Super excited for this one! The fish room is finally underway. Ton of planning went into this and I'm excited to finally have a space that is my own. I'm also looking forward to getting back to keeping aquariums (it's been too long)! Let me know what you think about the fish, crayfish and shrimp I've hoarded over the past 6 months, haha! I'm really heavily considering Endlers for my next tank as I've never kept them before. CPO's are also under heavy consideration as I've heard they get along well with pretty much anything but the smallest of nano fish. The Amano shrimp that I got from you a few months back are doing awesome. They're straight up little gangsters when it comes to feeding time, lol. So much fun to watch! Can't wait to see progress on the fish room! I wish I had more room for tanks but i'm currently severely limited in available space at the moment.
We have a breeding group going now, I'll get them breeding in the next few months :) hopefully I can breed enough to list for sale. We have them on our watchlist to order though!
looks awesome mate :) Ive got about 15 different types of endlers myself and id have more if i had the room :P endlers are so fun to watch and addictive keen to see how your project continues
@@LupDiesel ive got black bar, wild type Eltigre, Santa Maria, Elsilverado, Yellow tiger, blonde tiger, Redline, French Bluestar, Blonde endler, Orchid, Pink/chili, mauve/blue metallic, opal, Goldbar, purple Elsilverado variant. Ive also got some projects in the works like true breeding blue tigers :)
It is super common to only get male guppies from fish suppliers in Singapore. I used to live there and was big into the hobby, when I was younger. I talked with a local breeder (who was one of the few who would sell me males and females,) who told me why 1. They don't want people breeding their own, because it would reduce their customers. A lot of home hobbyists would actually order and ship from other, cheaper places in Asia, like Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. 2. The males are the most colourful and the majority of their buyers are just people who want pretty-looking fish. I heard many people patronizing LFS (little fish shops, which were everywhere, back then, like on every street corner,) comment how they didn't want females filling up space in their aquariums, because the males were the prettiest. And the female would pump out babies, which would never grow. The majority of these fish-keepers didn't know the first thing about water changes or feeding good food, so weren't at the level of growing out baby fish. The breeder even told me that some unscrupulous breeders if they did sell female guppies, would slowly raise the water temperature to the point where the females became sterile (if they didn't outright die!) so that they could sell them without worry that they'd later give them competition, because they wouldn't be able to breed. It also effects the long term survival of the females, so when they shortly died after the owner got them home, they would come back to the fish store for more to replace them. This guppy breeder also told me a lot about how to age my water and how to segregate and groom my young fish, so that the grew to adulthood and were healthy, what foods and how often to feed them, to get the best out of my fish. He also told me a lot about the individual strains, glad that he could find somebody young with an interest. He was retired and spending much of his money renting somewhere to keep and breed his fish and had thought that the hobby had the chance at dying out before he met me. Luckily, the hobby experienced a resurgence in the early 2000s and I afterwards met a lot of great guppy breeders through a local club, a few years later, but it was still clear that the majority of the field in breeding guppies was elsewhere in Asia, as property prices in Singapore are stupid expensive! Most breeders there now dedicate one room in the apartment or house, but can't always afford one whole property to dedicate solely to their hobby and business, unless they do great business. And that means branching out into many different types of fish and other aquarium dwellers. The big aquarium shops usually don't rent, but own family property that they inherited from relatives.

More tanks than an Arabian Oil field!
Those (Cray fish) we call yabbies in Australia 🇦🇺, crayfish tend to be alot bigger imo
Fish keeping logic, oh this room here with all the fish tanks and fish? That's not a fish room
😂

just placed my order on the yellow tiger and snakeskin endlers!
Toot
Hahaha love to see it 😅
Will two male endlers alone be okay?
I believe they'd be fine, but more is always better, and you'll most likely want more once you have some.
Yeah, they should be fine but more is definitely better ;)
@@betterthantelevision agree 100%! I get a group and was hooked!
Love this I think my next purchase will be endlers
