Clive was moving in front of Connie and to the sides trying to block the wind and rain direction coming at her and the kiddos.. Clive isn't afraid of any wind and rain, as we all know the famous ride out during the hurricane. I am sure he was not far from the nest to fly to it but I've seen only one other male Eagle lay next to the female on the nest to protect during a storm but never have I've seen it happen in middle of the night! I've also saw another male bring food and feed the female during torrential rains while she was on the nest but didn't lay on the nest with her. Clive is fearless and determined to protect the nest, Connie, and the babies

This is the worst storm I've seen since last hurricane in Florida 😮😱 What Clive did again coming to the nest to help Connie protect eaglets and being with her close body to body stroke me hard ❤ 🦅😍 I don't think it is only instinct 😊 I believe that eagles somehow think and it is not only imprinted in their genes ❤✨ I am touched very deeply by his behaviour and his some kind of compassion he shows 😢♥️💐 Bless his heart ❤ and whole amazing family 🙏😍 I hope this season for them will be successful and both siblings will fledge some day 🤞🍀💞🤍😇💖 Thank so much dear Lady Hawk for encouraging update 💐🍓💗🍫🐝🤗 Bless your heart too my friend 😘 💮☘️ 🦋💓😅

Clive was a hero through this storm! I was watching the wider side cam too and you could really see how the nest tree was rocking with the strong winds, you can see Clive clinging to the nest several times as he's getting blow around!! Connie was hunkered down and is heavier - both were soaked too!! 🌧💦💧More than once, both Clive and Connie opened the wing "umbrellas" while hovering over the youngsters ☔💕 then morning sets in, the chicks looked warm and dry and ready for 8 more feedings 🐥🐥

Agreed! I think Clive and Shadow might be close in age if Clive showed up in 2021 and had just reached maturity. No way to confirm Clives age but I think it was determined Connick was his first chick based on his behavior. I always hope J and S would build the nest to be big enough for both of them. Jackie likes to brood but Shadow seems to me like the one who likes his personal space-see his reaction to any allopreening attempts from Jackie 😂.
@@Jennifer.Rose24 this is helpful. I wasn't sure how old Clive was, I assumed he was older than Shadow and I know Shadow is still quite young. Jackie robbed the cradle with shadow 🤭😉. But she knew a good one when she found him. They are an adorable eagle couple. I love watching them together.
