Scott is an awesome person. We came to SLC for two weeks to explore housing options. He toured us to over 50+ properties-all without asking for anything in return. He is one of the best realtors I have met!
St. George is more expensive for the square footage for sure and the median home price is shooting up well beyond that of the 3 metro areas along the Wasatch Front
I would say we are beyond concerned. When every state in the United States is a better bang for your buck option for housing with the few exceptions of California, New York, Hawaii, Washington, and the city of Denver.....its a major issue. We are officially top 5 most expensive places to live with literally nothing to offer other than "hey there's some very crowded outdoor trails you can hike 4 months out of the year". What has happened to my home state of Utah the past 10 years is absolutely disgusting and nothing but greed. What good do cheaper utilities do if you're paying 5k a month for a fixer upper in West Valley City 🤦🏻 Also there isnt a booming economy in Utah other than 2 areas. Those are tech sales around the Lehi area, and certain people in real estate. Other than that there really isn't a booming economy here. The high prices for goods and services are just price gouging
Thanks for sharing and you're so right. This country has some major problems with inflation that needs to stop and unfortunately it's likely going to take some more pain economically speaking in order to accomplish it
I don't want to talk about prices on Massachusetts, Boston. Rent of studio is 1800 $ (first, last deposit). I am talking about 2 or 3 bedroom apartment. At electricity bill 300$ per month atsummer
I would reconsider a move here Dennis, everything is overpriced and extremely crowded now. There is traffic constantly and waits for everything, oh and Denver has been shipping people here.
Your opinion is based on your experience, but not everyone shares that same experience. Nearly everyone moving here finds that traffic is far better here than from where they are moving. Perspective changes everything and when you research traffic and average Commute times, SLC fairs far better than most every other metropolitan area of similar or larger size
I used to live in Utah. "Born and raised' as they say... I want to go back. But I literally can't afford anything above $150k. It's so heartbreaking to think I might never make it back to my home state where my family is all because costs have gone up so criminally high... 😢
Hi Andrea!!! Yes, it's currently proposed but not yet approved. Citing increased costs of fuel and wholesale power, as well as investments in new electric transmission and generation projects, Rocky Mountain Power has proposed a controversial general rate increase. By the end of the two-year rollout of the rate increase submitted to the Public Service Commission for review, customers will see an estimated 30% increase on their bills amounting to about $24 dollars per month.
Hi Luis!! Here's the top industries in a Utah: - Aerospace & Defense - Life sciences - Healthcare - Advanced Manufacturing - Construction Trades... all of them! - Tech Let new know if there's anything that I can do for you!

The costs have just gotten to high. I completely agree

AI is manipulating the numbers, which is why the cost of living is rising everywhere
I'm not sure what you are trying to say here. I can say with 100% confidence that AI isn't what's made housing so expensive
