Thanks for the comment and I am glad the video was helpful. The temporary fix had to last a bit longer than I expected because it took a couple of months to get the new wing mirror housing. The reflective surface settled after a few days and it was much flatter then shown in the video.
Unfortunately this fix is only really suitable if it is only your glass that is broken. I think if the entire wing mirror casing is smashed then I think the only solution is to buy a complete new wing mirror unit.

is there a way to do this without having the inside structure to place it onto? my mirror is completely smashed so not sure if it could be fixed
with this method
