Randomly rewatching this 2 years later because I remember this being one of my favorite Live episodes. The Princess Auto shopping trip now has so much more meaning post-Road Quest.
the device being discussed at 44:40 is an electric cooker meant to be used by truckers out on the road. I literally just had a training module that showed one haha
I'm American and everyone in my family leaves toilet paper, the code# for the wall color at the local paint store(as well as any leftover cans), a couple lightbulbs, and some minimum cleaning supplies.
Your family is exceptionally considerate (I like the paint reference codes) and should be praised and commended. I'm Canadian and I've NEVER heard of this 'moving out courtesy' thing until today...and I'm in my forties; must be a West Coast thing.
This is the magical journey I personally went on during the Personal Shoppers segment. 37:30 *DOOOOOOGE!!!* 37:40: Wait... what's Beej on about now? I stopped paying attention. Wait, no, follow that unleashed doge! 47:30: BUT PIXEL DOGE! (but actually the other picture is nicer, I think) 48:00: Should've bought the pixel doge. 49:50: Ian made the correct decision. 52:10: Wow, he sure did make the correct decision.
So, i know that the steamed hams against humanity bit was supposed to be a funny improv skit... but my god did it feel like some sort of a strange avante gaurde performance piece. you know, like the kind that's cooked up by a B+ art student who hasn't thought the premise through all the way and its supposed to make this really deep point about life, the universe, and the meaning of everything, but it just ends up being a surreal mess? got some laughs outta me though, so hey the comedy worked.
Well. That Steamed Hams bit was slightly clunky and a dipping into the lolrandom humor... But I was laughing the whole time and the presentation of the lines felt pretty spot on. So overall, loved it.
I feel it would have worked better if it had been from a creative seed (e.g. LNDF-style) rather than swapping out words from a pre-existing script. (Also the segment itself makes 0 sense if you don't know the original version)
I enjoyed how completely terribly it worked. Like, it's not my favorite Cards Against segment they've done, but it was a fun time (I was scared for the picture though. It looked so much endangered, what with all the people and the things moving around).
I feel Alex would genuinely ENJOY that trip. Ben? Well, if you gave him a busy task like recording and editing a vlog for it, and a friend like Alex to keep him company, he'd probably be fine with it. (In all honesty, I showed the 'passenger on a freighter' bit to my wife and she was "Oh hey! That cabin actually looks nicer than some hotel rooms we've stayed in" and I'm kinda tempted to put something like that on my bucket list, myself.)
"Stream highlights" would be some terrible flavour like coffee. Because I can't watch that part without turning the volume down or I'll wake the SO up.
ah yes an anti fatigue matt the thing someone keeps telling you to get until you realise you've owned one for 2 years and it's been sitting 6 feet away from you this entire time but hasn't been used :)
So when the Marios come for me during my overnight security shift, do I get turned into a Mario, or do I have a choice of which animal skin I get stuffed into?
Tsutomu Nihei, the distopian scifi manga author behind Knights of Sidonia and Blame, announced he was forming a game studio. The studio name is a callback to his manga.
Is it just me or does there seem to be a higher density of clips from Let's Nope in the highlight reel lately? And clips featuring Ben, eventhough they occasionally aren't even very funny? I don't think it's me. 60 clips from 31 broadcasts, 8 of which were from Let's Nope, a show that was only on once in those two weeks. It could have easily done without several clips, The bouncing things .... from that trailer, the burp speech, the endless hallway and the dairy queen one, and it would have given more attention to that 12 hour LAN stream, which was sorely underrepresented, it had great parts with Rocket League and other games, which weren't seen at all. Just saying, a more equal representation of the various streams would be better, as a lot of good highlights are skipped over it seems. Heck, the Squeet clip wasn't even on one of those highlight reels for some mindboggling reason.
Hey friend! I can help answer this question in more detail if you're looking for an answer. There are multiple factors involved in a clip making the highlight reel. All clips used in the highlights are ones made by you, the fans. If a moment is not clipped in the first place, then it won't make the reel. Second, the clip needs to be clean and understandable. If there is cross-talk or maybe the game audio is too loud and the focus of the clip gets lost or muddled, then it doesn't end up working. The other major thing is that the joke needs to be quick and concise, or at least be able to be summed in in a short 10 second TOPS timeframe with little to no context. In the case of the LAN, we received around 6-8 clips from the LAN that were properly clipped, and the ones that DID make it into the reel were ones that didn't have 5 other people talking over the focus of the clip. At the end of the day, what we like to tell folks is if you feel there's things getting missed, we advertise to go out there and make sure you clip your favorite moments, and if it doesn't make the reel, it doesn't mean its not fun, but that it just didn't work in the edit. Hopefully this helps!
That introduction was brilliantly done! Good job with the animatronic-style acting!

the device being discussed at 44:40 is an electric cooker meant to be used by truckers out on the road. I literally just had a training module that showed one haha
What an intro! Holy moly guys, loved it!
Steamed Hamanity might be the best sketch you've ever done on LoadingReadyLive. Absolute perfection
Somebody please send these people some kind of Goop care package. Graham's reaction during Mail Time would be worth it.
Don't give money to Goop.
I desperately wanted to hear Lorna Schlitzwhistle describing Ben's Showcase.
I still come back every-so-often for the Hall of Marios intro. It's so good!
The Hall of Marios was a new high for the show! Great work guys!
Can we get a seperate vid of the MAR10 part? I need it to rake in the karma next year now I know it's a thing.
honestly this show is one of the coolest things on the internet. you guys are incredible
"The prism is suitable for any orifice!"
"That's a trip to the hospital! That's a trip to the hospital that you put inside yourself!"
"I've shredded the slopes On Tour" 3:35
In my opinion, that was pretty clever.
So was the rest of the intro, good job. :D
I enjoy that Ian somehow managed to make a callback to the macrame from Alex's showcase... In a prerecorded bit.
HOLY SHIT!!! My late grandma used to have a huge stitched version of the artwork at 47:21! What a fucking throwback!
I need to post the words Steamed Hamanity so that that is in text somewhere on the internet. Excellent work to all concerned.
THANK YOU FOR BRINGING BACK THE WEIRD ISH!!! Steamed Ham was absolutely FNTASTIC!!!
Happy MAR10 (even though it's MAR11 now)

"Digestive release massage"?
That sounds like the polar opposite of a happy ending.
Well. That Steamed Hams bit was slightly clunky and a dipping into the lolrandom humor... But I was laughing the whole time and the presentation of the lines felt pretty spot on. So overall, loved it.
I also was surprised by how well they made it work.

Yes!
I'd love to see Ben and Alex on that sea crossing, vloging each day their decent into madness!

The UNIQUE world of Princess Auto. For our American fiends, think Harbour Freight.
THANK YOU; I've been struggling to find an analogous reference for ages.
Did anyone end up cleaning the lens you used during the Personal Shopper reveal bit?
I own of a copy of Wild Animus which I acquired in college exactly the way that Kathleen described.
Wow, some actual theater troupe shit goes on in this one. Amazing.
YES YES YES YES INTRO MAR10/10
Great Show !! LOVED IT
That Mario intro was AMAZING!
That end segment was fantastic
But... But... Why no RPG Mario? Seven Stars, Paper, a Thousand Doors, with crazy rabbits, and jumping between dimensions!
that got cut for time, sadly :(
I love how macrame is an ongoing theme.
That Ben segment gave me warm fuzzies
That sick Spruce Grove joke though. Too real Ian, too real.
It's a bad idea to watch this while sitting in a capsule hotel in Tokyo. Boy is it difficult to not laugh through the shopping bit!
I'm excited for the VOD of dokidoki
Loved the Personal Shopping segment!
GOD DAMN. That intro was craaaaaazyyyy good. ok and that outro was crazy good
Today I learned Gweneth Paltrow is insane.
It's a shame; I really liked her Pepper Potts...
Delightfully Devilish / 10
Can confirm. Many copies of Wild Animus were given out on my campus
Not to be a pedant, but medical grade silicone is generally dishwasher safe. Makes cleanup nice and easy
**beep!** "Oh, hey-"
Seeing the highlights makes me wish I could watch the streams, or at least their VODs...
"Stream highlights" would be some terrible flavour like coffee. Because I can't watch that part without turning the volume down or I'll wake the SO up.
CMA CGM *still* faster than Via Rail.
"I resent that you're not even wrong."
Princess Auto sound to me like the Canadian equivalent to Swedens Biltema
(After hearing about the regimen for a 'detox spa') "I...always thought these health food nuts were full of shit, but apparently not." XD
That crystal is THICK.
In the States, the apartment management will charge you a cleaning fee and throw away the toilet paper if you leave a roll.
Best intro yet x3
No context LRR viewer - I just did my testosterone shot watching this
James and Cori are a great cH acting duo!
The moment I heard spa my mind went Colonic
59:54 Lol no no, people with lactose intolerance are the ones that love cheese the MOST

Legit, slap chops are really good.
So when the Marios come for me during my overnight security shift, do I get turned into a Mario, or do I have a choice of which animal skin I get stuffed into?
What game studio opening did Cam and Alex got excited about in the highlight reel? Google and the Twitch clip page proved less than useful...

PandasAndPancakes Thank you!
not gonna lie. even 42 days isn't enough for me to beat all of my video game backlog. even not counting games that require an internet connection.
Sweded Hams against humanity was great
OMG the hall of Marios
Oh my gawh, I actually had that model set.
Shame inferno clearly is a beanboozle situation in terms of ice-cream flavor: PEACH OR BARF

Wait, so you have a Sydney as well as a Victoria? This is getting suspicious...
Canada's got it all...(and technically YOU have OUR town names - ours are older. ;) )
I'm looking forwards to the Cam and kathleen doki doki stream upload
Spoiler: Ben Wins.
No he does not win.
Ben wins and then in a prerecorded segment he REALLY wins.
Well, he didn't have a deck full of proxies this time. And even then, he didn't win.
So did you'll have an earthquake or some kind of apocalypse?
I have that ballroom cd!
31:30 Okay, I did.
