Hello!!! I have got a question. Could you give me advices or recommendations to prepare me for competitions or for the competition itself? I am very confused about combinations and setups. Because I am in process of mastering the techniques I want to use in competition and I am asking myself when should I start practising combinations and setups of this techniques.

Really you should speak to your coach about these things, as they'll have a much better understanding of your experience, ability and overall game.
The best advice for your first competition is to just go out there and do your judo, without any expectations that you'll win. And learn from the experience.
When it comes to combinations - it's always good to understand what your main technique is, understand what grip it comes from, and how you can get uke into the position to attack it. Assuming you can execute your main attack, you should work on some basic set ups.

at 2:27 instead of attacking the far leg in a convoluted manner, why not switch directions, left instead of right, and attack the near leg with the same harai goshi, left side?

You mean just attack Uchi-mata directly without the Osoto-gari?

no, switch to a left-side harai goshi

The attack show here is for opposing stances, if you are a right handed player, and decide to change to a left stance because your opponent is left, you playing into their game and giving them advantage. As a general rule, you should always look to work from your stance regardless of what the opponent presents, and have a range of tools to deal with them.

Efficient Judo if you're trying to open a door and it is to your left, do you use your left hand or do you rotate your body so your right side is nearer and then use your right hand? I simply use my left hand since its closer to the door. To borrow your title, isn't this more efficient judo? 😊

To paraphrase Bruce Lee - doors don't fight back - You can of course work everything on both sides to an equal degree, but that doesn't mean you'll gain equal competence, which can be the difference between throwing and getting thrown. What we present here is an option to use a Harai-goshi in opposing stances, based on uke's reaction. If your decision, when presented with an opposite stance opponent, is to switch stance then you have the setups 1 and 2 available to you.
