Trimming a Vessel using a chuck!

So its inevitable. If you have a shaped pit that has a narrow neck, you will need to trim our pot with a chuck, Here are some tips on avoiding the disaster! Mel from Mud Clay Studio and Mudgirl Pottery hates it too.. but it has to be done!

I had an instructor make a comment about using a "charles" for trimming and while I can't remember the joke exactly, it comes to mind every time I use a chuck 😹 😹
