Any man that does this type of work sees how those ropes just keep getting in the way..... and nearly trips them up . It fascinates me the difference in other countries. It must be a warm location with the thickness of the insulation in that roof which would be around 80mm here. It must be a very high-performance board for that thickness. Also, any kerbs where I'm from need a min of 25mm insulation as there's nothing preventing cold bridging and that 45-degree edge also made from insulation as opposed to that piece of timber to prevent the same thing. And any flat roof lights require a 3-degree pitch.

Who did the load calcs for the skylight? No permit or engineer, just hack out 3 joists and head them off? Really.

Permit? For a window? Only time I have ever heard of needing a permit for a window is on a second story that overlooks a neighbors yard

@@someone321 - I've seen a few where he's clearly not well from some illness, assuming those episodes are from last year or 2017 where TOH was transitioning of the female landscaper on TOH. He was doing more of the I guess supervising, not much work.

@super extreme David Piacenza - The only Women that don't belong on construction jobsites are those who's ...
Pregnant or bring their children to get in the way
Bimbos - the men won't do the job(s) right, because all their logic & skills will go straight to their *_"stiff members."_*
      Not trying to get dirty
Afraid to sweat their *_"fake-up"_* off and/or break a sweat
      Construction *_"illiterate"_*
      Slow learners
Scared to chip a manicured & polished fingernail
The rest of Us Women who do construction work will do just fine of being part of the construction team.
