It's because Isayama as he said himself ripped of everything from his favorite game: entire plot, a lot of dialogues, characters, events, ideas, even numbers. Timelines were a thing there. Without this game, there would be no Attack on Titan. But he said about sequel of the game, yet he only took everything from the first part. There's more to come, that's why it's so unclear.

They all said that they met eren (after he died)) so this wasn't exclusive to mikasa only, the only thing that was exclusive to her was that he deleted everybody's memories when he met them before he died and returned it to them after he died(so they don't f up his plan), while mikasa was the only one that he didn't delete her memory primarily because he wanted her to be part of the plan (to kill him) and secondary i guess he wanted to not let their last conversation to be cold and harsh in mikasa's memory... Therefore he created this romantic universe where they lived happily, so this was kind of a goodbye and then he told her to forget about him and throw the scarf away = basically asking her to kill him after he believed 100% that there is no future for their relationship after reaching this point of destruction.
I agree with you on most things, I believe the reason she didn’t have her memories erased was because Eren simply couldn’t. Mikasa is of Ackerman descent, who are known for being immune to the founding titan’s ability to alter memories.

The fact they didn’t express their love to each other at Marley didn’t caused the rumbling because Eren knew before that (thanks to his father memories of the futur) that the rumbling would be triggered by himself so it was hopeless anyways. That is not accurate. When Mikasa asks Armin if he remembers too, she specifies “the day Eren came to visit us”. It implies she was visited alongside everyone else. Her memories returned beforehand with what seemed like a headache. Ymir giving her those memories right before she makes a choice makes sense given that the whole point was seeing Mikasa choose.

The lack of oxygen eventually kills it, but for a brief while the brain is still processing stimuli. When people were executed with a guillotine, sometimes their eyes would dart back and forth as their head rolled across the floor. If it was a similar case for Eren, maybe his brain was conscious long enough to process Mikasa's kiss on his lips.

The cabin scene was Eren comforting and calming Mikasa down long enough for her to do her duty and kill him. It sucks what could've been had she called him her most beloved and dear back in Marley. Way to drop the ball, girl. Calling him family when he's been much more than that to you for YEARS. Look at what you could've had for 4 years. Oh well.
The thing is, the rumbling still would have happened, no matter what. From how I understand the Attack Titan’s future sight, Eren can see the results of his actions, but not the actions that lead to those results. Eren said that no matter what he decided to do, the Rumbling still happened.
I can't belive how many of you guys don't actually know what happened so i'll explaint it. Eren did't "show" this to Mikasa. Mikasa is an Ackerman and Oriental Clan mix. They are both imune to founders power. Grandpa of Kenny Ackerman says so in s3. This was Mikasa seeing Alternative reality because of her power. The power is she is able to create alternative universes. That is because Eren made A founding titan Vow when she told her that he will wrap this scarf aroud her now and forever and always in s2 than he made contact with Dina fritz ( Titan of Royal blood). So in evry alternative universe eren dies ( just like the lost girls OVA) and mikasa with her powers crates another one in hopes of being with eren. Eren tried to get rid of the scarf to try to stop mikasa doing this just like tou guys saw in this episode and also in s4 part 2 when the girl mikasa saved in s1 took her scarf. (Eren told her to get rid of it). You can also see another Alternative universe when eren touched zeke and got the memoires of all before him. (Grisha, Frieda, Eren Kruger and his memoies also). There is a sceen which shows Goth Mikasa and Nerd Armin from Attack on titan School Castle. So there you have it. I hope i didjt forget anything.

The difference here is he erased Armin's memory while he couldn't erase Mikasa' memory because she's both Ackerman and Hizuru. So he showed her this memory in real time. But obviously time is different in the paths so it's possible they lived together for 4 years while in the real world it all happened in an instant. You can tell it was in real time because towards the end Eren had the same Markings on his face as he had in real time inside his titan.

The moral of season 4 is to let people who commit genocide earlier live(eldians) kill children, and massacre 80% of humans on the planet. Aot ended at season 3 for me.

The lack of oxygen eventually kills it, but for a brief while the brain is still processing stimuli. The thing is, the rumbling still would have happened, no matter what. From how I understand the Attack Titan’s future sight, Eren can see the results of his actions, but not the actions that lead to those results. Eren said that no matter what he decided to do, the Rumbling still happened.

I can't belive how many of you guys don't actually know what happened so i'll explaint it. Eren did't "show" this to Mikasa. Mikasa is an Ackerman and Oriental Clan mix. They are both imune to founders power. Grandpa of Kenny Ackerman says so in s3. This was Mikasa seeing Alternative reality because of her power. The power is she is able to create alternative universes. That is because Eren made A founding titan Vow when she told her that he will wrap this scarf aroud her now and forever and always in s2 than he made contact with Dina fritz ( Titan of Royal blood). So in evry alternative universe eren dies ( just like the lost girls OVA) and mikasa with her powers crates another one in hopes of being with eren. Eren tried to get rid of the scarf to try to stop mikasa doing this just like tou guys saw in this episode and also in s4 part 2 when the girl mikasa saved in s1 took her scarf. (Eren told her to get rid of it). You can also see another Alternative universe when eren touched zeke and got the memoires of all before him. (Grisha, Frieda, Eren Kruger and his memoies also). There is a sceen which shows Goth Mikasa and Nerd Armin from Attack on titan School Castle. So there you have it. I hope i didjt forget anything.

And it isn't a paths memory because eren died and they're eating and collecting fire wood. You don't need to do that in the paths bc death and hunger and being cold don't exist. If it was a path memory then why not have eren live 60 years with Mikasa? Times passes differently in the paths so 60 years is doable and Mikasa would like that. Not to mention ackerman's memory can't be manipulated they can go into paths but can't be manipulated.

@@sam5919No Eren deliberately made them live together for 4 years and told her in the end to forget him so that she can let go and have the determination to arrive at her choice and kill him. He did this for the both of them. It felt like a dream to Mikasa and thats why she told Armin afterwards that they got their memories back. The difference here is he erased Armin's memory while he couldn't erase Mikasa' memory because she's both Ackerman and Hizuru. So he showed her this memory in real time. But obviously time is different in the paths so it's possible they lived together for 4 years while in the real world it all happened in an instant. You can tell it was in real time because towards the end Eren had the same Markings on his face as he had in real time inside his titan.

Even if he did it so that she could let go and kill him it's still a mess of plotholes and should've been explained but looks like Isayama is planning attack on titan next generation that's why he made the ending this way. A sequel will drop in a couple of years that will explain everything.

This ending is 10x better. Eldia will get what they deserved, but not my Boi eren. The rumbling was the worst wrighting idea ever. I think hisayama was trying to do.... mixed morals? Idk bro. The moral of season 4 is to let people who commit genocide earlier live(eldians) kill children, and massacre 80% of humans on the planet. Aot ended at season 3 for me.

-The founding titan can't erase an Ackerman's memory, but it can still bring people to the path no matter who they are; so basically, Eren talked to Armin and everyone else first in the Path except Mikasa, then erased their memories. After that, during the final battle, Eren brought Mikasa into the path where they lived at the cabin for 4 years, and when Eren decided it's better for Mikasa to move on, he then told Mikasa to get rid of the scarf and probably disclosed his location; That's why Mikasa knew Eren was in the mouth of the Founding
Stfu already its paths. Eren took her to this place so they can be together as a couple bc it was his desire to do so with her.
