    I've been watching your videos. I'm going to be treating myself (AND my family) by buying all the wonderful things I need to begin to grind all my grains and beans (which I'll be buying from you as well).
    I loved seeing your daughter along side of you as well. She has great knowledge and energy as well!!
    You FED the audience!!!! Had my mouth watering!
    In these crazy times, storing beans and grains long term is VERY NECESSARY!

    Shalom? Asante Sane Sue. I started milling my own grains all the way in 🇰🇪 Kenya. In Kenya here we have durum wheat which is hard red. The hard white is not easily absorbed.
    Just the red hard wheat alone has improved me with bloating. So happy. Jesus bless you immensely

    Im rewatching this for the third or forth time since a year ago when i got into milling grain and baking for my family more... and I'm so tickled this time to realize that Sue says at 2:35:57 "we're really more than halfway done with the class, don't worry" and in the time stamp shes only about twenty seconds past the middle point. 😅 Thank you for posting such a wonderful class! I'm in Colorado and wouldnt be able to come to a class in person. But my family is enjoying the benefits of fresh bread!

    I have had a Bosch mixer and a grain mill since the early 80’s. I loved using them to make bread for my family.
    I knew it was healthful (my mother was a healthfood nut from the 60’s, lol - follower of Adell Davis) I had no idea just how important this knowledge was though and what the coming years would bring to our food source. Once my children grew up and out of the house I got out of the habit of making bread.
    Thank you soooo much for the new knowledge you are providing to us. I have revived my bread making for my family because of your inspiration and teachings. (I love the new grain mills - so much quieter! My Bosch is still going strong ;-)
    I am so fortunate to be able to do this for grandchildren now as well and help them develop palates for healthful food. I am surprised just how much my young grandson wants and enjoys my whole grain bread.
    (My children were a bit older when I purchased my first grain mill and Bosch mixer from a wonderful saleswoman teaching a very basic class on how to use them, so I didn’t realize just how young littles like whole grain bread)
    Thank you for reopening and reconfirming my love for grains. For quite a few years now I felt guilty when ate them, as they were considered a bad fattening food. In my ignorance, I unfortunately bought into this, even after being raised with so much opposite wonderful knowledge. I so missed eating whole grains but I really lost my way with all of the bad information being pushed out there these days.
    Your teachings have been monumental in my family’s life.
    You got me started wanting more current information than I had and I love all of your videos and books for this - there is soooo much useful and informative information in them.
    I also read Grain of truth by Stephen Yafa. I could not stop reading. It continues to expound on the information you have been teaching. What an incredible mess we have made to our food chain.
    I still continue to gain inspiration and knowledge from you - thank you!!!
    I purchased an Ank for my daughter from you so the next generation can continue the love of making wholesome delicious food as well. She loves it! I’m a bit jealous but my Bosch is still going strong…lol ❤

    Hi, my Gosh thank you so much for reminding me that bread is from God because we just cut out gluten for my daughter who has high insulin prediabetic so we were going carnivore and shes in culinary in high school and is such a good cook so this was upsetting for her and i tried searching how ppl in the bible made bread and found you!!! Thank God. My question for you is the kitchenaid mixer with a mill attachment and noodle attachments seems so convenient but can you give me your thoughts on the longevity of that machine? Thanks so much for your heartfelt care to teach us this!!! I thank God i found your channel so we can eat gluten again!!! yay :) May God bless you.

      @tonya.vahle80 Рік тому

      well nvm my question you sure are answering everything in this video!!! Ok on the kitchenaid mixer!! thank you. I wanted to add a question tho, do we buy the beans and just mill them into flour or is there a cleaning process to the beans first? Will this bread heal ppl with pre-diabetes? Thanks again!!!

    • @BreadBeckers
      @BreadBeckers  11 місяців тому

      Hello! We're so glad that you found us! The Kitchen Aid attachments are very convenient, indeed; however, it minimizes the longevity of the mixer. It will definitely burn out the motor very quickly. It also does not mill the flour as fine as needed for making the bread soft. In addition, it takes longer to mill the grain with that mixer. This can also be problematic if time is of value. We recommend getting a designated mill for grinding grain. We sell a variety on our website, and I will post the links for them below.
      As far as the carnivore diet, along with any other diet that recommends eliminating a particular food group, please take some time to listen to our podcast, Sue's Healthy Minutes. It can be found for free on our website, and any place where podcasts are played. We also have a "Podcast" playlist here on UA-cam. There are a few episodes where Sue talks about the dangers of eliminating necessary food groups.
      Thanks so much for commenting.

    • @BreadBeckers
      @BreadBeckers  Рік тому +3

      Hi. Great question! Fully baking the grain soon after milling, locks in the nutrition. Once the waffles (or any bread product) is fully cooked, you should be good to freeze them and pull them out as needed. Just make sure that you are only freezing what's been baked. Freezing raw dough will not keep the oxidation process from happening. Thanks for asking.

    Look in the scriptures at how much our ancestors prized and ate bread more than any other food. They would bake lots of bread for traveling. Jesus is the Bread of Life. Bethlehem means "City of Bread." Several times Jesus fed thousands of people by giving thanks to the Father and multiplying a couple of loaves of bread into many. At the last supper He broke the bread and said, "This is my body, eat," For our daily prayer He taught us all to pray, "Give us today, our daily bread," etc., etc.
