lmao these people have their lives so together. I'm a vegan college student and I literally just survive off of instant oatmeal and protein bars haha
I totally relate to you, I'm generally very tired at the end of the day and I don't have the motivation to cook and do all the dish cleaning , I mostly live on pasta , canned vegetables and legumes , soy yogurt, clementine . I love to cook but I wouldn't have the motivation to clean my blender (and other cooking tools) everyday to do my daily food
They probably overdid it for the video.
WORD
I’m sure everyone is showing a good day! I usually cook once or twice a day, and I make lots of leftovers to freeze or pack to work for the rest of the week. I like to make my own frozen toaster waffles on Sundays 😋 but sometimes I’m tired. Tonight I’m having popcorn for dinner
Bro it's a video, don't believe everything you see on the net lol, no one has the time to do all that cooking
I was definitely expecting more “dorm room hacks” than “boil your beans for 1-3 hours”
But the food still looks amazing!
I’m guessing these people make food building blocks ahead of time. Like the medical student used seitan he had made before, when the college student made peanut sauce she made more than she used for that meal, same for the quinoa and the couscous dishes.
Why? It’s not a dorm room hack video?
Hack: use tinned beans, or bulk prepare dried ones and freeze
boil potato, cheaper and filling (used to eat lots of beans i slacked they are expensive compared to ohter nutriment source0
Can we talk about how there’s no vegan options at a hospital. THE HOSPITAL.
Depends on your location
they want us to be sick. they profit off f it.
This is a serious issue! As a patient with POTS/EDS/MCAS/heart disease who's always in the hospital, I always talk with the hospital dietitians about the lack of vegan and nutritious meals. Sadly, even the few vegetables and fruit on the menu and in the cafeteria are not even fresh! I've stayed in several hospitals and it's the same in all of them.
there is in the UK. Gluten Free, vegan and dairy free : )
Yeah, friend underwent chemotreatment
for sugartriggered cancer. Meals served were full of sugar and bad grease. Drinks were sugarloaded soda's.
Asking for herbal teas ended up in obtaining a nasty cup of coffeetasting lukewarm water with a bag of chamomile tea with artificial honey flavour.
Several patients suffered B12 deficiency. Turned out not the vegans or veggies. We learnt modern intensive farming makes even cows getting b12 supplements, 'cause the soil has been emptied from vital elements and nutriments destroyed by chemical industrial fertilizers. A part from salt and sugar there is a long way of taste, these kids are starting out on to journey that.
I love that the college student incorporated poc cultural foods and mentioned that other countries have been practicing veganism before it became extremely popular in the West
I actually applauded 😂
What was the point of her mentioning that?? I think most people already understand that, and it has nothing to do with the video itself.
@@robertcarson3116 maybe some people don't know it? everyone has to learn somewhere and it took like 5 seconds to say :) stay positive man:)
These kids are MUCH better cooks than I was at their age! I was literally still eating sandwiches for dinner until my wife and I started living together and she said “we’re not eating sandwiches and boiled broccoli every night for dinner…” 😂
I totally agree but I also think that it’s so much easier these days with the ease of accessibility to the internet. Everything is literally at your fingertips!
But sandwiches and steamed broccoli are soo good 😂
I ate bread with cheese and a bar for 6 years of my education and I never even questioned it.. however "vegan cheese" contains probably a ton of chemicals and is also not healthy
@@wolfblood5500 I’m vegan and I can speak for most vegans when I say that vegans don’t eat much imitation products. They’re more of a fun gimmick than an actual household staple. Plus there’s a million ways to make vegan cheese at home that are usually cheaper
At least you ate your veggies... 😂
I would love to see a “what three vegans with different disabilities eat in a day.” I know as a person with chronic illness and gastroparesis, that cooking and eating are very different for those with mobility or energy issues.
As a disabled vegan hard agree! I’d love to see more disability inclusivity when it comes to cooking/recipe videos x
That is so true
Then do it?
Hey everyone :) Thank you all so much for watching and for your support. Sending love to all the vegans out there enjoying and sharing their sacred cultural foods with us and especially my fellow Brazilian vegans. Te amo!
Well done and thank you, Keala
Your meals looked amazing 🤩🤩🤩
@@jillianwebb8725 thank you for the support!❤️
@@daniella7520 thank you❤️
You had me drooling the entire video def trying the last curry greetings from Ecuador beautiful 🤍
As a pescatarian pre med student trying to be a vegan medical school student this is super cool. Definitely new recipes I want to try ☺️☺️
The college student's vegan cooking, and knowledge about nutrition and cultures was amazing! I'd love to taste her cooking!
Me, a vegan of 8 years, currently eating a burger in a pitta bread for dinner lol. I admire anyone who has the energy to look after themselves so well.
I am so surprised we saw such complex cooking/ meals! At university/ college almost all of my meals were based on time saving mechanisms! I can’t remember the last weekday where I actually cooked my breakfast either 🤣 almost always protein porridge or peanut butter and jam on toast haha
ok
same, i'm in college right now and i'm lucky if i eat before dinner lol
I'm impressed with the time all these students took to make their meals, props! I was so excited to see the fejuada since I'm Brazilian! :D
that brazillian-style breakfast bowl looked otherworldy!!! would be so good with plantains as well
Wow! There were so interesting recipes! Loved it! Although I can't believe how dedicated and invested these kids are with their sourcing ingredients, cooking, meal prepping, owning stuffs like blenders!! All I had in my uni room was a tiny rice cooker! So cool to watch to this!! :)
Breakfast, peanut butter and jam on toast. Lunch, leftovers from the previous night. Dinner, noodle and tofu/veg stir fry, pasta, chickpea curry, or a tofu/bean bowl with some rice and veg. I rarely spend more than 30 minutes on dinner, and breakfast and lunch need to take 5 minutes or less.
This video is great meal inspiration! The college student’s meals look especially wholesome and refreshing. The two girls especially are making me want to eat more nutritious and vibrant foods. Also I loved the vibrant green of the other girl’s pesto pasta
I’m not a vegan (I’m vegetarian, but eat 70% vegan) and I’m also a medical student! These are great meal ideas, I’ll definitely be trying some of these.
Same boat, dude. Well I’m not the household buyer but I would love to be vegan and I like to think if I was the buyer I would 100% be vegan. But especially as the person who doesn’t prepare the meals or buy the food, there’s way too much dairy in like literally every food to avoid it, unfortunately.
The vegan high schooler eats much healthier than I do as a vegan high schooler😅
thats why she is in this goodfull video and you are not
@@isabellaweir2763 That's crazyy because it's almost like I didn't ask nor care😅
I feel like 1-3 hours to cook beans for breakfast is a little unrealistic for most people.
Which is why she pointed out you can meal prep it.
Plus, there's a new invention called "canned beans".
Here in Brazil we eat beans with rice everyday so everybody has a pressure cook, but canned beans are not that easy to find here
@@violet6450 How much faster is the pressure cooker? I usually make a large batch and eat through the week, but they get strange around day 4-5. Still good, just not *as* good lol. Canned beans are nice, but they're not the same as ones made from "scratch". Pinto beans especially are hard to find a decent brand.
I soak them in water the night before and then cook them in my normal pot in like 40 mins
There's this thing called canned beans. And this other thing called "making large batches ahead of time). Just let them boil while you study. Or get canned ones.
Love kealas energy and recipes
Thank you❤️
Omgg i love when u guys do this type of videos, out of all the videos i think this one has had the most delicious flavors shout-out to keala everything she made looked 11/10
i prefer their other videos
Everything looks so yummy! I would love this to be a series 💚💖
Excellent video! Would love to see more of Keala on the channel
I loved the recipes on this video,it's absolutely delicious!!
I don't remember cooking in high school. :p
I think most of us don't cook in high school or at least not daily.
It's amazing she does.
All of them made really good nutritious food. 😊
Love these video ideas. So fun to watch
I know these videos would be boring if people showed what they actually ate, but it’s just not realistic for most people to cook three elaborate meals every single day, especially as busy students. It just makes veganism look difficult and inaccessible.
Omg, Keala is so cute and her meals looked bomb! 😍
Thank you :)
@@kealauchoa 🤗
Ok, the brunette knows how to cook full stop. Her food looks so flavourful
Thank you for showing more vegan videos! I love seeing what other vegans eat
This was so good! Can u do a video like this but for low carb vegan, high fat vegan, and a raw vegan version? 🙏🏼☺️
I love adding couscous to salads, quinoa and bulgur are great too!
Really great recipes!
LOL These pple have it together. When I was in college, I had max $20 a week of grocery budget.
My diet consisted of ramen with tofu & greens or Indian Dahl with rice. When I was at school I'd splurge on $0.70 samosas or $1 falafel pitas.
Great idea, but would be much more realistic if the college student was in a dorm with limited kitchen and equipment
she probably lives in an apartment where most likely has more space
that last dish is insanely good. prob my fav thing to make
all the meals looked delicious! happy and grateful to be vegan :) gotta eat now, this video made me hungry!
Delicious recipes, great video
this gave me some good ideas alll the meals look delicious
Awesome recipes everyone!
That college student had some wonderful meals. That curry dinner she made looked great. I would have just had added a ton of vegetables.
Ong they all look so good. I like the spinach pasta one. She’s right too you can eat it cold warm hot it’s always good
I would love to do Turkish college student type of thing for Goodful bc our economy is bad and it is hard to live any way, I would love to guide some people bc I have my life together at least as a vegan. (BTW, it is interestingly easier to live as a vegan in Turkey bc meat and dairy products are really expensive!)
I am not fully vegan but I am trying to be more plant-based so these recipes are very helpful! Especially the college student!
I love how healthy all the dishes are
There are some great recipes in here
4:00 breakfast? that's just straight up dessert.
when i was a student i was broke af and made chili for like lunch dinner 3 days in a row. really not realistic at all
Yum I think I'm gonna be vegan
You can do it! Nisha/RainbowPlantLife has a great video on how & why.
@@wordsandtricks oh my god I love Nisha’s videos/blog. So much healthy food without cutting back on flavor or indulgence
Well done to everyone!!
I really want to be like this. I’ve been really trying to explore more with food since becoming vegan and so have quite a bit which has helped but not to this level with creating stuff on my own and making it so delicious like these people are. I am only 14 and plan to be vegan for the rest of my life but I’m glad to get inspiration and ideas from people like them.
I find that sunflower seed butter gives me that same consistency is like peanut butter out of a jar which now I am allergic to peanut butter when I was younger I wasn’t so it helps the texture difference
all of these meals look delicious omg
Wow these cooks throw down in the kitchen! Yum! 😋
I love that AJ is like, "yeah, I'm pretty busy," and got take out. I can imagine!😂😂
Yay l got great ideas from y’all
and as a working vegan for breakfast i grab my cereal and eat it dry
@goodful you should do WHAT I EAT IN A DAY for vegan people who love alternatively (van lifers, nomads, etc).
YUM. I liked the Vegan College recipe but as soon she said Thai or Malaysia, I know it's gonna be good recipe
All these foods look so good!! I love cooking and want to be pescatarian, but I’m also gluten intolerant and so I can’t eat a lot of stuff like bread, pasta, and seitan 🥲sending love to all the vegans vegetarians and pescatarians🤟
I’m a vegan with gluten intolerance and I’ve never felt better being vegan for 3 years! :) eating whole foods, gluten free pasta alternatives, and lots of other things have helped me a lot! You can do it!!
I also recommend Julien Solomita’s channel, he makes a lot of delicious gluten free vegan food!
@@ren3989 I’ve looked at gluten free pasta (any recommendations) but that’s awesome you feel so much better, that makes me more hopeful
Gluten free alternatives exist for almost everything-I’m celiac and it really doesn’t effect anything minus a lot of fake meat products. But I can still find gluten free nuggets, burgers, meatballs & sausages!
Please always count your sugar intake lots of the glutenreplacements include more rice corn, potato- starch etc. You may want to ask a dietecian or folks on the web . We're in the same boat. Enjoy the discovery
That salad looks good I want to try it! And the pesto.
does anyone know where one can find that food cart with African Jerk BBQ 👀👀
NEW VEGAN HERE!!
😊thank you for the animals 🐄🐷🐑
I'm going to have to make that salsa verde
Omg they’re all so preeeeeeeeeeety
I kneeeew she was Brazilian
The beans were on point
OH MY GOD a I need to try all of these 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
these are so goood!!!
Looks good but we need some representation from our vegan junk foodies haha
Right
Babyyyy!!! The amount of times that I waited for someone to say seasoning!
@@marissawilson4644 vegan food is all about that spice!
There is one video that features a vegan junk foodie
There is a video with Whole Food Vegan and Junk Food Vegan
The college student is doing all this for breakfast?! Lol soaking beans, blending up peppers, etc.. She picked her Sunday breakfast , I got time to cook to cut up potatoes to make fried potatoes, instead of scrambled eggs you do a omelette, I’m off of work breakfast.
I usually meal prep beforehand. I was showing how to make all components rather than just plating it because I wanted to share as many recipes with folks as possible. many people found it helpful!
Lots of nice recipes, but I can't imagine cooking three meals a day. I'm from a bread culture. Hot meals really aren't a thing outside of dinner.
Same here. Where are you from?
If you're from a place where there's no rice/quinoa/oats, it makes more sense to include milk in your diet.
In that case, I suggest going vegetarian. Would be a lot easier & you wouldn't feel like you lost anything.
The collegr girl is PRO !!!
Food looks great…slightly confused by the “pesto” because pesto isn’t cooked, it’s blended or processed…also so sad that there is no basil in the pesto…that’s like a key ingredient 😩
Oop not me seeing my classmate on a Goodful recommended
wow the cinnamon
…how do these folks have any time??? I have 5 mins to go to the dining hall for oatmeal in the morning ahh
That used to be me until I moved off campus :) I used to jazz up my dining hall oatmeal with nut butter/seed butter, sliced up bananas, cinnamon, etc. I also used to sneak raw ingredients from the dining and go cook them in my dorm kitchen too, haha!
Uhm. Wake up 5-15 minutes earlier and bam you can make tofu scramble as well or dump canned beans in a tortilla with hummus and veg. Or make stuff the evening before and have leftovers.
@@0Josipa0 i wish. no time to shop=no time to cook. very busy student
@@abby31415 yeeeeaaaah right, you live on air because you never have time to eat, sure.
@@0Josipa0 i eat in the dining hall :) i just don't have any time to cook for myself
The college student looks so young, younger than the high school student. That will help in the long run.
All of them are amazing for doing what they do.
I know a philly subway when I see one!
All of these look delicious
You need to use a paper towel with a little oil on it. Spread it thin and evenly across the pan. Your Pancakes will come out golden brown
His girlfriend is so pretty and he’s so cute. They look like a great couple 🥰
holy crap... AJ was my RA in college.
i’m 17 and i eat dinner my mum makes lol, this girl has time on her hands because i could never make such long complicated dishes on a school day
I am not vegan but those meals did looking amazing.
Yeaaaah you expect me to believe this is a realistic breakfast you have as a college student and not like a once in a blue moon weekend meal
u can literally just meal prep
just turned vegetarian 5 days ago and i feel like i have more variety of food to make, cause eating meat everyday would be easy to trow some rice and we´re done. Thank god I made my decision. However I think I might keep eating chicken once a month or either fish, cause that´s what doctors recommend to keep the protein, and ik u can keep the protein with other foods but I don´t trust myself with that ahaahha but is already suuuuch a big improvement
@@catleigh1540 but i could not be eating enough of the one i have easily in meat!
Vegan content... Yay 🥰💚
heartbroken when he said "girlfriend"
Nobody has time in the morning to cook beans for 1 to 3 hours 😂
yay
its sweet seeing so much vegan/plant based content pop up everywhere, goes to show how our society is shifting slowly. Then again considering the state of the world its shocking its taking so long when the science and data is clear :O.
Pls add all the ingredients it’s killin me
Some students make time to make healthy meals every day. Just because you don’t have time or are too lazy doesn’t mean this video has to be fake (also not saying it’s not).
Couscous is not a grain, it is a tiny pasta.
Happy weekend to you
Thats a lot of tofu in one video😂
Where do these people find the time?!
Why are people so obsessed with excess protein, we literally don’t need that much unless you’re a body builder or something
come ooon, you got so much patience to do this 3 times day?😓
Some of u are lazy asf and it shows
What do you people eat if you don't prepare food? So many of these things take like 10-30 minutes, that's nothing. And gives you more energy and better mood in comparison to processed "food".
@@Melissa-ve9mt sis, I gotta do stuff for university, I cannot cook like this three times a day with two different phases of cooking etc
A lot of them you can meal prep. Or make 2 portions for dinner and eat the other half for lunch the next day.
You cook like this and eat the leftovers for the days after. That’s how I do it. I don’t like to cook every day so I make sure I cook enough to just reheat and eat.
