Awesome demonstration! I use a protein shake and a couple of teaspoons of sugar free pudding mix. Makes it so creamy. And it’s all protein. ❤❤ Only takes 15 min to get thick like soft serve.

I bought this ice cream maker and love it! You need to freeze it for a couple of days. You also not only need to cook your ingredients and cool them but refrigerator them so that they are cold. I didn't make ice cream but made 3 batches of frozen yogurt in a row without a problem. I could have made a fourth batch but only 3 of us here to eat it😅!

Hi Mrstgger747! My mother really liked this little machine, so I gifted it to her. I was not too big of a fan. Although it did eventually do what it was supposed to do, it took a longer process. I wish they'd offer an option without using the custard recipe. I like the custard recipe, just not with this small of a machine. But, the ice cream was tasty in the end. I, personally, would have returned it, but my mommy liked it. I hope it worked better for you! Thank you for your comment! Have a lovely day! God bless!

Thank you so much!!!! I thought I did something wrong with my ice cream mixture, but as I see it the problem is the machine. I'm returning my machine. Not a fan of this machine, the bowl doesn't stay frozen long enough to really thicken up the ice cream. 🤦 Awesome video.

Hi Angie! You are so welcome! No, this machine was very difficult. Too many other brands that works way better on the market. Good morning Char, Josh and Mama Mary! Fun! Fun! Fun begins! I don’t have this model ice cream maker but I do have the cuisinart and my experience is to try freezing anything. I have taken Coke Regular not sugar free as I’m not familiar with artificial sweeteners) and that freezes to a slushy consistency. You can freeze cups of your favorite yogurt as well. As far as recipes they abound on internet. Freeze your smoothies as well…it works and is lovely. You might not get a hard freeze or want that so just have some fun! May God bless you and your family.

I bought mine this morning! Which is silly because I have MORE than one Cuisinart ice cream machine! I bought one with an extra bowl, then I found one at a thrift shop MISSING the bowl for $5! And I have an electric one that requires the ice and salt. I just wanted this one because it was only $19 and sometimes I want a soft serve bowl of ice cream RIGHT now! :)
I don't want to go to the trouble to make a bigger batch or I want strawberry ice cream one day and another flavor the next. I only used the egg recipe with my Cuisinart ONE time. After that, we found the recipe I'm sharing below. What I'm going to do is mix this up in a big Tupperware bowl and leave in the refrigerator because it will last long enough for me to make a little batch frequently. And, if I don't like this little machine, I'll finish the rest in the
    Cuisinart!
    Eagle Brand Vanilla Ice Cream
4 cups half and half (can substitute some of the half and half with whipping cream)
one 14 ounce can of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract (I will probably leave this out because I don't put the vanilla in if I'm going to make swirl ice cream with strawberry, raspberry or other fruit preserves. I'd just mix 1 teaspoon in one cut of the mixture just before putting in this tiny machine)
Mix everything together and chill well. Use a whisk and mix it up good just before you put some in an ice cream maker. My Cuisinart is too small for the whole thing so I just divide it in half and pour half in each machine.
Now my favorite thing to is make peanut butter ice cream and pour chocolate fudge over it! YUM!
I guess it will be tomorrow before I can try it out!

    • @JourneywithChar

Hi Angela! Wow, you are a jewel! Thank you so much for this recipe! You are too kind! I will definitely be trying this. LOL, like you, I have several ice cream machines, too! I love my Cuisinart the best, been with me forever and still kicking. I purchased this one for the purpose of when I wanted a small batch too, but the recipe was just annoying. And the fact that they did not include a recipe booklet was frustrating. So I gave it to my mother. But we will definitely be using this recipe as a base and she can just create her flavors.
I know she will definitely want to make the peanut butter ice cream. We just visited my 100 yr old grandmother and she had us try peanut butter ice cream for the first time and we love it! It was amazing, so we will be trying that for sure.
Again, thank you so much for the recipe and for watching! Have a beautiful day, GOD bless!

Hi Georgia! This is what I was frustrated about in the video, there is no recipe book that comes with this. There is a QR Code square on the front of the box. They want you to scan the QR CODE with your phone and then the recipes come from there. I think it is one of the most annoying ideas I have ever heard of. I like a book in my hand, I'm old fashioned that way. So sorry that the company did this, but no book comes with it, you have to scan that black and white square with your phone to get them. Hello! No you do not, however, I did this video off of the ice cream recipe DASH gave for this particular machine to test it out. I NEVER use egg with my Cuisinart or my Pioneer Woman Ice cream machine, ever. This was their recipe, which I was not a fan of the process or the fact that they used an egg. But I wanted to test it out for viewers who had requested. I also am very aware that it was a custard mix. If you look at ALL my other ice cream videos on this channel, none are made with an egg or custard form, ever. Thanks for watching.

I was not too crazy about this particular machine. But my mother loves it. After I make my ice cream, I always place it in the freezer to give it time to set. Then it is at the perfect texture I want. So it depends, if you eat it right away, it could melt faster. Give it some time to chill and it will last longer and become firmer. Hope this helps. Have a good day! GOD bless!
