Indian ringneck sounds make me so happy. I’m in the process of adopting one right now and I just- their little “hello” sound is too perfect.
Here's some unwanted info:
Taking *propper* care of a bird, especially a ringneck, takes more energie and time then a dog.
If adopting (I always say, don't shop (ergo support the industrie) but adopt (which you seem to do)), make sure to get atleast 2. Since birds are incredibly intelligent and active animals, ergo need to be kept busy 24/7.
Watch out for open doors, since if blown shut by wind. Your bird can end-up between the door...
And don't use Teflon pans, with the bird in the same room. Since it's extremely toxic for them.
@@batdog12100 thank you, however, I already know those things. I’ve had a quaker parrot for about a year and I birdsit for people in my area often. This ringneck will certainly not be my first bird, and I’m no stranger to the time (and bites) that are a part of taming and caring for a parrot.

@@bennytapia3844 No, I *still* have her, but I’ve only had her for about a year. She’s not being replaced! And she hopefully can stay with me for all of her life, along with my other birds.

They are so amazingly smart, beautiful and funny. With this said, I have a sweetheart in my little Cockatiel girl. ❤

I just got mine two days ago :")) He's extremely shy but I think everything is going okay. I'm being so patient with him, he's taking his time becoming comfortable so I'm going at his pace. But so far I've noticed that hes not jumpy every time I approach his cage, he's eating his veggies and his fruit. He loooves apples which I give to him as a reward for good progress. I noticed that hes comfortable moving around and stretching, when he first came home he was like a statue. I think I'm doing okay w him and I just want him to have the best life.

For my bird when he takes a bath a puts his foot in first to check it’s the right temperature then he sticks his whole body in

3:26 good! Every bird that humans own should be a free range bird! Your bird should always be allowed free roam and fly in your house (as long as you're there to watch out for them) For example, my birds are out from 11 in the morning until bedtime they're *never* locked away in their cage unless it's to sleep or if they go in by themselves. Don't own a bird unless you plan on giving it free flight around your house and remember.. never trim your bird's wings! 🖤

Really nice video. It shows how persistence without force wins out. Also great to see to unlikely bird species getting along well. I think it's always good for critters to have company. The ringnevk is such a pretty blue. I have GCC. They have all sorts of vibrant colors. Love 'em.

@@deepapaul3533 it’s really hard to have certain species of parrots in India and other countries certain birds are native to. I understand a bit of that, I can’t go certain places because of my quaker but it’s the life I’ve chosen😂
@@deepapaul3533 in India it is banned to keep birds which are of Indian origin such as Indian Ringneck Parakeet, but all exotic birds (Like the African Grey Parrot) and animals are allowed to be kept as pets (except endangered ones)

Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. We recently rescued a ringneck when she was found, injured and in poor condition, in the garden at my gal's parent's home. We attempted to find an owner for the longest time until the laws where we live allowed her to be adopted by us full time. This video has helped us to see that we can't give up on taming her. We have no idea where she came from, how she got to us or what her story was before coming into our lives. We have named her Jasmine because of where she was found, roosting inside of a large jasmine bush. She's come a long way, but it's videos like this that restore a bit of hope that we might just be able to get her through her traumas and provide her with a happy, loving, healthy home.

I got my first ring neck 2 mths ago. He is 8 y/o & a very crabby bird that has not much trust. I got him off an elderly lady who couldn't care for him. I hope one day he will trust me to sit on my shoulder or on my finger without biting my finger. love your video & great birds you have.

Aiight. Just want to share some unwanted, but *essential* info with future bird owners:
-When planning to adopt a bird, keep in mind that taking *proper* care of a bird, costs more energie and time, than taking care of a dog.
-When adopting a bird, adopt a minimum of 2. Since birds are incredibly intellegent and active animals. They need to be kept busy and entertaint 24/7 (While it sounds contradicting. Two birds are easier to take care off, since they can get attention from eachother)
-Don't shop, but adopt. Don't support the animal trading industry. It (mostly) is a vile business.
-Watch out for open doors, *especially* when it's drafty... (I'm guessing this doesn't need further explaining.
-Don't use teflon pans, when your bird is around since they are toxic for certain, if not all, bird species.
-When your bird flies off (which hopefully won't happen) don't panic. Especially when they are tame. The bird has entered an unknown enviroment and has no reason to fly towards the other end of the world. Keep a cool head, and look within the area (while keeping his/her favorite tread in your hands).
-And last, but not least. Everyone can get a bird. But not everyone is qualified to be a bird owner. Know yourself. At first, it might be fun and exciting. But a bird, if taken care of properly (both physically and mentaly) can reach the age of 25 and some times even 50. It is almost a life long dedication. See it as having an overly active, permanent nine your old child who likes to chew everything appart.
Edit:
-If getting two or more birds, make sure what the gender is, if you don't have the room and are not qualified to take care of hatchlings. Then don't get a male and a female, but get two males (which are more likely to get along then two females. Statisticaly speaking.)
Edit 2:
-*Don't* feed them avocado or chocolate, since it's toxic.

pomegranate is safe but not good to feed your budgie, chillies are safe

I also have an Indian ring neck parrot .He is about 7 months old and is succesfully tamed .He is green in colour.He speaks like a human.Try your parrot to say “Mitthu”.Pin this comment if you like my suggestion.
