Thank you Lorraine for giving your viewers easier measurements and instructions to follow. This is a beautiful card with the time and effort, because any mistake in measuring or layout will be obvious. 💖💖
So I watched this when it came out. Kept it in the back of my mind for when I needed it. I just made it today and following you made it easier then I thought. THANK YOU so very much for sharing this wonderful layout. I will be using again for sure. I love stamping along with your videos.
It really isn't too hard. Basically, cut the equal width strips from one piece, keep them in order, then trim a little off the tops and bottoms appropriately. It's pretty easy compared to some other card designs. Give it a try a few times! You'll see how it goes. Good luck, and thanks for your comment!
WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL DESIGN, Lorraine! TERRIFIC DIRECTIONS throughout, too! Whenever we can create designs that SHOW OFF the lovely SU DSPs (and there are a ton!!) I LOVE IT!! The DSP does the work (mostly) and gets to “be the star” of the card! I look forward to seeing a few more of YOUR DSP choices, too! TFS n’ HAPPY STAMPIN’ n’ CREATIN’! Sending SMILES from Madison, WI! :-))))) Have a lovely day! :-)
Thanks for your lovely comment, Judith. I agree with you about the gorgeous dsp and there is much more about to come with the new catalog! Are you a demonstrator? If so, then you know what I'm talking about! If not, then you'll get some sneak peeks real soon. Happy stamping!
Hi Billie! Thanks for watching from Michigan. Have fun with it. Some of the new dsp patterns from the new catty will look awesome on this type of card!
@@stampwithlorraine5074 I was late getting my new catalog.. I forget it's a fiscal year.. lol. But.. yes. The newer DSP is Gorgeous. I wanted to be a more Active demo... but.. Hi. I love the glamour of your Art Deco style cards, they're just fabulous! What size is your finished card? Thank you for sharing your wonderful skills and ideas. I hope you are having a good weekend.
Thanknyou, Leone, I'm glad you like them. They are easy once you get the concept. Do several to get the hang if it and then they go very quickly. Have fun!
Lovely works! I really appreciate your detailed instructions! Haven’t done this before but I think I can follow yours! Also love the simplicity of your designs thanks so much. Been watching most of the day because I’m sitting with my foot up, broken toe.
Oh no, Sherry! I hope your toe heals soon. Good excuse to sit around and watch videos though! (LOL) Thank you for your compliment. I'm glad you are enjoying them. As a former teacher by profession, I try to break down the steps so that they are easily understood. I hope you stay tuned for more.
I just love this!!! I have tons of SU DSP from over the years (began stamping 1999). I have kept it for something "special". Thanks to you and this video, I can now use it for a lot of beautiful cards. All my May BDCs will be using this technique - with a note to direct them to this video!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
You are very welcome! I'm so glad you like it. (I've been hoarding DSP since 2003 as well.) This card is an impressive technique but not very difficult. I will be using it for an upcoming class, for sure! (What is a BDC?)
I happen to come across your website and I watched your video. You are very creative and your directions are clear and to the point. I subscribed to your website.
Oh good! I'm glad, Claudia. My goal was to make it easy. I believe if you understand the concept, the execution is easier. (Mist be the teacher side of me! 😉) So go ahead and try it! It's fun. Once you get going it gets even easier.
Love your cards! Your method looks easier than another I saw. Do you by chance have the measurements written down so I could print out? Thanks for sharing! 👍😁💕
Thank you, Dawn! Once you understand the concept, it's easier than just ring to cut a bunch of measurements. I will put instructions up on my blog soon. Please stay posted!
Thank you, Debra! I really like the paper too. Unfortunately they are retiring from Stampin' Up! Get them while you can if you really love them! (Map is already retired.)

I love this very effective design and plan to use it soon. Luckily I bought the Sailing Home suite when it first came out so have the stamps and dies and papers and...all of the goodies! The hexagon and Tailored Tag punches live on my desk so I always get perfect banner tails since I never get them even when using scissors.
I'm songlad you will give it a try. It really goes quickly once you get the plan down. I love the Sailing Home collection. Sad to see it go. Have fun with these cards.
Oh Lorraine, I just made my first panoramic card & I am over the moon. I love the way you teach techniques! I’m a big fan, thank you for sharing your talents. ☀️ Have you tried doing this technique using embossing folders?
I'm so glad you tried it and love as I do! Yay! And it's really easy too, if you cut the big piece first, the way I suggest, right? I love your idea of embossing folders....Will try that. Let me know if you do too.❤️
Lorraine I’m just wondering, why didn’t you trim the card stock and DSP before you cut the strips? In my head it would have taken less time overall and the possibility of being ever so slightly short on any piece would be eliminated. I’m new to card making so what might seem logical to someone with more experience isn’t for me. Thank you. Never mind. I continued watching and got my question answered. 😊
