Thanks for your reports. I really like the short - less than 10 minutes - videos. I never get the impression that you try to stretch the news, or make silly jokes to add time.
One has to wonder if the fires are caused by lithium batteries. Seems logical that people who sink $$ into a large recreational toy like a boat might also fill the boat with smaller rec toys, some of them battery powered. There are many videos online of even very small lithium batteries looking like flame throwers.
Re Nord et al, as said previously, all insurance becomes null and void the instant AIS is switched off. Will not be reinstated until new application to insure is lodged including a full boat survey conducted after the date AIS switched off - some exemptions such as NW Indian Ocean)
Only for the budget minded mortals. You do understand that most billionaires who own billion $ companies self insure through their companies? It is far cheaper once you get to a certain size and turnover to carry the risk and not pay an external insurance company. Most insurance companies allow turning off in known pirate waters - why? Because most don't cover you for acts of war, terrorism and piracy so they collect your premium anyway and don't care.
i know ive said this before but videos like this help me confirm not buying a yact. the largest ive been on is 115 footer. thank you sysman for sharing detailed information like this without coming across as a deusche. my scyche just cannot handle it. as time goes by i come closer and closer to being 100% sure im not adquiring one. i still enjoy your videos sir. and yes i too feel i have a void to fill after the monaco gp.
Your #LEGEND love the Monaco F1 we recently had a float plane on small boat collision in the port of #VANCOUVER #BRITISHCOLUMBIA and question have you ever been here?
It’s under imminent threat of being repossessed; that is one lucky man that is a beautiful vessel if I had a boat like that, I would never ever leave it😊
just get a job at a big media corporation already! they could really use your style of reporting and linking news to ..older news. at least consider it as a side hustle:) I like SY news, but would be stoked to get this level of reporting on news that actually matter. no offense:) You're amazing!
Hi eSysman I have a "stupid" request 🙂 About Your intro, can You make the "Tuut" as long as You once had it. it was perfect. Now it sounds like you hit the tuut-button by accident. Thank You for Your work, have a good day.
The question is are marinas safe, do they have people there 24 hours. Do they have fire hydrants, people who ken how to use them. We are seeing this more and more.
I don’t understand why the anchors were deployed when trying to free that boat in Spain. They seemed to be pulling against the tug??? Why leave the vessel anchored just off shore vs taken at least to a dock area???
On fire in Lake Mead: Lake Mean is direct water source for the city of Las vegas and many cities downriver from the dam. Curious f the fire will end up dumping tons of dangerous chemicals in water and if this would be an issue or if the marina is far enough from the water inlets to not be an issue. Lake Mead has had tremendously low water levels in recent 2 years though it gaine about 20 US feet in 2023 but not sure they are able to once again spin power generating turbines other than that couple that had been modified to be able to run with very low water levels. Las vegas invested megabucks to dig a tunnel to create a new water inlet at bottom of lake because the existing inlets are now above or near surface level.
In reality, most of it probably spread by radiant heat from adjacent boats making the others out-gas before they even caught fire, but sparks (embers) are going to how it jumped over to the other dock.
lol who is going about checking vessels for AIS tho? would it be most efficient to simply fine them remotely? who is going to serve the warrant/collect the tithes?
Why do the authorities let these cretins run without AIS with no consequences. Since it is a safety item. These boats are in no danger other than the chance of them being seized by authorities....and seize them they should. Wealth should not absolve you of your legal responsibilities and Captains should lose their ticket if they agree to do this for their owners. Even Bezos switches off his AIS. Unacceptable.
Probable cause barbecue left on after dinner heated up and flammable Shade coverings caught fire and what's the wind it went from one boat to the other. This also happened on a 64 foot address down in cabo San Lucas years ago the crew probably left the barbecue on and the whole boat sank in cabo's harbor look it up
It looked to me that there were two fires, maybe more. There is a main fire seen in the left of the video but when the camera pans right you see another smaller fire some distance away from the first. I suppose its possible that something burning floated from one fire location to another, but something tells me arson. If something burning didn't float over to the second location then why was there a fire there unless it was set.
@@YachtReport I don't know about that -- there is the main fire we see and then the camera pans to the right we see a significant area that is NOT on fire and then we see that smaller fire towards the right. There's only a couple things that might cause a fire to hop from on locati0on to another without burning what's in between: sparks or light burning bits that the wind transports; or floating debris that transfers the fire from one location to another. I don't know what the wind conditions and direction were, but the odds of airborne material transferring the fire is, I think, fairly low. I also don't know what the currents were doing, what direction a floating item would move, but I'd guess that is more likely than airborne but still not too likely. I do think the authorities will figure it out and we need to give them the time to do their job, but arson would be high on the list for me.
Wait.... A yacht captain becomes very ill and the yacht grounds? No other bridge crew member knows how to drop the anchor? No safety protocols were in place? I find that very strange.

Hmmm. All of these yachts that turn off AIS should probably be carefully searched. They might be transporting or moving dangerous or illegal cargo or people.
Why aren't the countries, which allow that Russian ship ot dock, sanctioned? Very simple. If you let a sanctioned ship to dock and / or leave, your country will be declared as a terrorist state, no international trade whatsoever allowed and also fined. 50% of the GDP. You'd think after that they would reconsider.
If these russian super yacht owners have just registered their yachts under the russian flag, why didnt they do that in the first place? why register it in the camen islands for example?
I think it’s due partly to insurance. Red Ensign Group, for example, have very high requirements so an insurer knows if they are flying One of them, they meet that criteria. Russia could let a very low quality vessel fly their flag and so it doesn’t mean much.
The local news that aired almost a full day before your report of the Meade fire puts it at 26 boats caught fire. Seems you did little research for your story.
These aren't accidents lol, yachts, much like houses, are incredibly vulnerable assets. Burning down a yacht either for insurance, or in the other side, because you hate yachts or rich people, isn't hard
Wow. America catching on to the Yacht burning craze.
Terrific.
Thanks eSysman.
Someone didn't make their fire insurance payment to the Italian fire insurance company at Lake Mead.
Thanks for your reports. I really like the short - less than 10 minutes - videos. I never get the impression that you try to stretch the news, or make silly jokes to add time.
I wasn’t at the Las Vegas incident, but the news showed a video of a witness claiming the fire started in the hull of one of the vessels.

Thanks for the info mate
It was extra hot in the Mojave Desert that night.
Another fire 🔥 😮WTF ?? becoming a regular occurrence 🤔 How bizarre 🙏 ❤Blessings from Shitsville Hartlepool Teeside Northeast England ♒️ 🏴 🇬🇧 🙏 😊
That area is close to Arizona I believe and this year has been unusually hot and we have already have had some wildfires in Arizona already 🙏🏽🥵🥵🔥
Why couldn't the remaining crew able to prevent the beaching? I would think other crew members would be competent at maneuvering the yacht.
Or at least know how to drop the anchor before shore.
Thanks again.....
Old Shoe🇺🇸
Makes me cry... Hope no one was seriously injured

I see your firm in your choices, I too hold back from buying a yacht, my reasons are also clear, I'm poor....
Fiberglass boats do make for an impressive fire.
deadly smoke too ....
Tesla boats?

Hi eSysman
I have a "stupid" request 🙂
About Your intro, can You make the "Tuut" as long as You once had it. it was perfect.
Now it sounds like you hit the tuut-button by accident.
Thank You for Your work, have a good day.
Good lad! I complained when he removed it entirely a few years ago 😂
Probably find a couple guys who were counting cards when they do the cleanup. 😮
when will the government ban those dreadful lead acid batteries .
Rode their Ebikes, and plugged them in to charge omboard.
Note to self: Always bring a backup captain on my superyachts.
It looks like the fires started in TWO separate places.
Lithium batteries?
Have already driven insurance rates through the roof
I didn't know that Las Vegas had a marina, or even a harbour.
It’s called “Las Vegas…” but it’s on Lake Mead, the lake created by, and upstream of, the Hoover Dam.
@@williamp6800 Actually, we used to call it "Lost Wages". LOL
I would have thought they would have pulled that yacht further away from the beach- unless there is a steep drop off there.
They probably need to assess/fix any leaks first, rather than risk sinking the yacht like that one in Hawaii.
The question is are marinas safe, do they have people there 24 hours. Do they have fire hydrants, people who ken how to use them. We are seeing this more and more.
Just as safe as the most careless boater there
its amazing how plastic, GRP and fiberglass just catches fire like that and burns so well🤔

@2m20s.....A spark....You cant start a fire without a spark that is one thing that I guarantee.....
What about lithium batteries?...
Do all ports have pilots? Why wasn't the grounded boat towed into port?
Why do the authorities let these cretins run without AIS with no consequences.
Since it is a safety item. These boats are in no danger other than the chance of them being seized by authorities....and seize them they should.
Wealth should not absolve you of your legal responsibilities and Captains should lose their ticket if they agree to do this for their owners.

How does the crew operate on the "Nord" yacht? Captain, engineers etc.? Are their names known?
Probable cause barbecue left on after dinner heated up and flammable Shade coverings caught fire and what's the wind it went from one boat to the other. This also happened on a 64 foot address down in cabo San Lucas years ago the crew probably left the barbecue on and the whole boat sank in cabo's harbor look it up
A lot of homeless people in that area and use camping stoves and sleep on random boats. It’s a good place to stay cool in the summer for the homeless
Are you from there?
Oh dear, so many insurance claims.
I'm sure they'd rather have the boats back !

Can the fire department not count...... 12 to 15 boats??? So which is it? 12,13,14 or 15 Boats ???
Wait.... A yacht captain becomes very ill and the yacht grounds? No other bridge crew member knows how to drop the anchor? No safety protocols were in place? I find that very strange.
Was a very small yacht (23m) probably only 3 crew onboard, one of which was a captain the others probably deckhands.
I wonder how many of these fires are attributable to rechargeable electric scooters left onboard ?
Just put a apple air tracker on the boat
That’s not the first this year, n’est pas?
I can taste the smoke and I'm 2000+ miles away :)
Damage to the water supply for millions of people is also a major factor. Who pays to clean up this mess?
Too many “accidents”.
Agreed
That had to smell REALLY bad. Burning fiberglass wreaks!
Think you wanted "reeks."
@@Orxenhorf You are correct, but fire wreaked havoc!
Boulder city FD are out of Bedrock same department the Flintstones utilize,

Insurance fraud. R dock has some "interesting" slip renters.

such a shame 😭😮

So Who Had The DEBT'S That They Couldn't PAY???
Insurance scam...ARSON.
Insurance job
Were those houseboatt at lake mead...could have been a terrorist act since the migrants are in that area!! We are all in danger!!!
Someone wanna say arson and insurance fraud
😂😂😂 clever. What better way to scam insurance company. Take out multiple boats so they can’t pin it on one guy.

Same reason almost all cruiseships fly flag of convenience. Minimizing costs of taxes/registration, avoid laws of the home countries
Could it be a Russian operation? If you’re going to take our boats…
I'm pretty sure the cause of the fire was the close proximity of heat, fuel and oxygen. Mystery solved. 😀
Insurance scam...
Currently resembling Putins navy lol
Awful fire.
