My 2 cents : don’t undo the lower shock bolts unless absolutely necessary. I was able to snake my axle out while leaving the shock bolts in. My shock bolts look absolutely dreadful; I anticipate them breaking upon removal , but that’s a job for another day.
Great video, your talk as you walk through the process was, well I'd have to say the best I've heard out if everyone of the videos I've watched on here great tutorial. Thanks for your help
When I trun sharp right while 4x4 on, I heard strange cranky sound from right front wheel looks like sleeping from Axel gear. Can you suggest me what it is please. Hope fully it going to help me alot with my 2012 FORD RANGER front axle shaft replacement if my guess is correct.
Is it possible to leave the axle in the hub assembly when lowering that steering knuckle off the ball joint shaft? I was wanting to pop the axle out of the differential and remove it while still attached to the knuckle and hub.
How come nobody ever mentions the bearing inside the differential that the axel will sit in? Is this something that just doesn't usually go bad or would it be a huge pain in the a to replace?
Can you do this without removing the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle? if not, would you have to get an alignment after this procedure? thank you.
hi i bought this exact part for my truck but it doesnt come with the spiral locking clip which holds the cv shaft in place and stabilizes the 4 wheel hub, where can i get the spiral locking clip to buy?
We're you ever able to get your CV tight and not clicking? I have the same 4x4 vacuum hub and could never get the new cv axle tight. You can get a new spiral clip on amazon
Boskuu saya mau nanya saya punya renjer tahun 2010 tiap saya masukin 4x4 jalan nanya dikit aja punyi ctek""" tapi kalau jalan lurus gak punyi gituu apanya kira"" bosku ???
Thanks for the video. I’m doing the passenger side (uk) and cannot get the axle out from the transfer case. It’s even more difficult to get to it - does it simply knock out with the pry bar like the video Has anyone done this on the other side? I cannot find a video anywhere!
Hey, just done this and my abs light is now illuminated, took it for a drive to see if it would clear but it hasn't. Typical, when I removed the sensor, it was plastered in rust. Now it's clean, it's refusing to work 😂
what kind of Ford Ranger is that because I have a Ford Ranger and it doesn't have those parts, I BELIEVE you got confused in the title of your video.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

This was the cleanest and direct video for this procedure I have seen and included all toque specs
Great work. Magical at the end I noticed you did your shocks, rotor and brake caliper housing replaced! All at once . Night five

Well done. I love that this video has torque specs. That's not common enough for repair videos. Thanks for the help!
do you have any videos on removing the front diff cover thanks.

Why are you not mentioning bolt sizes. Feels like a rushed instructional
I have a 99 Ford ranger in it only has a plastic snap ring that holds the axle into the hub

Dont need an alignment as the tie rod is going back in the same spot on the knuckle
I managed to get my bad one out but had to turn the wheels and try from different angles. The new one went in really easy however.
when I do this, I put an alignment mark on the parts to put them back in position
Boa tarde tenho uma ranger ano 2000 distema roda livre gostatia de saber se há pocibilidade de ser subistituido por homoconetica fixa
What is the nut size for the CV joint?
Thanks for sharing. Good job.

best damn video I have seen on u-tube
My manual says 182 ft lbs for the axle nut.
Thanks for the video.

good video and instruction but could you have found a more rusted truck!!

Replace that lower control arm while you're at it

If your Ranger isn’t 4x4 it wouldn’t have CV axles as you don’t need to power the front wheels.
Dude I need the passenger side 😭
Currently doing the passenger side - I’ll update you when I get it out! 😉
Give it a couple loving bonks
99 ford ranger 4x4 do not have a outer nut !!!!
Does not just tap in like that with a rubber mallet! Some BS!!!
Sell it and buy a real truck
