Installing Windows 11 to Recycle Bin

- Hello, my friends! Let's hit 20K likes? Check out my website! enderman.ch
Today I am going to install Windows 11 to the Recycle Bin. Essentially, I'll just send that operating system to where it truly belongs. Recycle Bin being just a hidden directory in the filesystem makes it absolutely possible to install Windows to it!
Still got questions? Don't hesitate, send them to contact@enderman.ch!
Hope you have a great day!

If explorer crashes, maybe replace it with win10 explorer? :D
I will try that in the next video! Thanks

You know it is a great time when Enderman uploads everyday or every short period of time.
These videos were probably created when UA-cam blocked enderman from uploading videos unless he was making videos as he had been gone for a long time (by youtube)
@@bartexxyno. In the video you can see it's December 3
@@bartexxy dude check previous video, he interacted with few comments. he is not away.
Nah, I really record and edit those bad boys every single day. We're having a real nice winter out here, snowy and cozy. It really inspires me to make videos, even though it might be a weird correlation. I'm a weird dude
YES IT IS
This guy has been inactive for months, and now he's doing daily uploads. I'm really happy to see him doing stuff on windows again ;)

Real great
He has a second channel @andrewman which he does random shit he dont feel would fit on this channel, and also showed it around the time when youtube was on him for community guidelines he wasnt breaking
he was dealing with youtube messing with him
he talks about it a lot on his twitter which is where hes most active
5:04 I always thought that W11 was basically a W10 reskin, but I never expected that they didn’t even remove W10 shell
If I read correctly it's getting the proper kick in insider right now. It's how most start menu mod programs work (StartAllBack, etc.)
Yeah, starting from Germanium 26002.
It quickly went from "this could just be a windows 10 update" to "oh god at least remove the old shell guys"
I think windows 11 21h2 is truly the windows 10 reskin, after some big and moment updates, they remove a little windows 10 feature such as windows 10 taskbar or change the old appearances into the modern one with mica effect.
@@osinternalsNah fr it's a whole different OS now but for some reason Microsoft still has the Windows 10 shell built into it
The Recycle Bin has always had weird "super hidden" properties since Windows 95. Just the mere presence of a desktop ini in a *subdirectory* of the main Recycle Bin can cause the parent contents to be hidden from explorer, though cmd can always see them with dir /a
When you said Windows doesn't recognize CMD at 6:25, you forgot you moved it to sethc.exe in the installation media to change the workgroup at 4:48 :)
This is so ironic considering the fact Enderman wished Windows 11 was all just a nightmare.
6:52 Why do you need the desktop per se? Typing "Recycle Bin" into the breadcrumb bar will work usually. I verified that you can do this directly from control panel. The name of recycle bin will vary depending on installation language. It should even show the option to empty the recycle bin in the topmost toolbar
I don't use Recycle Bin at all. Just checked, you're right! Thanks for the tip. I'll explain why you can't empty it with Windows inside in the video tomorrow.
Looking forward to it 😁
This man took "In the bin, where it belongs!" to a whole new level
and it's true
Also, I found a Windows 7 Transformation Pack for Windows 10. Can you review it??
Send it to me over e-mail! contact@enderman.ch

6:40 it can't find cmd.exe because you moved cmd.exe to sethc.exe and didn't copy it
I think he meant to copy. 😂
Good catch! I should have checked against other executables too, but yeah, I meant to xcopy that haha
Yo ur in the new vid
@@Endermanchsay... what's the difference between "copy" and "xcopy"
What happens if you install Windows 10 to a removable drive, and then modify that removable drive, bypassing permissions system and potentially DRM?
enderman answer this
@@veterbaev2 i heard youtubers dont or no longer get notification who super donates, give him some time.
Just mount your windows drive on linux and that bypasses every permission no?
The Windows Installer PE already pretty much disregards the install's ACL, if that's what you'd use that bypass for. Or do you mean modifying the data in realtime?
@@Endermanch Could use to modify UWP apps, or maybe modify it in real time.
This is an extremely intresting creation, I am suprised that Windows didn't try to empty itself, permenently deleting all of the contents. It's intresting that it let you move the stuff (But makes sense) as some files if they are too large they can't be recycled (as you will know.)
You've always got these crazy cool ideas, keep it up Enderman!!!!
I would try make a symlink from C:/windows to recycle bin on top of all of this to let all of the apps that just directly reference C:/windows work. Also would change registry to use recycle bin after install from another os as well as before
I have tried a symlink with such an install before! It doesn't boot, Windows Boot Manager doesn't seem to be able to resolve them. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@Endermanch what if boot manager still uses the destination of the link but everything that's hard coded to use C:/windows (presumably only apps that work with symlinks) can still just use windows
@@Endermanch What if you use a hard link (directory junction) instead?
Maybe explorer didnt start because the maximum size of the recycle bin was too low?
That's what I thought too. I managed to break through and change the limit, it still crashed. Video about that releases tomorrow!
Its awesome to put an os where it truly belongs
when you press the up arrow at the upper left hand corner of the control panel to break out of it, it should take you into a version of the desktop page with a recycling bin icon in it.
I have absolutely no clue what's going on, but love watching this kind of videos. So glad you're back with it and keep going! :D
When you broke through to a "windowed" explorer, you could've just clicked the address bar and typed Recycle bin. Otherwise great video!
A banger as always. Keep pushing Andrew!
I think the system keeps deleting itself because it’s in the recycle bin. I don’t think there’s a way around that because of how windows codes the recycle bin. If you turned the recycle bin into a partition, it wouldn’t be the recycle bin anymore, it would just be another storage medium. Of course, I don’t know a lot about programming, so I could be wrong. I build and diagnose the hardware side of computers, not the software
0:43 Enderman casually saying you can't put it in itself like it was a normal thing to do
Thanks for continuing to make videos, my friend.
I also thank you for keeping your sites active.
recycle bin should be the default directory to install windows 11
Ironic fact: Windows 11 to Enderman is literally Windows Vista and Windows ME to us.

Finally the windows fix we all being waiting for
As for the reason why it was trying to load the windows 11 taskbar for SYSTEM, it could be because of the patch that removed the windows 10 taskbar, which SYSTEM uses by default, unless you're using a previous build of windows 11.
I love how Enderman starts off the video by roasting Windows 11

I don't know why YT doesn't recommend your content, this is exactly the stuff I want to see yet I have to personally search for your channel smh
Great vid as always!
It's even worse when sometimes it doesn't show what you search for even with the exact title or channel name

Nice to know you're back on again. Stay safe out there, lads.

Windows, now, is litterally trash
thats a fitting spot to install it for sure
Wow, that's really funny that this actually "works"! Also, the music you used here was quite nostalgic to me.

you can open the recycle bin in normal explorer by going into the folder and going into the folder labelled with the appropriate user sid
Really interesting! Enjoyed!
Now empty the recycling bin

You can also run file explorer (not the shell) from the command prompt by typing in explorer /(any letter), so for example explorer /f

you moved cmd.exe in the pre-installation environment, that's why run command for cmd.exe didn't launch from run dialog
Somehow never thought id see this.
Amazing video man ❤
I just wanted to ask, how is the youtube bs situation going?
Perfect! Keep up the schedule.
I love how windows casually gives you the ability to do this stuff
honestly as much as I thought windows 11 might've been a bit good I'm definitely considering reverting back to windows 10 because of the KB5030310 update, explorer doesn't even transfer my files using the address bar now :(
It's a great day when Endermanch uploads once in a time. Welcome, windows xp license temperer.
Finally daily Uploads on my favourite Channel!! Thanks😊
Right click the navigation pane and click show all folders, that will show a Recycle Bin icon without needing the desktop.
Here's a video suggestion that I'm curious to see now that you mention recycle bin:
What happens if you install Windows without a recycle bin and then try to delete something
assuming you dont have it set to delete files without recycling, itl probably compllain that it cant find the recycle bin directory and do nothing or just delete the file normally
@@ViciousVinnyD Yeah I was thinking that too but I dont have enough storage for virtualbox so I can't try it myself
You know it’ll be a good day when Enderman uploads
Windows should really feel at home in that diectory. Still you had to jump a lot of hoops.

Enderman Back With His Awesome Video
You could also add the recycle bin icon into expolrer this pc using registry, then you could theoretically open it without having access to desktop.
The recycle bin is actually accessible by clicking the up arrow in the explorer window. That gives you access to all the desktop icons.
"i managed to break through to the explorer widnow using control panel" that caught me SO off guard
i never realized you could do that
i actually laughed

Insane experiment i like that!
Try going to the home tab in explorer and then press the arrow up button next to the path, should show the recycle bin as a file
You: Mom, where is my computer?
Mom:Recycle Bin.
Maybe you should make Windows 11 look like Windows 10 as much as possible since there are 1 - 3 years left of Windows 10 support.
I like how literally recycling Windows 11 make the OOBE disappear xD
hey i have a question, where did you get that minimal cursor from?
So enderman is back on daily uploads again! Amazing!
Quite honestly i thought you were going to quit UA-cam after your "important update" video

The correct partition to install windows 11
Oh cool how did you get that cool background?
With the current rate of videos we'll see "Installing Windows to the boot sector of a floppy disk" really soon.
Couldn't you get the OOBE by launching it from CMD after the first reboot when it says that it can't be configured by going cd oobe and than msoobe commands?

Would have been cool to see what happens when you clear recycle bin
I feel like you could've accessed Recycle Bin using that explorer window you got open and using the direct ID to open it - like you can do with god mode

you could've used the "show all folders" in the explorer navigation pane

No one deserves the fate to be stuck with windows 11
I try the Utilman trick sometimes, and I usually finish the business from the Open dialogue in Notepad.
