Out of all the unreleased Thriller demos, this one feels the most in-line with the final cuts, and I think it would've been a great track to include.
i can´t explain to you how much i love this song. the first time i heard it was like waking up to the past...like i already knew this song by heart but this track isn´t finished musically speaking. in other words, there´s a point where you just can´t take it further. there´s no place in thriller for this track. this is the perfect b-side to pyt. the kind of b-side that becomes a hit.

Coming off a hot album like OFF THE WALL, I can only imagine the pressure MJ was sort of facing. A true artist he was, MJ never ruled out in experimenting with different sounds from what I've always noticed and heard in listening to his catalog. This song here demonstrates that. However, no diss to Quincy Jones, but for me, it really would've been something had MJ collaborated with Rick James at the time in letting him to produce the THRILLER project. What a listening experience that would've been because, RJ was really in his prime afa creativity, writing and producing were concerned. MJ was just as unmatched at the time. I [do] thank goodness as to how the entire THRILLER phenomenon played out, but I can still only imagine as to what would've come from this legendary iconic music geniuses.

I wouldn't say all young people. Some who are like me, enjoy older music such as this. I understand what you're saying though. Majority of my generation likes the music now rather than this. What's fascinating with all of these MJ demos is that they are FANTASTIC but I can see why they were left behind. This one has some of the funkiest synth arrangements he's ever had, but after the first minute or so it just gets repetitious and drags for a bit. It doesn't have the same "punch" as the rest of the Thriller tracks.
I think it's strange, though, that "Can't Get Outta the Rain," a minor remix of the back half of "You Can't Win" (and by "minor" I mean that the word "game" in the original song was changed" to "rain," because that's really all that seems to have been changed), was used as a B-side instead of "Hot Street." Maybe Rod Temperton wanted to hold onto it; he reworked "Got the Hots," another track recorded during the "Thriller" sessions, for Siedah Garrett six years later and titled it "Baby's Got It Bad."
Andreas Nordvall well Quincy could've tweaked it, added some other instruments and gave it a heavier bass.

Hot Street was gonna be one of his famous song but Quincy Jones decided to don't take this song for the Thriller Album, and he said the same thing for Billie Jean. What happend to Quincy ?!
