Six Flags parks are fun to rank, and while I've had is every Six Flags park ranked before, I am doing it based on park appearance and theming this time. Is Six Flags Fiesta Texas the best one? Let's find out!

I totally agree with your Top 2 and hope to make it to Fiesta Texas in 2025 or 2026 at the latest. I thought Great Adventure, Magic Mountain, & St. Louis were ranked a little low, but I haven't visited either in the past 5 years (St. Louis since the 00's), so perhaps a lot has changed. I'm hoping with the Cedar Fair / Six Flags merger there will be a lot of improvements to the atmosphere of these parks, as well as the operations.
Ride of Steel at Darien Lake still has the Superman Logo

I knew going in that Fiesta Texas was going to be the winner. Good showing by my old home park at Great America though.
Also Superman and Dark Knight are technically in Orleans Place.
I heard about the Orleans Place thing, and I’d still argue the cohesion is off.

I’ve been to 9 of the six flags parks.
1 Fiesta Texas- clearly the best park in terms of appearance and it isn’t close.
2. Great America- great layout. Very memorable skyline. Clearly #2 by a wide margin
3. Magic Mountain- improved the areas that they have needed to
4. St. Louis. I like the setting of this park. Built on the hill side. Really nice looking park
5. Great Adventure- tbh I was running around the park on a cold rainy dead day and riding coasters. Tough to judge it but I don’t remember it being bad
6. Over Georgia kind of a blah layout. I like the GASM and Superman area.
7. Discovery Kingdom. If I were ranking based on the parking lot view of the coasters this would go much higher but the setup of the park is stupid but not the worst
8. New England. Worst layout possibly of any park. Either this or the next one parts of it don’t make much sense. Superman does look good
9. Over Texas. Dumb layout nothing is really memorable. The Spain section needed to be repainted. It was horrible. You practically need GPS to get to judge Roy scream, Titan and Shockwave
I agree with a lot of your stuff, but I don’t mind New England’s layout, especially next to Over Georgia.
@@ThemeParkAvenue I found that we do agree on a lot of stuff with this one. Discovery kingdom skyline from the parking lot looks great but when you get up close it just feels like they jammed everything together and the back of the park feels dead. Top 2 are the class of six flags parks by a wide margin

I love that the DC Area flows at Six Flags America compared to Great Adventures also New England does very well too
I think America is my least favorite DC area of the three.
Park layouts don’t bother me too much only if it’s super busy and very dark out then they get me a little anxious

At most amusement parks, I end up spending a full day, walking around, and really enjoying myself after hitting the rides. At six flags, I always go right at opening, hit the rides, and leave right after.
They’re so uninspired and generic, even if they’re not “ugly.” I end up spending no extra money and leaving as soon as I can.
On this topic, after running around all the coasters all day at SWO, just watching the coasters and taking pictures for 45 minutes was a great close to the day
@@kamicoasts SWO is an awesome park. As long as the waits aren’t too bad there’s good rides, great shows, and really unique food and drink. Plus it’s beautiful. Six Flags just feels like going to Walmart if Walmart had roller coasters.
The six flags parks that I’ve been to are SFNE, my home park, and SFGAdv and I think you ranked them well in terms of appearance. Both parks I think are fine in terms of that aspect, but nothing special, although I like SFNE’s appearance a bit more.
Also, the one common criticism that I see about six flags parks that I don’t understand at all is the cleanliness. SFNE was clean in every visit in 2022 for me and it was the same for my 2022 visit at SFGAdv. At least with the other common criticisms, I can agree on them or at least see where they are coming from. But not with the cleanliness of the parks.
Most of the parks are pretty clean so I agree with you.
I have a season pass at SFNE. I agree 100% with you about the cleanliness. Twice this year I saw a group of new hires walking around the park being trained on how to keep the park clean. Batman needs a paint job and Flashback needs to go to the scrap yard
It's a nit pick but Superman and Dark Knight are in Orleans Place not Mardi Gras. The Mardi Gras section is right next to it and I get that they are similar since Mardi Gras is associated with New Orleans but they are separate sections. That's why Superman is themed with a french quarter building, Orleans place's theme

@@DraxWithASax it’s an amazing Six Flags park, my personal favorite.
I’m not too surprised seeing America at the bottom. Beyond the Mardi Gras and Crackaxle Canyon areas, the park isn’t very photogenic. The park looks like an upscale carnival, and it definitely shows they were just trying to expand that park as quickly as possible before realizing how big of a mistake it was.
I think it speaks volume when Apocalypse was the best themed ride the park ever had.
I was curious to see where you would put my home park Six Flags New England. I would say I like being around the DC Universe area especially because of Superman and the Gotham City area because all the rides there are on batman characters.
It is a nice looking park overall
Fiesta Texas is easily the best looking and theming wise and it’s a mile difference.

18:47 Correction since this is my home park. Superman and Dark Knight are in the Orleans Place area. Mardi Gras is actually a really small area between DC Universe (formerly Yankee Harbor, may the name RIP) and Orleans Place.
That makes sense, but does that mean they are still in a New Orleans themed area?

For me my number one is def magic mountain it’s just all the trees. No fancy theming or anything like that. But it’s not just the trees, the coasters are absolutely beautiful and the view of scream from the parking lot is amazing. You also can’t forget the roars of almost every coaster.
It’s a beautiful one, and I’m still not sure if I ranked it in the right place.

Magic Mountain gets so much hate when it looks like it was a park made in a video game
My biggest pet peeve about Six Flags is that they all look basically the same. Not much individuality in them, kind of like a national fast food chain. Everything just feels faded and corporate.
I think a few of them have distinct appearances even if their atmospheres are the same.
I have only visited a handful of Six Flags parks.... But based on appearance my rankings based on Appearance.
1) Great Escape - Entering the park Steamin Demon is gorgeous (looks better than it rides), park is always super clean. Nicest Kids area of any of them. Layout is funky, but all the old Storybook land buildings are what brings the park its charm, and separates it from all the "corporate" Six flags park. Also I like the entrance view and entry plaza the best of all the Six Flags chain.
2) Six Flags MM - Only been there 2 days, was clean, and the layout o the mountain was pretty cool. Collosus was a cool welcome to the park.
3) Darien Lake - Feels very open. Has a unique collection of rides not found at other SF parks (outside of Ride of Steel). Super clean and friendly.
4) Great Adventure - My home park, landscaping sucks, Filthiest SF park I have attended. Corporate ads every 15 feet in the park. Landscaping is bad.
5) America - Layout is bad, been dirty about 1/2 the times I went there. Rides look run down, you are right about the entry plaza.
This is a fair ranking, I think Great Escape just didn’t quite sit right with me.

I’ve only been to Six Flags, America and Six Flags, Magic Mountain and honestly there isn’t really that much of a difference for me Whistlestop park in the DC area of America are ugly no doubt, but I thought the DC area of Magic Mountain was also pretty ugly as well as the area near X2 and viper but samurai summit is so disappointing it just feels like they left the area to rot
Samurai Summit definitely needs work.
