Brains (S. A. Brain & Company Ltd) is a regional brewery founded in 1882 in Cardiff, Wales, by Samuel Arthur Brain. The company controls more than 250 pubs in South Wales (particularly in Cardiff), Mid Wales and the West Country. The company took over Crown Buckley Brewery in Llanelli in 1997 and Hancock's Brewery in 1999. Brains moved to the former Hancock's Brewery just south of Cardiff Central railway station in 2000. The Old Brewery, in Cardiff city centre, has been developed into a modern bar and restaurant complex. The company produces a range of beers under the Brains, Buckley's and Hancock's names. As part of their marketing strategy, Brains use shirt sponsorship for the Wales national rugby union team and the Crusaders Rugby Leagueteam. I love your excitement! Like kids in a candy shop!😁
Hi Jean, thanks for that fantastic info on the place, very interesting to see the place is going to be developed into a bar and restaurant complex. Thanks for watching
Hi Ana, I bet it was weird seeing it in that state compared to how clean and tidy I bet it was when you worked there. I actually drove past it the other day and nearly all the buildings have now been knocked down apart from the main building and huge chimney which I think they are keeping to turn in to apartments:) Thanks for watching
Thanks Wayne, its about to be demolished and turned into bars, restaurants and apartments so it was nice to get in and film it before it's gone forever.
Thanks Harri, I'd love to do Winstanley Hall one day as the place looks amazing and is full of history. If I'm ever up that way I will definitely film it.
Hey Saku, I’m not sure why they left so much behind, maybe the machinery was getting old and they wanted newer quicker machinery in their new place? Thanks for watching
Hey Roxane good to hear from you again. I drove past this place the other day and it’s nearly all been knocked down now to make way for restaurants, shops and apartments etc so I’m really glad I got to film it while it was still standing:)

Stare Thank YOU for taking me places I’d never be able to go.
Careful those chimney's look to be clad in asbestos - great video by the way..
It's so sad seeing the brewery in this state. I worked there years ago and have fond memories of the site, really sad to see it in such a state...

Yes a beer and a sauna sounds great, especially when you live in snowy Finland:)
Nice one. Great video and great explore
Yeah these big sites are great to explore, could spend hours in them . . . . . . Oh yeah we did😀
I think that was a Hydrometer rather than a thermometer. Used to determine the specific density of the alcohol in the product

Great video! How come they left all that equipment behind when the brewery moved?

Everything has been removed! You need to get to the offices!
The old light fixtures should be accounted for..... they will be destroyed!
In its day, this brewery would have been a good employer! When it closed..... different story!
Old and disused equipment! What becomes of these items?
I smell the odor of oil, rust, dust and WD-40 here 😄
