Fascinating. Long ago, I used to underestimate the attention to detail in the aesthetics of a work environment, but I changed my mind as I had to adapt to the work from home modality after the pandemic. Having to take care of those kind of things made me understand that the inspiration and the general feeling that the workspace can transmit is almost always related to daily productivity. I started by changing my old desk for a Protractor desk that I got from Barcelona designs, I added some plants and even changed my keyboard. I still have to change a few more things, but little by little I'll transform my home office into the dream environment that I've always wanted. Thank you for sharing this.
Fun embarassing fact: back in college while online, my exam was proctored and I was asked to show ID, verify some info. This woman asked for me to do a 360 view and my house, area I was taking the exam at, space was super messy and she saw it all 😂 so yes a clean safe, comfortable space is needed.
I have ordered a second monitor to add to my Mac setup because I could really use with the extra estate while editing and sorting through vid and audio files ... So excited .. my setup is the most expensive thing I own but with no regrets 💯🔥
a dock station like cal digit is not meant to supply a laptop for a lack of ports, that would be the goal of a hub, not a dock. A Docking Station or Dock has the goal to keep all your desk setup connected to a point so you can then just connect/disconnect the laptop fast, by plugging/unplugging just one or two cables, that is why it has all the ports on the back for stuff like HDMI, Ethernet, power on the back and data ports on the front for quick access. goals: dock: quick connect for desktop setup hub: add ports to a laptop/tablet/smartphone on the go. obviously, if you are on a tight budget then you can use the hub as a dock.
I was able to program the gesture button on my MX Master to match all of the Apple Trackpad gestures that I use frequently and ditched the trackpad completely!
If you'd read the manual of HS's studio monitors - they're not made to lay down horizontal on your desk, I'd rather avoid this mistake to not mess up the speakers, placed mine on Kanto stands.
although it looks cool, Im pretty sure these Yamaha speakers aren't mean to be in a horizontal position (I have the same pair), it causes comb filtering.
Question about the 2 keyboards... does one work with one monitor and the other with a second monitor, or do they both work with each monitor? I am getting tired of using my MacBook Pro keyboard for both monitors. I need a wireless keyboard or two.
This is that kid kyle that use to come into my LAN cafe and use my computers with Cheeto fingers. Love the set up tho bro! I’ve been debating about upgrading my Mac.
Great info! Can you be more specific about the monitor connection directly to you MacBook? What port do you use and what is the cable type from the MacBook to the monitor? I have been trying to connect my second monitor for far too long. Thanks!
Great video. How do you have the tops of your monitors so high. I recently purchased a 32" monitor and I am struggling to find a setup that works for me since the top of the monitor is so high and my neck is bent upward. Any advise.
This is that kid kyle he stole my squash racquet back in ‘08 at the athletic club. Nice desk set up though. I’m going to look into getting a wooden top like that.
Thank you for getting a professional chair! Herman Miller or Steelcase should be the main 2 brands - im so tired of seeing youtubers promote “gaming chairs” to gamers and other youtubers who spend a majority of their tine in a chair. They need appropriate ergonomic support.
Great Question! Ultrawide gives more screen real estate when working with a single program. Which would be great for editing as well. Dual Monitors help with multitasking and organizing multiple programs and other windows open. - Kyle
Question of the day What's the favorite part of your desk setup? Let us know!

really nice set-up but unfortunately so many of links in the description did not work.
Felt desk pad. Time to upgrade from a pathetic mouse pad.

They should’ve told you beforehand though. 😂
That was soo soothing
Thanks :) We thought so too!
Wow. This is the greatest desk setup I’ve ever seen!

where can i find this wallpaper that you used in your monitor ??
great setup
I came here to see what kind of monitor stand you used and that’s the only thing not covered!
If you'd read the manual of HS's studio monitors - they're not made to lay down horizontal on your desk, I'd rather avoid this mistake to not mess up the speakers, placed mine on Kanto stands.
Yeah, I'm nowhere near that being able to get any those just yet. Good to take note of for now though.

Wow! That chair is EXPENSIVE but looks awesome!😅
although it looks cool, Im pretty sure these Yamaha speakers aren't mean to be in a horizontal position (I have the same pair), it causes comb filtering.
You are correct - but it was the best position for me since I don't have space on my desk and it's not like I'm mastering music.
Please where's your wallpaper from?
Question about the 2 keyboards... does one work with one monitor and the other with a second monitor, or do they both work with each monitor? I am getting tired of using my MacBook Pro keyboard for both monitors. I need a wireless keyboard or two.

How do you feel about having a computer monitor bezel in the middle of your field of view?
It's called life is beautiful smile 😄☝️🌈💯 I'm so excited
I thought the M1 didn’t support dual monitors! Does this work because of the Caldigit?
Where’d you get your screensavers?
Comes with Mac OS - currently using Monterey
This is that kid kyle that use to come into my LAN cafe and use my computers with Cheeto fingers. Love the set up tho bro! I’ve been debating about upgrading my Mac.

Correct!
What monitor arms are you using?

Anyone who uses a magic mouse gets eagle claw cramps. Finally someone who admits to it and found something better.
This is that kid kyle he stole my squash racquet back in ‘08 at the athletic club. Nice desk set up though. I’m going to look into getting a wooden top like that.
That was my racquet and you know it! I'll make it for you.

I haven't seen this question in the comments yet, but dual screen vs ultrawide?
Great Question! Ultrawide gives more screen real estate when working with a single program. Which would be great for editing as well. Dual Monitors help with multitasking and organizing multiple programs and other windows open. - Kyle
What type of speaker holders are you using for the Yamaha's?
They are from Audioengine
