Hrithik plays a Muslim Emperor who marries a hindu princess, it's a long movie but one of the best movies in Bollywood for sure 😊 As the Biggest Fiji Indian Hrithik fan in Melbourne Australia, It's one of my most fav Hrithik movies :)

@@wowso4 No, its not, even though that Mugal/Muslim emperor Akbar was there in past but there is no evidence if that hindu princess existed. And if she did, then she got converted into muslim. And, In reality Akbar was not a sweet guy like it's shown in this film he was cruel.

Hritik plays Akbar in this movie the Great Mughal Emperor, and he is married to Jodha(Aishwarya Rai) as a treaty kinda, they both have cultural differences and at the beginning hate each other but gradually start to love each other, this song demonstrates how Akbar falls in love with Jodha.

This whole movie is one of the most powerful
The barrier is that she was a political trade by her Hindu father to prevent the Muslims from destroying his kingdom. A Hindu would never marry a Muslim at that time but kings used to "gift" their daughters to the invaders to prevent the invaders from annihilating them. In the movie, she wants to commit suicide. The movie makes it into a love story which is false. Her story was very tragic but of the time. A Hindu would not eat meat but Muslims did. Muslims also invaded India (Bharat), a Hindu collection and destroyed our libraries by burning them, our temples by destroying them. They kidnapped women and put them in their harem but also they raped women and looted the riches. They put mosques up where there were temples. This is a similar story with like the Christian crusades. They too destroyed western temples in Europe and then took them over and used them as churches. Anyway, with that history Muslims were never a favorable group to entangle with or get married to. Their beliefs are also very different.
Aishwarya Rai Bachan plays the role of Jodha a Rajput princess who is married off to Mughal emperor Akbar for political reasons. However; she states that she has two requests prior to the marriage taking place. One of them being she be allowed to keep and follow the traditions and religious faith she was born into from the time of her birth. The second being she would not be forced to change her way of being for any reason.

Hrithik Roshan played the role of the third Mughal emperor of India, Akbar. He was the Grandfather of Shah Jahan who made the Stunning TAJ MAHAL in Agra.
So basically the story is that he is a king from the mughal empire and he is muslim and he married her to form alliances with hindu Rajput (royalty) in India and he is showing her respect and because it was an arranged marriage they haven't consummated the marriage yet but he has already fallen for her as she is very beautiful and a proper Rajput girl

Great reaction. Kinda unexpected tho but still cool. Jodha Akbar is loosely based off of a true story about a Muslim King and a Rajput Princess. It starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hitrik Roshan and this probably came out in 2006 or something.
What caused this song so beautiful is ...the guy is a muslim emperor AKBAR one of the greatest emperor in world who use rule on 11/ of land on earth........the girl is his wife n they had an arranged marriage...n she is a daughter of a Hindu royalty king ......cos everything changes when u marry a different religion guy...n there is barrier cos he is great king so he let jodha to settle herself.....but akbar being a generous,kind king he respects her culture and did try to learn it..... akbar didn't just wanted to make jodha her wife but he wanted to win her wife.

This story is about a Mughal King who marries a Indian Hindu princess. In this song, it describes his growing love for his new wife as his admiration for her grows. As a Hindu Empress in a Muslim monarchy, she changed things in the palace simply with her presence and religious, moral, and ethical beliefs and practices. Of course, this themes expands through the the whole story, but this song is about his longing to be closer to her. As far as I understand..
Their both from different religions. Hes muslim and shes hindu, it was an arranged marriage to keep the peace between the lands. What your seeing in that video is hes falling in love with her but also getting to know her ways respect each others religion and culture. Hindus, muslims and Sikhs have always had a rocky relationship but this is a beautiful example that peace can happen. Also it based on a true story as far as I've been told

Well, Hruthik in the film is a Muslim Emperor and the Heroin in the film is a Hindu princess... despite their Religion differences they get married as a part of contract b/w two kingdoms to maintain peace... she doesn't like marrying a Muslim guy and change her religion so she keep a condition that even though she marries him for the sake of her kingdom she won't convert her religion. hero doesn't have a problem with that.. but many other people in the kingdom have. they get married with no love b/w them. but then starts falling for her and just when he was going to tell her the he really love her many misunderstands happen bcuz hero sees heroin meeting smone and thinks she's cheating on him with other guy.. but that was actually her brother she met. a war almost breaks b/w them but she and him clears the misunderstandings b/w them and it goes on......

This is the love story of a Mughal emperor whose grandfather conquered India in the 17th Century. Akbar marries Jodha, an Indian princess who he marries for political alliance. Akbar is known to be an emperor in his dynasty who did not despise Indians unlike some other Mughal emperors who ruled India. I think he was one of the very generous emperors who have ever ruled India. So, he falls in love with and her too. Jodha was very kind and generous too. The Mughal empire had a total of 7 emperors. Akbar was a very strong emperor and I think as much I one or two emperors after him were weak which led to the decline of the Mughal empire. To study about the Mughal empire is actually much more interesting than studying about the English East India Company and it's rule. It's just my opinion.
