If you get the extra large door it doesn't come with a template. The suggested method is to use the plastic door cover as the template. It is the correct size for the hole you need to cut in the door. I see some comments saying it came with no template. This video is specific to the ruff weather version. I bought an extra large single flap door and realized it was too big and could go smaller. Returned it and found the large ruff weather one. My experience with the install of the ruff weather door was exactly how the video shows.
Good video. Having just installed one myself I would suggest removing the door for cutting if it has an aluminum exterior. I would also suggest using a reciprocating saw with a metal blade instead of a jig saw. Otherwise, if you just have a non-metal door, the way shown in the video will work just fine.
SANTA MUERTE I thought they had two of them things that slide over the door but they only come with one but you put it on the inside they can't reach inside really they could just kick it so it's really not going to stop anybody from breaking in
I watched a vid on that. He off set the pet door so the gaps would be less. I probably didn’t explain that well but search for install in metal exterior door. Hope that helps.
Muchas gracias desde Granada, España. Al fin un vídeo donde se explica bien cómo instalar una gatera en puerta de madera. GRACIAS .

A dog door that size, some could just go through, but then again, where is that big dog when you need it to bite some MF ?
What if the door is beveled

which size door is that?
The pet door shown in this installation is the Ruff Weather Extra Large
Do not buy this worthless door. The flaps are garbage and will warp in just a few months
