Another great video and great modification, I love the custom shifter boot 🏆🌎👀🔥
Thanks bro!!💯 and I too like the way it turned out!🥶
Are you able to put a 2018 or 2024 Chevy steering wheel on?
I’m not sure I’ve never tried it, but I’m sure it can be done with some modifications or parts swap
Best video I’ve seen on this . Good job G. And yea, I do want that custom boot for the shifter.💪🏽
Thanks bro!!
has anyone ever run into changing the steering wheel for a aftermarket steering wheel and the factory steering wheel has the 2 plugs for the airbags not sure how to wire it up
Not sure but It may require 2 variable resistors. One each set of wires, my truck only had one pair, hope that helps!
Thank you so much for your video. You are awesome. I needed this! 🙏🫶
No problem💯 Glad the video helps out!
I wanna purchase one of those shifter boots bro but I don’t have an instagram
At the moment I’m using Instagram only
Just bought that nrg adapter 04 to 06 and it don't fit? I got a 05 silverado
What model number did you purchase?
excellent video showing all of the details for us less experienced viewers. The photography along with the detailed explanation was excellent. one of the best how-to videos.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks!!
No thanks
I’ll go ahead and share this video with my Homie
Awesome!💯
What size of bolt did u use for the forever sharp spacer
@@rubenmarroquinjr3331 don’t remember right now but I have it on my quick release video 99-02 Tahoe/Silverado/yukon Steering wheel quick release Installation
ua-cam.com/video/z3LIiv4dfLE/v-deo.html
Where did you get your resistor for the airbags?
On Amazon here #ad amzn.to/4d34css
I did this almost exact install on my 2001 Silverado and when I turn the wheel to the left it makes a loud click, sounds like it’s coming from the clock spring area and only when I turn it to the left, I used the same hub adapter and everything do you know or have a idea what the problem could be? I put the stock wheel back on just to verify and it doesn’t make the sound with the stock wheel
I wonder if it’s hitting the plastic shroud have you trimmed it? And have you tried it without the shroud? Or unless the hub adapter is not sitting flush or right direction 🤔
👏👏👏
🫡
This is clean. Will it still pass state inspection. I’m in Texas?
@@mw1355 I’m in Texas, I just take my Truck for regular inspection and it passes my Tahoe is 2001 and Thanks!
@@MiGo713 Thanks bro. I have a 2005 Tahoe.
Bro would you mind doing a video on how to install the factory one back on? I bought a 2000 tahoe with that same style but I wanna go back to factory and have no clue how to do it any advice? Thanks
Ah ok, it’s pretty simple just it reverse order. The aftermarket steering wheel needs to be unbolted and you will need a steering wheel puller to remove the hub adapter, after that you will be able to bolt the original one back on. Make sure your battery is disconnected to reconnect your factory airbag wiring in place if it was cut. Hope that helps
Thank you so bro for this video super helpful I was trying to find how to make the horn work and I couldn’t until now when I saw your video really appreciate so much and keep up that great work as well bro 🙏🙏🙏
Awesome glad it helps out! Thanks!💯
So what exactly all do I need to buy for my 2003 Chevy Silverado what adapter ? I already have a grant wheel
The 03 hub adapter is here #ad amzn.to/3F6CZ8q and I have all the other parts listed in the description as well👍🏼
Hell yeah. I been waiting for this one. Great video bro. Keep it going. What speakers are you going with. Are you them pulling from the yukon
Thanks bro!! Appreciate it! 💯💯💯 Yeah I missed my wood Grain steering wheel lol. I’m not sure at the moment but I would like to do a new system if possible
Good video man. Step by step. Preciate cha. 👍👍
Glad you think so!! Thanks!!💯💯💯
Once I get an avalanche I'll do this I like the steering wheel it matches the brown leather seats from the Cadillac
👍🏽
Hey man my wheel feels super stiff since I put mine on it appears to be with the hub?
Not sure, maybe make sure everything is sitting nice and flush or could be the plastic shroud touching🤔
LGBilletUSA sells billet shifters and just released some with the haul button built in
Oh cool, yeah I saw that but they look a bit more bulky and cost is 2.5 -3.5 higher but nicer than factory for sure👍🏼 I’m Happy with my set up though and Thanks!!💯
I knew that shifter had to be modified...wish I was inclined to do this type of stuff
You can do it bro👍🏼
Amazing explanation. Thanks for the step by step
Glad it helps out and Thanks!
The moment u hear Mario game 😅😅😅😅
Right lol
Lg billet sells a shifter for nbs with tow button
I’ve seen it, I already had mines and I like this style, but thanks!
Nice upgrade. What did you do with the other steering wheel buttons like to check the other stuff?
Thanks! On my 01 Tahoe I don’t have any steering wheel controls, but if it did they would be lost. Or Grant also makes a nice sporty steering wheel which retains the steering wheel controls and airbag
They can't be relocated? Oh what size wheels you have tires ? I want to run 305/35/24 with a 3/5 drop
@@christorres953 It might be possible to relocate but it may not be too easy, I haven’t done it personally but I know it’s harder. You can use the 305/35/24 on the the 3/5 drop just make sure you have the correct offset like +31mm or more to tuck a bit. Or a 295/35/24 which is almost the same and ride very good, or a 295/30/24 which will be lower profile tire but looks nice on a dropped Tahoe
Awesome
Thanks!!💯
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!!💯💯💯
Amazing video..... 💯🔥
Thanks!!💯
will the shifter boot fit a 2000 s10 thanks
I believe it does I haven’t tried it but they look the same and the factory steering wheels
@@MiGo713 Thank you how much they go for. But not sure if it will fit
70 shipped you can send me a dm on my Instagram @ Migo713
So I added everything you added on the description everything works perfectly so when I hook up the switch for the haul do I have to press it a couple times or is that the way it works in order to turn it
on/off
On Nice, and yes on the haul it’s a momentary switch so you press it once to turn on and and once again to turn off, it resets each time works the same as the original button except it’s just relocated on the bottom
Got it cool bro thanks again for the info
@armandopadilla9592 For sure, and no problem glad it helps out👍🏼
I'm building a yukon I put the same lowering kit you did on your old yukon I also put caddy 6.0 and 4l65 and caddy interior did a fan conversion as well I put a denali front clip and hd hood put my caddy seats yesterday today was shifter and switch next is rear bumper and 3rd brake light
@@armandopadilla9592 Awesome sounds like your Yukon is coming along nicely! 💯
What happens if I just cut the tow haul button?
The tow haul button will just not work until you connect the wires back
Will the light come on?
@@theLastHuff no it stays off it only comes on when the wires are connected to a switch, it requires a momentary press of the button to turn the light on every time, that’s how it’s set up from the factory
@@MiGo713thank you for that info
I have a billet shifter with no button an I don’t want the light on(I don’t tow)
I got two wires connected to my air bag what do I do?
I show all the steps how I replaced my steering wheel here, I had to disconnect my battery first and then add resistor since my airbag wouldn’t work on my aftermarket woodgrain steering wheel. Grant also sells a aftermarket steering wheel that will work with the factory airbag
@MiGo713 I get that but my airbag has two wire that connects to it and each side has 2 wires so two on the left two on the right connector do I splic3 the together then solder in my 2 ohm resistor idc about my airbag jus5 don't want the light on
@@ColtonRobinson-n6l Oh ok I haven’t seen them with wires on each side probably cause mines is a 01, I’m not exactly sure but you might just need one set of wires only, it would be best to fully test the wires since I have not done one like that yet
@@ColtonRobinson-n6l junta los 4 cables con la resistencia y busca que se apague como el lo ase en el video yo lo acavo de aser hoy funciono
I have the 2 plugs as well on my airbag anyone ever see how the wires would have to be connected to Change to aftermarket steering wheel
Hell yea bro! Big help I appreciate the video
No problem !👍🏽
