairies, dragons or other elements of the fantasy genre
Unless you count the dragons from HTTYD (just in their universe though) since they’re animals in that universe. (Until the Nine Realms ruined it but let’s not discuss the nine realms.. thought I would like to see what strider thinks of it…)
@@DoofenSpyroDragon16 What does that have to do with the "magic is science" trope? I ask because while the dragons of HTTYD are animals (for the most part.) I like to think that their breath weapons feel more supernatural in nature than natural/scientific

"Us weirdos have to stick together, don't we!" This quote from The Owl House will always hold a special place in my heart. It allowed me to be more open regarding my asexuality. Now every person in my family knows I'm ace and apart from my father, they've all been very understanding.
Us weirdos have to stick together 👍🏻
I guess ur an ace in the hole 😅
Cocomelon is so awful it reminds me of the Teletubbies. It feels like an insult to a baby's intelligence.
Facts
Phantomstrider always makes me smile and that's why I always come back to him for 5 years I've been watching.
Well thank God that Velma is cancelled Strider. Velma literally died at the end of Season 2. One poorly made special later and that was all she wrote. Thankfully the real Scooby Doo is coming back we need some help from him now.
One of my favourite channels to watch was behind the creation of TADC, I can’t believe how well it turned out.
The creation of what?
@@dadocta5168 digital circus
@@dadocta5168 The Amazing Digital Circus or TADC as it's called in the fandom.
@EthanTheFnFCharter_ I see, you mean SMG4 as one of its creators?
@@dadocta5168 yes.
Cocomelon is this generation’s Teletubbies. Mindless noise and color to shut your kids up for a while. At least Teletubbies was occasionally hilariously nightmare-inducing.
@TheCatIndeed at least teletebbies actually had effort put into it, it probably cost a lot for the costumes and sets
@RoundBear-re9kd true. I don’t think that effort went into anything good or valuable, but effort was there
Strider, do you find Amity and Luz as adorable as I find them?

Non existent marketing
I keep forgetting it exists
Nick keeps killing the good stuff. I'm still mad about them axing the Barbarian and the Troll so soon. If you ask me what that is, that's exactly my point.
I love MiddleMost Post! It reminds me of Chowder in certain moments and of course Parker is just adorable 😍.
I never even heard of it makes it worse.
I liked that show, it was cool

Thank you for the best wishes in the indie animation community! It's an honor to still be here.
@phantomstrider thank you for sticking around Strider, been watching you since middle school, and your videos are always so wholesome and to-the-point, best of luck man. (=
And Velma was made by a edgelord who hated Scooby doo.
Really? That explains a lot.
Was that, the point? I thought it was some weird bootleg, because that crap has basically nothing to do with S.D
Again, it’s great to see a sequel to this video
School's delayed for 2 hours today *&* you've posted another cartoon vid?? Hell yeah!!
How do you DELAY school? I don't get it. 🤔
Snow day, ice & stuff on the roads that make higher risks of making accidents & whatnot
I never watched cocomelon. And for good reason. It's baby shark and Caillou mixed together to create an abomination.
And it's brainrot (for infants). Don't forget that.
@Gloryzuki fair point
Cocomelon is just TikTok for babies
@@619_mitch I'm so glad you said that because I say TikTok is Cocomelon (or brain rot) for adults!

PhantomStrider: posts a best and worst video that is almost an hour long
Me: grab some food and get comfy. This is going to be fun.
Don't care what anybody says, Steven Universe was peak, not perfect, but MAN could they do a good plot twist! Shame folks didn't like all the vaguely gay stuff, because it was so much fun. (=
43:19 I can only sum this specific cartoon as So Bad It’s Good.
Idk how but the people somehow portrayed the “evil people” as more likeable characters than Norm himself and that always gets me 😂😂😂
Dunno why but it gave me All in the Family vibes, specifically that one mean guy (Arnie I think his name was?)
As someone who doesn’t support the rights all that much (key words are “that” and “much”), new norm was a complete waste of my time with no redeeming value whatsoever.
To quote a certain Cajun, “You know how long I been waitin’ for this?”
KINETIC CARD
Only halfway through the video, but I want to say I love your videos' personality and edits. Nin popping in is always a treat, and the bent key Google search joke was good.
Two shows that I would have on my favorites for 2020s are Craig of the Creek and Summer Camp Island. While they both started in 2018, they both ended in the 2020s.
I've been watching every new upload for months now. Keep up the great work!
EDIT: Love the Garfield comic read at the end!
So glad to see you again! This video is awesome ❤
i think with the “nihilistic” views in smiling friends, they are tongue-in-cheek mocking the nihilism. keep in mind in that same episode, desmond felt better after he found his purpose in life (which is what some people DO need to feel better; finding their place, and knowing who they are).
Always happy to see a new video of yours

"My Google Nest thinks I have a problem."
That was funny XD
The editing in this vid is SO GOOD! Also HOW DO YOU NOT LIKE SMILING FRIENDS ENOUGH FOR AT LEAST OUTSTANDING
For me the best shows of the 2020s are definitely:
Kid Cosmic, The Owl House, Bluey, The Cuphead Show, My Adventures with Superman, Fiona & Cake, and Invincible.
DANG A Show Hated so bad he preferred peppa Pig

Atleast peppa pig isn’t recycled content like cocomelon tbh and less annoying

The amazing digital circus is one of my favorites. Sure, it's wacky and sometimes unsettling, but I do enjoy it. The animation and cast are great.
I binge watched all 3 episodes to see what the hype was about, gotta say, I'm curious where it'll go, not bad.
Ya same
I’m obsessed with it!
Yay a new phantomstrider list! That’s gonna get me through the day.
42:31: *And they purged every other cartoon series on HBO Max and some Looney Tunes movies (including Coyote v. ACME) just to make a season 2 of Velma, don't forget that.*
Seriously, f### Velma, I don't even LIKE S.D that much, but man that show was awful. )=
I feel so sorry for you.
Me suffering during work hours a few times with this. :(
And the annoying thing?
First PhantomStrider video of 2025.
One of my favorite modern cartoons is a series called Centaurworld. It's a musical series, and when I say that, I mean there is a MINIMUM of 3 songs an episode. It also has the best villain in recent years, I will die on this hill
The Nowhere King slots quite nicely alongside the Lich from Adventure Time, The Beast from Over the Garden Wall, and Belos from The Owl House.
Where can u watch it? Sounds interesting.
@@Tyler-q3k It's on Netflix. Unfortunately that means there are only 2 seasons. Fortunately there is a good conclusion

The new norm is basically just a shitty archie bunker mixed with South Park
From All in the Family? Yeah I thought so too.
Sad thing? Even Archie was redeemable. And the actor himself wasn't even anti gay or trans, he was just playing a role.
@@OverlordZeroULTIMA yeah if a actor plays a bad person I don't automatically assume they are a bad person heck then most vas in adult cartoons would be bad people
I HOPE Strider will do his Top something Best animes, old and new. Its SAD that he only ranked his worst.
Honestly I hope so too. I recently got into anime this year and would like to know what he thinks about some of them
@@complex2liveSame
You can choose what to let your kids watch. Cocomelon is so popular because of lazy parenting
Same bro, same, Animation needs to be legally monitored, and morons like the Cocomelon creators need to be arrested.
I just refuse to have kids because they bug me. xD But I also don't want to commit to a relationship or anything human. It's hard enough to raise a cat.
But like others said, you can also pick what they watch. I'd probably do the same as another post said: Turn on shows from my own childhood, same with movies.
I'd probably even sit down and re-watch Rolie Polie Olie or something since that little robot guy was one of my faves as a kid.
not banjo kazooie, it's yokai watch you uneducated smigglewiggler

They did WHAT to Megamind?!?!
😳🤬
Also I hope he does more reviews on Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss since there are more episodes on both shows and that Season 2 of Helluva Boss is weapped up!🤩😅😁💕
IM SO EXCITED IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOREVER!!!
You can thank SMG4 for that with the help of Gooseworks, and Glitch produtcion! 6:24
Most of the SMG4 staff worked for GLITCH, to hats off to 'em.
It’s always a good day when Strider uploads! 🥰🥰🥰
I love both shows, Glitch in general is a very amazing channel💖
It’s always great to see that you’re still around Strider!
😎👍
What I adore about Bluey is that it's not just a show for kids but has very smart lessons for parents as well
I always look forward to whenever you talk about cartoons, it’s one of my favorite subjects and it always makes me happy to see a cartoon I love brought up whether in small or large chunks of the video!
Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. In 2020's
My predictions before watching
Among the best: Owl House, Smiling Friends, Hazbin Hotel, Digital Circus, Invincible
Among the worst: Velma, Mr Birchum, High Guardian Spice, Megamind Rules
19:40 And no transphobia
My unpopular opinion: Bluey despite being a kid's show is more mature than Hazbin Hotel
Seems like a lot of good kids shows are more mature than most adult shows, let’s be real.
Glad to see you're still continuing the channel
I agree that digital circus is for certain people. Me and my uncle enjoy it, but other members of my family find it off-putting and weird
I connected a lot with the main character Luz, as a queer, neurodivergant person I saw a lot of myself in her and routed for her throughout the show
As for Bluey its a show that was a big help to me, I found it very healing for my inner child and have found great comfort within not only the show and its characters
Same, the show drew me in. & it actually got me into the LGBTQ+ community. & I'm glad💖

23:43 I always love it when stuff like this is shown it makes me giggle 😊
Honestly, Smiling Friends is one of the most refreshing adult animated series in recent years. The humor feels more natural, the dialogue is authentic and doesn’t always rely on shock value and the characters feel very relatable and down to earth. It also not mean spirited or overly cynical like other adult shows and the characters actually genuinely like each other.
41:30 maybe studying ghosts as science is a thing but just in that universe. There, fixed the plot hole 😆
OMG a heart from the master 😁 glad you liked it!! @Phantomstrider
Off topic but have you checked out Christian Jay’s live action SpongeBob episode remakes? They’re unironically really good and it’d be neat if you could take a look at them one day. I got hooked on em when the Graveyard Shift remake randomly popped up in my recommended. They only have a few but they’re pretty good!
I mean, wasn't Danny Phantom also a Nick show like FOP? ;D Maybe he's studying Danny Phantom and his crew. :P
My mom hates bob’s burgers but my dad likes it 😆
0:36 cbeebies you traitor
For context, I THINK cbeebies (a British kids channel) very RARELY put cocomelon on in intermissions.
Yep. Biggest mistake to put a brainrot channel on a channel I grew up with.
@fwerno2
Honestly, even some of its weaker shows were still better than flipping Cocomelon.
Let me guess, netflix and amazon prime shows don't count as TV?
That's why Arcane and Hazbin Hotel didn't make the list?
The Owl House, Amphibia, and Gravity Falls are all confirmed to take place in the same universe.
22:43 There's uh... there's something on the left side of the screen you probably didn't want.
I was looking for this
when you talked about smiling friends i was surprised at how valid i found some of your criticisms, even if i disagree with most of them.
As the good movie Space Jam says “Y’all ready for this?!”
You just got that song stuck in my head, and I don't have access to the movie. :(
I'm sure it's on streaming somewhere but idk if I have the proper services.
Always great to see a new video from you.
Your channel is so cool and I love the editing rock on 🎸
I agree with you, Strider!
"And you! I was not expecting to see you here. Thought you were..retired"
Why did I read this in Malcom’s voice from Arthur Christmas? 😆
The Button of Doom is the _true_ Megamind 2, IMO
Cocomelon is part of an art style I like to call Corporate Plastic. where the animation is trying to look clean and perfect but it comes off as stagnant and lifeless.
