- Note that I have made 5 times the amount of pieces that you saw in this video over the course of 8 months (1 year for the title). I had a lot of fails and numerous hours of frustration, but in the end it was all worth it. If you have any questions about my art pieces or the process of learning, please do comment below.
Sadly, this will be the end of the ceramics series for the next few months until I get access to a shop again.
If you enjoy the videos, and you feel as though they bring value to you. Please like and SUBSCRIBE! I truly do appreciate it :)
Your ceramic progression was impressive to follow, but what really caught my attention was the confidence you show in your presentation. You have a very promising future! I look forward to watching your artistic vision develop!
Thank you so much for the compliment. I remember staying after class for hours every week to just sit in the studio while a show plays. I’m ready to see where I take my art in the future!
This is a great idea for a video!
Thank you so much! Can’t wait to see what the next year brings.
Your week 1 is me 5 months 😪
The exact dates aren’t perfect but a rough match, it could have possibly been month 1. However, the whole point of ceramics (and this video) is just to create work that was better than your previous piece. It’s not an exact science for sure and some weeks you progress more than others. Just keep working and make sure to take pictures of all your pieces as it will be encouraging and amazing to see your own progress. Sadly I didn’t do that and I can only remember some of the ones I haven’t taken pictures of! Anyways keep it up and thank you for watching!
that was going to be my comment heh :)
you should put things in the photos so we can understand the scale or tell us how tall each item is. thank you
I used to have labels of heights but I lost those. Is there any specific one you have questions about?
Thanks for sharing! You’ve really come a long way with your technique. The learning never ends.
The best are always learning!
Isn't it awesome when something you don't think you're going to like ends up being so rewarding?
It’s super interesting how sometimes you won’t think you’ll like something but you end up really liking it!
That first bowl looks too professional and thin walls and narrow foot to be after one week.
It was probably more like week 3 because I worked on cylinders for a little. It’s more of the idea of progression that this video is based on.
This is a very nice video ^^ I thought it was coming from a larger channel I’m surprised >> imma subscribe keep up the good work !
Probably the best compliment I have received so far! I’m glad my videos are providing value!
beautiful progression and i would argue.. you are very creative!!! 🎉
Thank you! Working to challenge myself.
I’d like to know more about what kind of clay you are using and, especially, what kind of glazes you are using. Are you using an electric kiln or a gas reduction kiln? Beautiful work. Some gorgeous glazing.
I used cone 10 B mix and they were bisque fired in an electric kiln and gas reduces for the final firing. As for the glazes I no longer have access to the brand but I know the final was a shipwreck blue and most of the greens were green tea! Hope that answers your questions.
It's really beautiful your work! keep making it!!!
Thank you so much!
Very nice and where are the recipes glazes, maybe i can find the row material in Chile.
I never had the recipes, just bought premade online in which usually they keep their formulas on the dl.
