My favorite part of these animations is how much personality there is for the 3 Agents and how consistent they are across the animations. They all act like siblings and it’s so cute! 3 is the eldest and most responsible as she’s been at this a lot longer. 4 is the chaos child who’s all energy and hyperactivity without really thinking. And 8 is the innocent baby who’s just happy to be with good friends and enjoying everything around her. And all without a single piece of legible dialogue. Great work.
I also really like the personalities that the agents show. Although (it is not a complaint, just a thought) I don’t understand why agent 8 is always portrayed like a little child, not only in this shorts but everywhere. I don’t mind it I even think is very cute but… if we compare the “experiences” that each agent had (their respective campaigns), agent 8 should be the most skilled and prepared out of the 3 agents.

The more I watch it, the better it gets. I appreciate all the details you put into each characters movement. The convey of emotions through expression tells several layers of stories really well. The storyboard was even kind to give a variety of creative camera angles
I'd say falling backwards would hurt more than falling forwards, so 3 definitely made the right call but poor 4, I'm sure her friends bought her another meal. :) Wonderful animation as always, I never tire of re-watching these.

while this is good, im sure they want animatics that look like the game, this looks great, but the shading doesn't really match the style of splatoon, plus the fact that they already have people making splatoon animatics in the game engine theyve already built
John’s style is distinct from Splatoon’s animation, which in of itself has it’s unique style. We shouldn’t judge animation as in which looks better or worse, smooth or rougher. Frame and graphic quality are irrelevant when it comes to animation
