My mother always kept this fast for my dad even though he was Dutch and not a Hindu. He appreciated the gesture as it's made with love and devotion. I also keep this fast every year even though my husband isn't Hindu. In Hinduism a woman's prayers are very powerful especially when it comes to casting protection over their loved one's. Inside every woman there exists Shakti which is feminine divinity and pure power.
The last scene is about the mother sensing that the sons are coming back home, because the main song is about how a mother can always sense her son's presence and more...Love this classic movie, one of the best tear jerking bollywood movie.
I cried so hard when I watched the movie.. I’m not Indian I’m ethiopian but I grew up with Bollywood movies and songs. The old movies are better tho. The actresses and actors kept their natural skin Color and didn’t have the need to adapt to white beauty standards I mean look at Kajol! I think she looks beautiful with her brown skin and hazel eyes😃

i feel so bad for these new generation kids, they will never feel that vibe we had playing outside. Remember playing manhunt outside, we were hiding in neighbors backyards with no issues at all. Kids used to capture fireflys in jars and take them home and all of that charm is gone now. I feel so bad for these kids today, all they have is fortnight LMAO!

In this movie...Amitabh...older actor.. didn't want Shah Rukh to marry Kajol...but he did...and moved away to England..Hrithik grew up an went to find his brother, Shahrukh...but he had changed in appearance so much that they just thought he was a stranger. Kareena Kapoor fell for him....when he was crying it's because he thought if his Dad did not oppose their love Kajol and ShahRukh they would have stayed.
