I did manage to get it right away, it being one of my favourite songs #humblebrag?, but Ian did really get me with the "in your head, in your head" afterwards
I work at the North Dakota State Archives and we still have a copy of that Carmen Sandiego video game! I remember Meteor Man! I didn't see it but I remember it coming out.
@@ridingwarthogs3244 It's only once per month now, but yeah it's good stuff :) And @LtSMASH324 best part is that there's a big 56 ep backlog for you to check out ^_^ I recommend Halloween and Christmas episodes in particular. And ep. 24: Peach or barf... unless you're super sensitive to barf. Then I un-recommend it.
Speak for yourselves! We just had some sort of post-tropical system make its way through here this weekend; after getting used to 'colder' autumn temperatures and changing our outerwear, it's jumped from ~8deg.C to >20deg.C - my thighs have been moister than they were all summer! :(
The timing on North Dakota in terms of Carmen Sandiego is just before Time was released worldwide by months. Space was another four years down the line. Really.
It’s already winter here in Minnesota because of global warming, so I am very jealous of you. I am also jealous because of the legal marijuana. At least we have vaccines.
Pretty sure they overlaid a translucent image of the empty room onto the same shot. They interact with the background too much for it to be greenscreened from elsewhere
I think in regards to the philosophical debate. A game within a game is still a game if it has a clear objective or win state. Because you can then complete the game and return to your game life, much in replication of actual games. A film within a film shouldn't be considered a real film as you would never get to watch a full film within a film and merely get to see clips or posters advertising the fake film. This becomes more complex when it comes to tv shows within tv shows as sketch shows have a habit of doing skit's that are in and of themselves tv shows (for the meta value), i would argue that unless there is a scheduled time slot in tv programming for the in tv show then you can't exactly tune in to specifically watch the show with a show (unlike you could with regular tv shows), Therefore I believe that from a certain perspective the piece of media within a different piece of media can't really be considered real unless it can be consumed separately from its origin. As an example, a card game that can only be played after hitting level 20 in an MMORPG isn't separate and therefore is just a part of the MMORPG. but a hidden secret game within the menu of a game should be considered separate as you can play it without even playing the outer layer of game ever (if you really wanted to). As another example, Dino Jump is a game that you can play but in and of itself is just linked into the chrome browser this doesn't stop it being a game as you can play it when you want to without having to jump through hoops of reaching a level in a game or watching most of a t.v show. There are many other great examples that I want to pull up but realistically this comment is way too long already O.o
@@pandoranbias1622 Thank you. It looked like a silent film, so I googled "silent film devil monk" and a clip looking a whole lot like what LRR used for their game showed up on the first page of results with "Häxan" right there in the title. I admit I have pretty strong Google-fu, but I was expecting to have to do a lot more digging (like what I had to do to figure out where I had seen that screaming lady from Graham's clip - the answer being the song "Bonjour, Lobey" from "Freakazoid!").
I guess nine countries is more impressive if you're from Canada or the US. For a European that basically means you've gone on a summer road trip once. :P
Love LRR, also am REALLY over Kathleen's eccentric "spiritual" characters. They grate my nerves in every iteration. Please. Stop. They aren't 'knowledgeable' enough for a humorous wink and to someone who doesn't know the basis of the spoof it's just word salad . I would love to see this chapter of character development come to an end.

"Debating whether I'll be sick enough in the next 3 years to buy the family pack of Sleepquil" ... Oh JEEZUS this hits different.
Ohhh geez yeah
I love how Beej lost his goddamn mind trying to guess "Satan."
I have to admit, the cranberries joke at the beginning of Serge's Dead on Location took me a minute to get.
i did not get it
@@Coolbond2 it's a reference to Zombies by The Cranberries.
Same

I love how Beej hates that he has to succumb to the Yes And
He's always so angry about those segments. I don't know if I should be worried for him.
Annar Fjor No need to, but thank you. ^_^
@@tuxbeej omg that was hilarious!
So we learned about this thing called moxie...
Have I commented on this one before? Apparently not? Alrighty!
4:30 or so's "Ian, please. I'm begging you." absolutey KILLED me 🤣

Hah! Joke's on you, Paul. I totally did use the name Atrocia for a character in D&D once, and I had never even heard of this!
I LOVED Meteor Man as a kid! The cat walk runway model fight scene was brilliantly funny.
The movie was also a predominantly black cast, long before Black Panther.
I've never watched this series before, I am very confused but also... delighted?
its great, always a ton of variety. It aires every other Saturday I believe if you wanna see it live
*dons Cenobite costume* We have such sights to show you!

Ian's so nice. He could have easily gotten revenge for previous shame inferno's but instead he gives delicious treats.
I too am glad my thighs are no longer sweating

I love this so danged much. Happy thanksgiving, everyone!

I remember that a state-specific Carmen game existed, but I couldn't remember which state it was.
Direct mouth deposit just sounds like the PG way of explaining a certaint finish move in special movies 😉
I looked up Big Turks on amazon and it showed Coffee Crisps as being frequently bought together lol
10:10 Ah yes, the awkward, far-out situation of having a drink with another person.
Lot's of hiccups this time but all in all, a blast. Soo looking forward to Road Quest, too!
Also, ya'll speak for yourselves, fall is the second worst season, leading into the actual absolute not even close worst winter.
That jousting game looks like so much fun!
AAAAAAA ROADQUEST LANDS TODAY
Spotted the Round the Horne joke at 1:11
Quick question right off the top... why not use the zombie horse mask? I've been waiting for you to use it on camera...

Ummmm... You do realize they get them for free right?
JoelRiter I mean I get them for free through my school, but after I graduate from high school they will take that from me as well.
I'm in Texas, we gave 9 months of summer and a month of fall winter and spring
How did y'all do the spooky transparent effect in the last segment?
Pretty sure they overlaid a translucent image of the empty room onto the same shot. They interact with the background too much for it to be greenscreened from elsewhere
now i just want to watch road quest again
How did they do that last segment live like that? So awesome
ruthless efficiency
In Australia Big Turk is called Turkish Delight
so Paul said we've got to *finish* sorting these things into categories, does that mean this was the final episode of This or That?
Don't think so. They were sent a lot of them and Graham seems to enjoy them so it's probably a call to how they are behind on their catalog.
I think it was just the final part of "is this a real video game/movie/tv show"
Aha, taking ideas from Whose Line is it Anyway? ... Yes, do more of that. A+

Oof it's still hot over here :(
What was the satan centered horror movie? I know the other two, but i cant find the third.
As best as I can find out, I'm fairly sure it's a Swedish silent film called Häxan.

It is indeed Haxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages. That is the director, Benjamin Cristensen himself playing Satan in this scene :D
What is the game for the joust
Johann Sebastian Joust
What exactly were they playing at the end?
Johann Sebastian Joust. It's part of SportsFriends.

Yeah, _Road Quest_ would've been nine-plus countries in Europe.
The only thing I dislike about doing roadquest as a premiere is youtube livestreames are glitched as fuck on mobile
BEN NO. NO NINA TUCKER JOKES.
I... Just want... Road quest....
Where the hell has Loading Ready Live been? It's been 2 months now :(
