Hi Marc good to meet up and fish a week later the fishing is still the same the west coast been unfisherable looking good for this Friday Saturday and Sunday I've had the odd session at timmyfaya and dorada rocks nothink a guy was trying to get boga but again nothink Fingers crossed we can meet up in April/May On the plus side the days have been hot and sunny I've got 2wks to go so hopefully I will get into so biggies
Hi am in Thailand at the moment on koh mak in the gulf of Thailand and its the same here apart from the odd barracuda and the odd Queen fish plenty of small grouper

Hi Marc,, definitely a worrying trend regarding the fish. Were non existent for me apart from a few ornate wrasse and bream in October , even snorkelling they weren’t there, only place we saw them was on the water taxi to puerto calero when they stopped to feed them on the reef. Has to be a reason for the sudden disappearance. Any case , another great vid and well done on the fish you managed to winkle out . Cheers buddy
Hiya buddy...yeah very worry'n to not even see the shoals of tiddlers that are usually all under our feet along the wall also did not see 1 fish in the harbour so the resident heron wasn't there either. Everybody was stuggling on the lure side of things and even glad to catch a lizard fish here and there. Don't know what has caused this sudden disappearance but something is defo not right. I went in the local dive shop and thay had also noticed a marked number of fewer fish. very strange!! anyways lets hope there is something about in May ... take care buddy luv en stuff to all and see you soon .
I had a good October /November only because the west coast was fisherable I don't bother with floated Baits ie prawn squid chicken Even trying to catch boga for live bait
eyup Grant..it is a cracking place to fish out on the west coast but as you well know you gotta have your whits about you , 5 deaths last year I heard , its also very seasonal so trying to figure them out at the moment but sept oct nov seems the time for mahi I think .. will try sliding some live baits next time i'm out there that's if there's any to be caught. Hope your well and love the latest vids , them Roosters are quite something. One day ill get to try for one and a GT is on the list to. 👍😎🏴☠️
@@12volt yes I know what you mean, whits about you, many deaths in Portugal every year. Sometimes the fish just arnt around and can change with conditions overnight! Good luck seems like some good fish come out from there!!
@@joeduggan5194 There is a good mark in playa blanca called the Castillo de San Marcial de Rubicón de Femés its just behind the Big fake Volcano , its a LW mark tbh and relatively safe spot to take kids with an easy way down , stepping on black rock is very slippery so try stay on the yellow rock that covered with small barnicals . Best times to fish are first light and last light for Sierra and Cuda , smaller species will bite all day long so if possible I would take a 10 - 40 gr and maybe a 30-100 gr to cover most bases (Shimano STC's are great travel rods) also a little telescopic roach pole is a great way to catch many species with prawn , squid and uncooked bacon rind being great baits. You are not allowed to fish of beechs unless 200m away from swimmers , neither can you fish from ANY harbour walls( big trouble) but can fish from ALL rocks, and you also need a licence which last for 3 years for about 35 euros ( best get before you go) I will also be on the island from the 3rd to the 13th but up in PDC . Hope this helps out a bit , ATB 👍

your 2 best places to fish in playa blanca are the Castillo de San Marcial...right near the big volcano thing that lights up at night and the Lighthouse but be careful there please. Hope this helps and good luck ATB 👍@@jmr5551000
