What does it mean to gray out? I'm not sure I understand that term being used in the video. I just found your channel so apologies to ask if you've already covered it before. Side question. What roller coaster does anyone recommend for someone that's never done inversions? Please no one troll me, I want to try more coasters out if I can after a year of healing from an upcoming ALIF (Spinal fusion) and I want to get over that fear I have of inversions.
Welcome to the channel! I often use roller coaster jargon without stopping to define it so your question is fair. Graying put occurs when the G-forces (gravity) exerted on someone are so strong that their vision seems to have a gray filter in front of it. If it ever happens to you, you will know it. For your other question, it would help to know if you have plans to visit any particular parks. In general, rides with a single loop such as Soooerdooperlooper at Hersheypark and New Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain are good starting points. My very first roller coaster was similar to those two and now I’m a coaster enthusiast, so I would recommend looping coasters like those.
@@ThemeParkAvenue I used to visit Michigan Adventure but now that I love in Georgia I have either 6 flags over Georgia or I could always go up to Tennessee or down to Florida. I'm pretty open, I just know that I get very scared to try anything with an inversion to the point my knees have collapsed when I was in line for the corkscrew but don't collapse when in line for something like Wolverine Wildcat. (I dipped out of the line for corkscrew also because of the fear 😅😬) Last time I went to 6 Flags Over Georgia I rode the then "Georgia Cyclone" and I had excruciating back pain after it and they later redid the ride because of the injuries coming from it. On it, I knocked heads with my ex husband too. So if I can get more comfortable recommendations, so I don't have to re-do my fusion 🤣😅, I would appreciate it. Oh! And thank you for the welcome and your response/help!
My top 25 coasters out of 200 credits (pre Pantheon). I have been to BGT but before Iron Gwazi so that’s why it isn’t on here but Montu is: 1. The Voyage - Holiday World 2. VelociCoaster - Islands of Adventure 3. Intimidator 305 - Kings Dominion 4. El Toro - Six Flags Great Adventure 5. Fury 325 - Carowinds 6. Top Thrill 2 - Cedar Point 7. Wildcat’s Revenge - Hersheypark 8. Skyrush - Hersheypark 9. Steel Vengeance - Cedar Point 10. Lightning Rod - Dollywood 11. X2 - Six Flags Magic Mountain 12. Twisted Timbers - Kings Dominion 13. Maverick - Cedar Point 14. Lightning Run - Kentucky Kingdom 15. The Legend - Holiday World 16. Storm Chaser - Kentucky Kingdom 17. Thunderhead - Dollywood 18. The Incredible Hulk - Islands of Adventure 19. Phantom’s Revenge - Kennywood 20. Ravine Flyer II - Waldameer 21. Montu - Busch Gardens Tampa Bay 22. Phoenix - Knoebels 23. Copperhead Strike - Carowinds 24. Raptor - Cedar Point 25. Tatsu - Six Flags Magic Mountain
Nice list, the two that stand out most to me here are SteVe on 9 below WR on 7 and Copperhead Strike being in this list at all, could you further explain what you like and dislike about those two I’m very intrigued 👀
@@NathanHydra Good question! The reason why Steel Vengeance is not my top RMC is because it’s not as aggressive as I want it. Because of that, the repetitiveness is more apparent. Great ride, but it’s a little too one-sided for me. I prefer rides that have a lot of different forces and elements. Wildcat’s Revenge reins as my favorite RMC because of its aggressiveness and variety. My ride preferences are exactly why Copperhead Strike is here. The launches kinda suck, but the rest of the ride is one of the most balanced roller coasters I’ve ever ridden. It almost gets to Maverick level but falls just short. I’m not one of those enthusiasts who think airtime is the one all, be all force/element. I love positive Gs, laterals, and inversions! That also explains the appearance of two B&M Inverts (Montu and Raptor).
I wouldn't put '305 as the best due to one element, the first turn is isn't my favorite part, that would be the relentless speed followed by that hop at ~85 MPH. I did ride Fury again recently, the front row is better and brilliant but none of the other rows do more than hint at how good the front is, not real forceful and the seats combine into a windscreen. Props on a high ranking for Ka, it's hard to rank among normal coasters but so great, although it can also scramble your brain with vibration. I'd rate Arie Force ahead of Wildcat's by one pond, it also ramps up in the middle.
wicked cyclone is one of the best rmc's ive been on, i have been on 4 total, steel vengeance, wicked cyclone, jersey devil and wildcats and wicked cyclone is right up there with voyage and el toro for me personally
Great list! But not having Montu on there and BGT being your home park should be a criminal offense. I know its almost 30 years old but she is still a beast. I think it pulls more G's than Iron Gwazi!. But overall great list and I can't argue with that number 1 at all.
@@ThemeParkAvenue Yeah I hear that. A lot of good ones I just don't really get to experience... I just don't get to travel as much so I'm a little biased with my home park 🤣. I will have to compile a list of these and put them all on the bucket list so when I can travel I will try to go to one of those parks! Keep up the great job with all your content!
Kingda Ka over Voyage and diamondback ? Hey that's your ranking 🤷🏾♂️ but in now way could I put a one tick pony over rides with this many great elements
Ok so Steel Vengeance is at my home park and it's been my #1 for more than 4 years now... but after about 12 rides on Iron Gwazi over a week long trip at Busch Gardens Tampa, I couldn't lie to myself anymore Iron Gwazi is the best roller coaster I've ever ridden
No love for Beast? I'm a sucker for wooden coasters and Beast was the most unhinged, wild, out of control thing I've ever ridden. My overall #3 (behind SteVe and Maverick)
I do love the Beast, and it was a serious contender. The night ride is something else, but it’s overall not quite in my top 25 best coasters list. It might make a list solely based on enjoyment.
The only positive wouldve been if GADV announced they decided to make it a dueling coaster ala lighting loops, rolling thunder, chiller, and not some carnival ride that they couldn't open in their 50th anniversary.... sorry but not sorry
A few years back this list was almost all B&M and Intamin. I’ve experienced quite a few truly exceptional woodies and RMCs more recently. The rides on this list are all more than worthy of #1 on anybody’s list.

Great video! Very nice top 25 list! I really enjoyed watching this!
The cobra roll on Hulk at IOA is probably the most intense cobra roll ever made. I grey out on it every time.
I grey out right after the cobra roll heading into the huge vertical loop sometimes
Alpengeist for me
Hulk definitely has the best cobra roll I’ve experienced, and I’d even say it has the best collection of inversions of any coaster
