Love these clean and simple designs! Amazing how much using different papers changes the whole look! Your instructions are always easy to understand and translate into a beautiful card! Thank you!
Lorraine, you have knocked it out of the pak again with this tutorial. I have seen some pretty cards done this way and you have explained perfectly how the techniqie is done. Thanks so much! I especially love the seaside card, but also love the florals and birds.
Thank you so much! You are so kind. I try to break the steps down to understand them easily. I love those same cards too, but then it is hard to choose a favorite! Just keep going with it and make more!
Got it at a church tag sale for $2! I have a huge collection of nice ones that I display in my kitchen and change seasonally. Love them. Thanks for watching!
Hi Robin! I'm glad you learned something new. The DSP collections in the new Stampin' Up! Catalogs and upcoming Sale-a-bration are really nice. Thanks for watching and for your comment. 😊
Thank you, Justine! If you've seen any of my other videos, you will know that I like showing different variations of a card design or technique. I hope it inpires people to try different things and get creative.
Yes, that is one way to think of it! Some papers can be a bit busy or bold if you use too much of it on one project. Here they are highlighted with a good amount of "white space" around them to make it easier on the eye. Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Thank you, Michelle! The birds paper is part of a package that will be available for free with a $50 order with Stampin' Up! July and August. Part of their Sale-a-bration promotion. Let me know if you would like more info.
The sail boat is so cute. Ended up doing shells here instead but will certainly do some sail boats too. Watch my Facebook Page.... I'll post there when I make one. 😁
briliant. i dont have most of cutters and machines to give professional effect. but these cards are very doable with the items i have. Lovely. thank you.
Love love love this idea… why have I never thought of something like this. I do a lot of watercoloring of background floral stamps… this would work with the style of coloring that I do… thank you so much!!
What great ideas! This is the first time I have watched one of your videos and was fascinated by your cards! I'm ready to try some. Thanks for taking the time and effort to make these videos. I'm off to watch some others!!
Something different! I love it! I especially love the version with the DSP on top! I think my mom would love one, but I have to mail it, I love the look of torn paper & will play around with tearing the roll off. Thank you so much for inspiring me!
Thank you...so glad you like it. You can mail it, just expect possible extra postage and the roll might get a little squished. The smaller you keep it, the better for that. Someone suggested maybe bubble wrap over it....might work, but will definitely be thicker. I bet Mom is worth it though! 😉😁
Put on the envelope "PLEASE HAND STAMP". Don't put the card in a mail box or slot; have the postal worker at the counter stamp it right in front of you. (I think these postal workers are getting used to processing handmade cards!)
Your cards are absolutely beautiful 💕. Thank you for sharing the technique as well as tips & suggestions throughout the process. I think your use of designer paper is brilliant and adds so much pizzazz! Cheers, 😊💕

Hi Lorraine. I really enjoy your videos and your creativity. Loved these cards. Especially the ones using the DSP. I too have been really enjoying the Let's Set Sail set. Thanks so much. 😊
Hello! Nice you hear from you again, and thank you. Have fun making these cards. I can't wait to play more with Let's Set Sail too!
Lovely cards!! It would be cool to use DSP on top AND for the reveal with paper like the last one, or any other that is monochromatic and has images you can colour. It would be a real Wizard of Oz effect with the tear-away part. The monochromatic, uncoloured piece would be on top and torn down the middle. And you could colour in the images on the piece that gets revealed. You'd need to line them up so the images line up for full effect. Hmmm... I need to see if I have any DSP like that.... 😊
Hi Lucy! I'm glad you like this idea and are thinking of other ways to use it! Stampin' Up! has some designer paper called Perfectly Penciled that would do what you are describing. It has outlines of floral images that can be colored and used under the torn piece. Thanks for sharing!
