that little moment 2:18... as a performer myself, I think it's one of the nicest things about being on stage, when you share a smile/look with your peers who just get exactly the same joy you're feeling at the moment. and it's beautiful for the audience to see!
Esta performance para mi es el mayor ejemplo de que ARCTIC MONKEYS es la mejor banda de la historia, ninguno de los 4 afloja , los 4 sincronizados , los 4 trabajan y brillan a la perfeccion.
Still my favourite live take of this song, everything slaps perfectly. Agree with a comment below that Humbug definitely brought the best out of them as performers (musically)
I personally have seen a kind of progress over being sufficient and dedicated to the songs in Suck it and see era, like you could see the enjoyment. However, they were very playful with their tunes here.
they try very hard to make it sound like they've thrown alot of cords together and what you can see live is how much work they have actually put into it. love them btw!
this is just the most amazing shit i have EVER seen! im a die hard strokes fan but these guys just take it the fuck away!! the improvs, the emotion, the sound! its just to fucking brilliant!

That room looks very warm and I'd like to take a moment to congratulate whoever made that possible because it makes Alex Turner look ridiculously hot (in every sense of the word)
@StefanoTermoli oh.. actually, except Grestch and the few other.. he always use jazzmaster as a main guitar along with ovation... and that is fender - -
Humbugs a brilliant album but that debut literally changed my life and the way I listen to music, I'm a bit older now though so I prefer the lyrical content of their newer more darker stuff. Whatever they do next i'm sure I'll like it but instrumental wise I hope it's fast and heavy.
@DEADKiffer I think they probably will make more stuff like this, I mean I know Alex is a big fan of The Vines' early stuff, I think with the new stuff it was a bit of an experiment really, they may go to experiment even further on the next album and have a continuously fast album!!! I'd love that! Songs like If you've found this it's probably too late and still yake you home would be orgasmic.
Is it bad that when I write my music, I sing it in a british accent? All the artists I listen to just happen to be british, but I'm american. Though as a younger kid, I decided I wanted to be british, so I constantly spoke in a britsh accent, so now when I speak i accidentally go brit. So I think that crossed over entirely to my singing.... haha
@99aliff - True that.. And I may sound mean..but I liked his hair back in 2006 and 2008...it became a little too long! But no matter how their hair..I still love all the members and their music :)
@Kav365 if you"ll listen carefully, the tempo in this performance is constantly changing from slower to faster. im just wondering if matt has a time keeping problem or is it made purposely by him.
@LewiseB62 Yeah, My friend has got a jaguar, and i've got a thinline telecaster. My telecaster sounds so so much better through a fender valve amp than his! lol and his cost 850 quid, mine was 650.
@AllYouReallyNeed haha its kinda opposite for me. As a Scot, I listen to a lot of british music, but when i write i just slip into some crappy generic american accent, bad habit :D
So in theory you have a Yorkshire accent , well a Sheffield accent. You must be coolest american in the world pal lol. Where all dee dars aren't we 8).
Humbug era has the best live versions of most of their songs in my opinion
They were at their prime in terms technical skill

2:15 i just love this pause specially when they smile at each other and when alex breath... omg.

And put it all back in
You've got to understand that you can never beat the bandit, no

class
...You've got to understand you can never beat the bandit!
That's a Fender Jazzmaster! Same body shape though, different pickups and neck .
Joe Edelmann the fuck are you talking about
It’s a completely jazzmaster, 60s vintage original one too
You probably talk about Jaguar
I am the same freaking way!!!!
Bettah imagine dah!
still unreal, i hope album 4 comes back to the hardcore post punk dancey tunes although humbug is an absolute masterpiece
Came from 2020 to say that they haven't read your comment and got very slower hahahah
@@viniciusmazoni9235lol
0:24 - 0:29 Alex makes me feel things that I'm not supposed to feel ;_;
XD
matt is fucking awesome

Is it bad that when I write my music, I sing it in a british accent? All the artists I listen to just happen to be british, but I'm american. Smash!
@7macondo7 no... he is THE agile beast
fuck!!!! they are ever sensational... oh man!
@pointknightchime figured it out... it's not terribly complicated
alex should never be allowed to improvise on guitar ever again lmao
+john jaxon
But that was brilliant :(
Very Humbug-esque
Omer Brand yes but it was a honest mess
john jaxon he pulled it off by the skin of his teeth lmao
It was awesome. Sounded straight out of a Qotsa song
Matt :D:D:D:D
i hope they make more stuff like humbug.
@Kav365 if you"ll listen carefully, the tempo in this performance is constantly changing from slower to faster.
im just wondering if matt has a time keeping problem or is it made purposely by him.
where can i get the full sesion?
@jbrad445 you are absolutely right man!!! i'm sorry
@LewiseB62 Better sound as well in my opinion... i love the sound of alex's guitar in this.
@LewiseB62 Yeah they are, What amp do you run it through?
'Ohh...' xD
@TheEbt123 i thought the drummer was called dan rowbotham?
@aley2watt I think it's mandatory to song their songs with a British accent.
@TheVisitorsClub Fender Jaguar
@aley2watt it's how I learned to sound british. :D
@LewiseB62 Yeah, My friend has got a jaguar, and i've got a thinline telecaster. My telecaster sounds so so much better through a fender valve amp than his! lol and his cost 850 quid, mine was 650.
thats Jamie Cook with long hair?
@apleno Care to share?
@indiekidBingham very little?
what guitar is Alex playing??
Jazzmaster or a Jag
Matt changes the tempo constantly.... does anyone thinks its on Purpose???
0:49 - 1:00 very josh-homme influence. i likey.
What an unusual middle name...
guitarras alternadas, alternated guitars > melorgasmic¡¡¡
Dude what-
@thadocdev Really? Humbug?
I farted, it felt great
LMFAOOOOOOOLGMAOAOA
@YoavMr What ?
miss...old...hair...
@adamhood7 joke?
Wish they did more stuff like this. Not the new shit which isn't as good as their last albums. My opinion of course. Prefered their upbeat stuff.
well your just saying the words how they sound, its much easier then talking freely and trying to do an accent
@AllYouReallyNeed haha its kinda opposite for me. As a Scot, I listen to a lot of british music, but when i write i just slip into some crappy generic american accent, bad habit :D
the guitar solo at 2:00 sucks! it's fucking funny!! HAHAHAHA JÍÍÍÍÍÍÍKOMON!!44!!!!!!44!44!!!
dolan plz
@rarethen9 hahahahahaha
matt are you single and available? haha
BITCH WHAT
