  • The conclusion of the comparison between Chrome Paint, Silvering(Silver Mirror) and Electroless Nickel:
    1. In order to achieve the best results you need to start with a Black Mirror like base, a clear that is super glossy and hard.
    2. Chrome paint can be sealed with water based sealer and it will not affect the reflectivity very much, Silver is the most reflective of all the metals but it's also quite fragile. Nickel has a darker tone but it's super durable, all of those three methods of achieving a reflective surface have their Pros and Cons.
    3. Chrome Paint Pros: Cheap, least complex of the process and when properly sealed it can retain much of it's reflection. Cons: It's only for display purposes as it's not conductive and tricky to seal it.
    4. Silvering Pros: Most reflective metal, only requires Sensitizer. Cons: Very complex process, quite fragile and will yellow/tarnish over time even when sealed(needs to be sealed for handling) Chemicals Once Mixed and Used can't be reused.
    5. Nickel Pros: Very Durable surface, it will not tarnish, it does not need to be sealed, very conductive and can be used as conductive base for further electroplating, Nickel Solution can be reused many times before being replenished and can be replenished many times before a new batch is required, the spent batch can be repurposed as Nickel strike if need be. Cons: Initial cost of Sensitizer/Activator is high(but for display purposes you can coat hundreds of small 3D Prints so it evens out) Process can be quite complex, Color tone is darker when compared to Chrome paint

I'm from Brazil, could you help me with the formula? Where can I find information to carry out this nickel process?
