Why the difference in money from the start??
They make offers to get the "best" of the 2 town to start with. And to be the first player. So the player who "loses" the auction process gets the offered ammount from the other player.

@@pontussamuelsson4003 There's a randomized element first, that decides which 2 towns are going to compete. Then they make offers in turn, until one passes. then the last offer is decided. then offers on 1st player the same way. then those are added or subtracted according to the 2 offers. then the resulting amount is added to the game conditions. So when the game starts, the money is already decided and changed.

Why so rarely go for diplomacy? Is it to keep the game balanced or what? With some 50k gold get units and fight the gold back in 1 turn but now a much bigger army?!?! Am I missing something?
In the sidezines Diplo is 50%, and in Desert its 25%. Meaning if you were to diplo 3 Behes, you'd pay for 3 but only get 1.
@@averagelizard2489 oooooh okay so they have balanced it out so its not as easy to build an army that way. That makes sense. Thanks
