@@MannyAntipov The driving position is central to the cab. Unless companies intend to employ giraffes there is no need. There is even less need to look back considering there’s so little slam door stock now. And I speak as a serving driver. But carry on by all means!
Why are these so noisy? Like the Stadler units on the line to Cambridge (though they are way better than anything Alstom Siemens or CAF produce to be fair)
A nice locos but so tragic that in Britain the only thing produced is capitalist bean counters. Britain would be flat out producing a box of matches now. English Electric, Brush and sad that the North British company closed around 1960. Jobs for Brits lost forever
I started to like some modern traction units when they brought out the Class 59s and 66 ( same model different engine ) especially with all the various liveries. But as far as I’m concerned Valencia can keep the new Stadler Class 93, it sounds and looks revolting.

I think the Class 93 looks very smart and I like that shade of green. It sounds quite mighty as well! A nice addition to the UK main line.
