if you live in a mobile home do yourself a favor go to home depot and buy a filter frame kit and install it where the old louver is 20x25x1 and you wont have all that dust in there

Good job! The only part that I am confused is why the filters are in the top side of the A? What about the inside of the coil? That's where is supposed to be the filter not on the top side. The inside side of the A on the evaporator coil should be dirty as well.

Why didn't you clean the coils? And can't really understand what your saying with the music playing over you.
Coils definitely needed a good cleaning with the unit being so filthy. I just moved in a small trailer house, and now sitting outside waiting for my unit to thaw out. I woke up and it was hot in my bedroom and heard noise coming from the unit just about 5 ft from the bedroom doorway. The filters that are in the unit now are not the ones that should be used in it. Doesn't catch the dust, lint etc and now the coils are clogged with wet nasty dirt, dust etc from who knows how long. I know when I dust, the next day everything is dusty once again. Calling the landlord first thing in the morning.
I can't find info on the black filter on the door. What is it called, I don't want to just vacuum mune, I want to change it. Can please someone help? My local Ace had no idea! Can't find online either!
Should my A coil have those wire lint catchers? It doesn't is why I am asking. Got a whole new HVAC in 2018 and those aren't on it.

Just moved into a 1968 mobile home, i doubt, before and after the last woman who lived before us....has every cleaned this.
Air will only push dirt deeper in coil possibly cause air flow issue coil cleaner and spray bottle
I was wondering where do you get your filter size if you don't have the manual anymore?
If you have a filter in it then it should have it written on it. If not measure it or the area it goes in. You might can find a manual online by searching model # and size. Hope that helps.
If the cover it would normally sit in comes off I would bring that with me to the hardware store lol
Got to clean my furnace too, we just bought an older mobile home, with about 20 years worth of buildup.. 😅

From looks of the dry ac. Pan and dirty filters that ac hasn't run in awhile if it did it would freeze up im a 26 yr. Hvac tech when I'm called 4 service always check c if unit works before doing anything they those that will say it was working before u came
Can't you just put a filter behind the vent to prevent all this
We have a similar unit but our fan keep blower non stop we even shut it off Manuel and still blows when we turn on it doesn’t shut off when ac shuts off what might be the problem?
Sounds like you had the fan switched from “auto” to “on”

What can I spray on my A coil to clean? It is filthy, no HVAC guys will clean for less than $500.
WD40
Do NOT use WD40 on coils; wd40 is a lubricant and smells like a tool.
After you wipe and vacuum the area and coils, then rinse. You can buy spray coil cleaner, mix water and vinegar or just plain water from your water hose.
OMG! Disregard the WD-40 comment. Use a can of Evaporator Cleaner and brush before putting the cleaner in the coil to remove the bigger particles. Some people mix a bottle spray with water and dawn soap with white vinegar and then rinse. Please shutdown the electricity for the unit and then vaccum around the coil carefully. Make sure you don't bend the fins. I always wait for Spring or Autumn to clean the units because the temperature of the house is not that bad and I can leave the unit off for a while until it get dry.

I hate the smell of the previous owner's smoke. But it doesn't bother my husband so he won't let me clean it out properly. He said it's totally clean. I had to video tape it to show him that it was nasty. He still thinks it's very clean cause it doesn't bother him. It only bothers me. , 😈
I just realized...we have NO filter on the coils. The jokes on me. All the imaginary smoke I smell is real.
Dump the background music. Distraction.
I wish when people did these videos which I really like that they wouldn't have the background music on! It's annoying, And distracting taking away my concentration of his voice!
