Thanks for the instruction. Can you tell me how much line/leader is out of the rod tip for this initial training?

Bob, we recommend approximately 20 feet of line plus a 7 1/2 foot leader. Then add about 5 more feet when they become comfortable false casting, and another 3 feet for shooting and stripping in.
