Robert, My interest in Tesla’s began about 1 1/2 years ago after being exposed to my son’s Model S that he purchased a few years ago. Went to the “local” Tesla selling point about 40 miles away, drove & liked a model 3. Went back to purchase it but changed to a model Y long range instead. Since I am 75 years old, the higher sitting height of the Model Y is much more comfortable and easier to get in & out of for these old bones. After stumbling on your UA-cam site, I have found a great deal of pretty level headed and practical advice. While I learned about the upcoming changes to the model Y (Juniper?), it really didn’t make much sense to me to wait for that model since the current Model Y is the most luxurious and technically advanced motor vehicle I have ever owned. I also expect it to be the last vehicle I purchase since I just passed my 75th birthday. Thank you for taking the time to provide your helpful and informative videos. Please keep up the good work. David H. Deitrick
I see your points but I think this financing deal caused a lot of people (including myself) to order now. Paying between 1-4k in interest is a great deal that you most likely wont see on the refresh for a very long time. If anything they will probably increase the cost due to the enhancements. Also where its nice to get the new features of Juniper having the latest version that Tesla has been able to fix the issues on is great. New version will have new parts and new manufacturing that may have issues that need to be ironed out during the next few years. I see that there are several advantages to buying in the past month or if they offer more deals. If you don't need or want a new vehicle right now I think waiting is fine I just don't think buying now is a bad option either. They both have merit. I was also concerned that the Federal tax credit may change or be lowered next year which would make it less enticing compared to other options.
The refresh will not be significant difference. He has multiple Tesla and trashing them. End of the day Tesla is ahead of the competition and is a smarter buy than majority of gas vehicles with there mark up price.
His point are valid for non current users and as new players up their game Tesla will need to continue advancing their offerings as well. I like the model Y technology but was not so impressed with the still handling. Just my opinion.
Most people are going to skip the 2024 Model Y, I certainly will. Tesla should do likewise and just concentrate their efforts on bringing the Juniper edition in 2024. In the interim drop the price of the 2024 Model Y by 7k to 10k just to get rid of existing inventory. The price conscious folks will bite on that discount, everyone else will get the Juniper. Win win.
Absolutely. It seems the smart money is skipping the '24 model. Those buying now are likely driven by impulse, necessity, or because it's their best chance to afford one.
@@Lendingyourlight I was speaking generally, not listing all possible reasons, but it sounds like you're buying a car out of necessity with a better value. Regarding the Cybertruck, the stainless steel body is a hard pass for our family because of the significant safety concerns. In an accident, the rigidity of stainless steel would transfer more force to the occupants inside the car, as the car is less able to absorb and dissipate energy compared to materials designed with crumple zones. It's a battering ram on wheels; so along with the risk of injuring others, more force will be felt inside the vehicle (2 adverse results). Also, the stainless steel is manufactured from a roll, so over time the frame is going to naturally curl a little over time, creating gaps in the frame. My intention isn't to talk you out of the purchase, but before moving forward, it's worth looking into the safety issues. But if it's the right choice for you, that's great.

Suspension, suspension suspension!!! Good grief, the suspension in the model Y is just ridiculous. One shouldn't have to resort to changing the dampers, but that's the only thing to do to make this thing even approach pleasant to ride in. It feels cheap and nasty. You mention suspension improvement & I couldn't agree more! Ventilated seats sounds like a good idea too, but for goodness sake, Tesla, do something to give the next generation model Y a comfortable ride, please.
Model Y has been giving me ear and sinus discomfort for 3 years. The smallest road cracks and tar-snakes cause the suspension to make pounding pressure in my ears ! These are road imperfections that are not even noticeable in other cars. Fix it ! Otherwise, love the car .
Might want to check for mold. Saw a reel about a lady who was constantly sick until she sold her Tesla and it ended up being a mold issue due to a leak when it rains
I do want to get a model Y someday like maybe 23 years from now I do love the car. I got my model three I love it, but Tesla does have one problem and all cars look similar somewhat the same and if they could fix that and still keep their aerodynamics, that would be great
Seems that Tesla created the Osborn effect for the Y. They should have rolled out the updated 3 and Y at the same time. Having said that, I think there is a huge opportunity for the Y to offer a couple of differentiated versions. One would be an off road oriented variant, and the other would be a more sporting variant. Seems that Tesla is not differentiating their offerings adequately, but when they do, they sell plenty. Cybertruck is selling well, as is the 2024 Model 3 Performance. In both cases these are targeted products rather than generic ones. Also couldn't hurt for Elon Musk to shut the fxxx up on X. Kinda doesn't make sense to go out of your way to alienate your most ardent supporters. Musk's focus on pricing alone only results in lower margins.

It is crazy how many of these videos I see… talking about what Tesla is doing wrong and why they can’t sell cars. While they are selling more cars than any other car company in the world. People also talk about resale value but the reality is, all cars have shit resale value if you buy it new. My last car was an Acura MDX, I sold it 4 years after I bought it and lost $42k (almost the full purchase price of a model y) I bet my model y won’t lose $42k in 4 years. Then the refresh, everyone saying it needs to come out now because Tesla is to slow at refreshing cars and they are stale. But Tesla improves the cars all the time and most car companies only do refreshes every 8-10 years. So again, Tesla is doing more and selling more than any other car companies yet you all complain about it.

Cars in general should never be bought for investment purposes. Use it till it’s worn out don’t worry about its value. ESPECIALLY an EV the more miles you get on it the more value you got out of it. I’ve had my M3P less than two years and already have 66k on it. I got it b4 the price drop but that’s ok bc I’m gonna get at least 200k on it before I get rid of it so I’ll get my money’s worth. Additionally, AAA just released a huge survey of their members, and BEVs are in the toilet...
@@noleftturns wrong. Model y is currently number 5 worldwide behind 3 pickup trucks and the rav4. It is by far the highest sold EV.
@@camreed6832 I asked AI (Copilot) this question:
Q: list the top 10 selling car models for the world
AI:
Certainly! Here are the top 10 best-selling car models globally in 2024 (so far):
1) Ford Puma: This compact SUV has been leading the pack.
2) Nissan Sentra: The small Sentra is having a fantastic sales year.
3) Honda Accord: Despite a slight dip in sales, the eleventh-generation Accord remains popular.
4) Tesla Model 3: The least-expensive Tesla sedan continues to sell well.
5) Hyundai Tucson: The only South Korean vehicle in the top 20.
6) Toyota Corolla: A perennial favorite, the Corolla maintains strong sales.
7) Volkswagen Golf: This European hatchback remains popular worldwide.
8) Chevrolet Silverado: The full-size pickup truck is a hit in North America.
9) Ford F-Series: Another North American favorite, the F-Series trucks continue to sell well.
10) Honda Civic: The compact Civic rounds out the top 10.
My mistake the Model Y is not in the top 10, the Model 3 is #4.
The big problem with the new model y refresh is the high price and high % apr
FUD obviously - like when they slowed down the line to make the model 3 highland, they’re doing the same now for the model y highland! So stop the FUD
I live in Canada 🇨🇦 and must if not all of your comments are tailored to or friends south of the border? Is there anyway you might consider adding some information on Canadian cars. An example is that the tax credit isn’t the same as in the USA. CDN pricing and if all these promotions Tesla is running does it apply to Canada 🇨🇦. Thanks enjoy your channel.
Ventilated seats sounds like a good idea too, but for goodness sake, Tesla, do something to give the next generation model Y a comfortable ride, please.
get to point, interest rate will not drop , plus electric card is for urban not rural areas
No car is selling right now with these high interest rates and crazy payments
Model Y has been giving me ear and sinus discomfort for 3 years. The smallest road cracks and tar-snakes cause the suspension to make pounding pressure in my ears !
These are road imperfections that are not even noticeable in other cars.
Fix it !
Otherwise, love the car .
Might want to check for mold. Saw a reel about a lady who was constantly sick until she sold her Tesla and it ended up being a mold issue due to a leak when it rains
would loke to see head up display as dont like looking to the side
all the time .............
Shorting Tesla today for $$$🎉
I do want to get a model Y someday like maybe 23 years from now I do love the car. I got my model three I love it, but Tesla does have one problem and all cars look similar somewhat the same and if they could fix that and still keep their aerodynamics, that would be great
Juniper is coming to china in next 30 days, after that rollout worldwide
Tesla's biggest sales problem = Elon.
I’m waiting for a Juniper.
Same because this will be my first Tesla and I hate those big headlights
Sir are you aware about the interest rate
HALO III is the name of my current M3… if Tesla would offer that chance to transfer my FSD to a new MY, I’d pull the trigger in a second!
My Model 3 LR is named Buzz Lightyear and Model Y LR is named Frozen.
The MY looks old, dry and drab…bro what?? I have a 23 MYP and even with all the Y’s on the road in my city, my car still turns heads (and all I have are mud-flaps and blacked out exterior accents added.) People love Tesla (or they hate because they can’t afford one) but people are trying to save every penny now with what’s going on the world. The last thing people are thinking about now is buying a car when groceries are 2x higher than they were two years ago.
I hate Tesla but I have a 100k car. Does that mean I can’t afford a 50k Tesla?
My Model Y is called Black Beauty.
I'm an advocate for having a diverse investment strategy. I grew to a 7 figure mark with my portfolio having exposure to different areas of the market, including small and large-caps of the ETF index, blue chip stocks, coins, grade bonds and alternatives like cryptocurrency markets, as this helps manage the overall risk on my portfolio managed by my FA.. Credits to my adviser, Jeffrey, i have no doubt investing more
I was big on gold and silver but a few months ago I discovered Bitcoin and Ethereum. Listening to lots of stuff from Jeffrey has been really helpful in my journey..
Bitcoin's role as a store of value and its potential for future growth make it an attractive investment option. BTC trading can be a thrilling way to participate in this digital asset's journey.

I'm surprised that this name being mentioned here, I stumbled upon one of her client testimony CNBC news last week
History shows that when I a vehicle has a refresh, it takes a few years to work out the bugs.
Lot of jibber - I think it’s just vacant fill to keep you watching. He has no real feedback beyond some features from Model 3 should be brought over to Model Y
My 2 year old Tesla Model Y Long Range has lost 2/3 of it's value in 2 years.
and it has just 12,000 miles on it
Why someone would buy one is beyond me...
Start driving your MY into the ground and you’ll come out ahead in value
@@Slider_84 I can buy the same exact Model Y now for $25,000 less than what I paid for mine.
elon is screwing EVERY Tesla owner with his endless firesales
it's killed the resale market
and part of owning a car is selling that car at some point
name one other car in American car history where the manufacturer
offers the same exact car 2 years later for $25,000 less
name one....
@@noleftturns and my point is if you are worried about the resale market you’ll never be happy. Get your 200k out of it and you’ll get your moneys worth out of it from the savings on gas. Treat it like a Honda commuter or geo metro and sell it for a couple thousand after you’ve wrung it out. I think consumers have gotten too used to getting rid of perfectly good cars bc it’s 5 years old and counting on using that money from selling it to pay a big chunk on the next one.
My neighbor purchased a 2022 Mercedes EQS 2 years ago for 125k. You can find that same car on the resale market for 46k. Do we blame Elon?
@@Slider_84 A car is not an investment - everyone knows that.
but when the manufacturer has killed the resale value of your car - on purpose
you can't just ignore that
and my advice to folks is to wait 5 years and see if electric cars even make it
I bet they become a small niche market
with gasoline accounting for 80% of the market and the resale market
To Make Model Y Compatible Again. Tesla Should Surprise Us With A Model Y Juniper With Falcon Wings Doors Like The Model X. If This Happens. The Tesla Model Y Will Definitely Become Again The Number One Vehicle And Or SUV In The World. I Will Bet You On This At Any Time. Tesla Should At Least Try See What Happens With Pre-Orders. Also Add Midnight Cherry Red To Other Model Y Color Selection.
how dare Tesla try to sell more vehicles, what kind of stupid strategy is that. lol
That was a really long way of saying Osborne effect
Naming for our Red multi-coat MY: 'Tesla Rossa'
great video, makes perfect sense!

My model 3 is Pegasus 😊
My Tesla name is Maverick
lol what the fuck are you talking about? I love my Model Y.
They already got rid of EAP
Dude, you need to chill and not bite the hand that feeds you. Man up bro.
Did you watch the video? How many times do I have to say that I love Tesla?
4 minutes in and still not got to the point
Where did you get the Sales numbers? You are só wrong …
What sales numbers? The ones Tesla directly reported?
Could you elaborate…how was he “wrong”?
@@mrkymrk99 They can't because I'm not wrong. Sales numbers are reported directly from Tesla.
My model y is called Bluelighting.
Man you milk these Tesla videos.
My Model 3 name is Black Stallion.
But that no stalk thing
You are always so megative on Tesla
Car’s name is Montserrat Model 3 😅
I named my Cybertruck Tilikum
👎 We own a few shares and a model Yp (with zero issues) and I really wish Tesla would hold their cards a little closer to the chest when it comes to announcing new models in advance. The new Y is different because the 3 and the Y are on the same platform.
Saying that, this content was useless and mindless. 👎. I am not subscribed.
My car’s name is Electra!
My car is Techy
Same thing again and again. Stopped watching half way. 😂
Selling 40 a day in CLT
Boat anchors that look more dated every day.
ur car insurance will go up if u buy an EV
Why do these channels just keep talking and paraphrasing and bating and edging the point they’re trying to get to. Say your point already damn
Mines called Dreamliner
💯💯💯 good job
The Volkswagen ID4 has vented seats. I’ll opt for the ventilated seats over a cheaper Model Y. Agree on the mobile charging cable.
I like your channel but please get to the point
Things I think it's BS that Tesla charges extra for standard charge cable and their standard colors black, white, grey, blue, and red. That's one of the I am not buying right now and holding back to see what's better later this year or next year.
Its not the price it the lack of quality control, YOU HAVE TO FREQIN QA YOUR OWN CAR AT TIME OF DELIVERY, ITS FIRST AND ONLY QA CHECK. GEEZ AND ITS THE BAD SUSPENSION.
Don't quit your day job. lol
UA-cam is my day job lol
dumb !!its perfect and the best selling car of any type on the planet
God damn it, get to the damn point. This is exactly why unsubscribed…
You do a lot of blah, blah, blah without numbers and hard facts, just internet fluff.
Dude get to the point! OMG yeah we get you want views but I was going to turn because you repeated yourself too much and not GETTING TO THE POINT!!!!
White night
The car is just too ugly.. and too old..
