I am one of the people who write in my blog, often about DD. I also write about daily life, because DD isn’t the biggest part of my life. It’s A part. I love that y’all have began this podcast! I’ve considered doing one, but hadn’t done it. I stumbled across this, and it’s perfect. The thing I can’t stress enough is COMMUNICATION. Adam and I constantly talk about things. We have to be open and brutally honest. We shouldn’t be so afraid to be vulnerable with one another, but I understand it can be scary to do. As time goes on, allowing ourselves to completely let down our guard has become much easier. It’s such an amazing thing to be able to relax and feel safe with this person you promised to share your life with. ❤️

Thanks for the great feedback, communication is a vital component of any relationship but especially a DD relationship. I’m glad you’re enjoying the podcast.

What is your blog called? I've been having a hard time finding good sources for DD. I really feel it will help me in my marriage. ❤

I would love to read your blog! I have a stable, loving relationship, but my man goes about expressing "authority" in ways that don't feel authentic to me, my man doesn't want to "hurt" me (and doesn't see the value/help in a little short term discomfort), and I have some traits that are problematic, both to myself and my relationship, that I manage to change short term, but for lasting change I feel I really need a real deterrent to repeating those ingrained behaviors. I would appreciate resources that are approachable to the reluctant man, or the man who fears hurting his woman.

@@MyBelgianAzzy SAME. I have problematic behaviors that I desperately need to change and I've asked my King to help me with them. He's starting with verbal correction and it definitely helps me to stay in my lane, but I am hoping he'll get to the physical part some day to realllllllllllllly get me to have better behaviors.

My lovely bride and I are 30+ years into our marriage, built in part on these principles. What a blessing it would have been back then to have a resource like this. Well done, both of you. Are you connected to Twitter? If not, you may wish to be. Some good discussions happen there on these topics.

Most women ask for DD relationships, but spankings need to be hard to be effective. Men initially are afraid, but eventually find a good balance. Maintenance spankings are a must to maintain order and work as a reminder of the consequences.

Very good points! It can certainly take time to get into a good system but that effort is well worth the positive effect DD can have on your relationship.

Sneaking and going against your husband’s wishes because he won’t find out shows a lack of genuine submission and respect.

Yes, I completely agree. If I lie about something, the whole concept goes out the window. And I have lied before, but I’ve always had a guilty conscience and ended up telling him later.

How do I prepare myself this lifestyle?

    • @thedisciplinedlifepodcast

The best thing you can do to prepare yourself is to learn as much as you can. Educating yourself and knowing exactly what you want and need is really the first step.
