Slapstick "From The Album "Thriller" Lyrics :
[Verse 1]
Stone shaker, your here tonight
You've got to, you love maker
Girl it's alright
You can't remember when you smiled
You know it's going to take some time
Heart-walker, I'm here to touch
You've got to, Night-stalker
Love you so much
You feel you need a hand to hold
Then maybe you and I
Can make it on our own
[Chorus]
Bring out some Slapstick (turning me on)
Bring out some magic (your number one)
Bring out some Slapstick (making me high)
Because the Slapstick love, will make you smile
(Darling, yeah)
[Verse 2]
That heart-breaker, has gone away
So baby, you don't fake it
Let your heart play
There's more than love, that we can make
Your holding it behind your eye, (yeah, yeah)
Some feeling, you can't explain
It's such a, a hard feeling
Lying in bed's flame
It's spinning round and round again
And baby you and I
Can make it on our own
[Chorus]
Give me some Slapstick (turning me on)
Bring out the magic (your number one)
I want some Slapstick (making me high)
Because the Slapstick love, will make you smile
(Every time, He He, He He)
Oh
[Verse 3]
(No more crying)
Reach out and bring a little love
In your life, girl
(Keep on trying)
You got to keep on trying baby
Holding on to love, tonight
[Guitar Solo]
(Oh no)
Stone-shaker, your far to much
You've got to, you love maker
Girl it's alright
Your spinning' round and round again
So baby let it shine
And everything's alright
[Chorus][x2]
Because of Slapstick (turning me on)
I want some magic (your number one)
I want some Slapstick, girl (making me high)
Because the Slapstick love, will make you smile
[Chorus]
Bring out the Slapstick, (turning me on)
I want some magic, girl (your number one)
I want some Slapstick, girl (making me high)
Because the Slapstick love, will make you smile
(Oh)

Why do I love hot street but Slapstick slaps different. More soul in his voice
Definitely! His voice sounds much more groovier here. His vocal delivery is much more like the Off The Wall period on this.
Agreed!! I love Slapstick way better than Hot Street.

Hot Street is not a demo. It is a Unreleased song. Slapstick is the Demo for Hot Street. Hot Street is the final version of Slapstick.
You are correct!
Michael xxxxxx you love you❤ xx xx xx
Michael xXxX love you❤ xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xxxxxx
No it’s correct. It says hot street demo. It’s the demo for hot street that was going to be on the thriller album but was dropped.
I'm listening to a playlist of all these "demos", and most of them are just different mixes of a particular MJ song. Now people is way confused about the difference between both.
So this is a demo of a demo of a song
slapstick was written about The Three Stooges as Michael Jackson foreword says in The biography of Curly Howard The Super Stooge, he said "The Stooges craziness helped me to relax and to escape life's burdens. They influenced me so much that I even wrote a song about them called SLAPSTICK"
"Curly was definitely my favorite Stooge. He was unquestionably a comic genius who understood ad-libbing better than anyone. I loved the Stooges' slapstick action and especially his funny noises and his silly, child-like mannerisms and attitudes. He should be honored much more than what has been done for him in the past, for everyone who loves him."
This is only a hypothesis, but I bet Quincy heard it and thought the subject matter needed to be changed to something more adult...So he wrote it about picking up hookers.
More so a demo for an unreleased song.
Hot street wasn't a demo. It was a finished song that didn't make the album.
Hot Street and Slap Stick are both demos because they dont sound finished. Remember Billie Jean had 3 at least demos and WBSS had at least 2 demos. Hot street official version is still under the estate. Its possible it could of had at least 2 demos. Im pretty sure the finished version sounds much better.
The lyrics where even better in this demo than in the unreleased version in my opinion!
Exactly! Although I like Hot Street, Slapstick will always be my favorite
This is unreleased too.
This shit literally SLAPS
I think the Estate should release Thriller 40th Anniversary and add a 2nd disc of bonus unreleased tracks like THIS !!! Hot Street , the demo to PYT , Got The Hots , Trouble .. it makes perfect sense 💯💯
I totally agree
its already been thriller's 30th anniversary...heck its almost its 40th next year!!!!
This might just happen!
…. A year later - and I see the post again . Did I predict it ????? 😅😅🔥🔥💯💯
@@nigelmathew3666 looks like me and the Estate think alike lol
1:27 you can't explAIN 🤣
Hot street is hot, but the melody and strings on this Demo slaps harder!
I feel like MJ fans don’t understand the difference between a demo and an unreleased song. MJ made 30 songs during the making of thriller and only 9 of the songs made it to the final cut. So just because it wasn’t released doesn’t mean it was a demo. And Ik I’m rambling by this point but if Billie Jean wasn’t released on thriller people would be calling it a demo which obviously isn’t
Right lol
Correct, a demo is a demonstration of what a song should sound like in its final form. Many songs made it to their final forms, but weren't included in the album cuts.
Which ones?
Sometimes the songs are demos but were never finished
Very true, but the fact that this man put out so much music that he has potential albums of unreleased finished song “demos” ready to go in their unfinished forms before the Estate can get to it for a “refurbishment” is still amazing and speaks to the devotion of his craft.
It's like finding a hidden treasure with this demo.
I’m just putting the piece together and assuming but it looks like slapstick is the real demo and hot streak was the finished product (or last revision) and just got cut from the Thriller album. Crazy how artist do this all the time but the fact that it is MJ and literally his music that was “not good enough” is good enough to be some other artists number one song is astonishing. Hope the officially release hot streak as is and not try to modernize it (even though I love what the did to the love never felt so good demo).
i love the energy in this demo! :)
Thinking of all the tracks that would have made into short films. Imagine this a short film
Slapstick better than Hot Street 🏁🔥
FACTS!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥that tone
Both versions are so perfect
So first it was a song about fun love, then all of a sudden it rewritten to be about "the streets at night". What the heck Quincy?
Love 💘 this era
I prefer this version
Funkier😎🎹🎶🎺🎤🎼🎵🎧
Its not grate quality but its just better than Hot Street
Higher energy, rawer song.
Michael Jacksongod yea I agree hot street is slightly better
It's great but I prefer the final song.
80's 💖♥️❤️
A Demo for a demo lmao
Actually, "Hot Street" was completed but left off the final version of the album due to Quincy Jones feeling the song lacked the edginess of other tracks.
@@enriquetheprofessor hot street is edgy asf what
Je ne la connaissait pas celle ci. elle est tout aussi génial que les autres :)
I'm waiting for MICHAEL JACKSON,S FEW SONGS OF UNRELEASED LIKE CALIFORNIA GRASS
Also, like how this is crappier in quality compared to hot street. I don’t understand why there are so many crappy quality demos, they should sound so much better.
because it’s a demo, not a mastered song
PlagueDoc64 Doesn’t have to be a mastered song to have a good dynamic range. Cassette tapes sound better than this. There’s a lot of demos that are very good quality as they should be.
don’t cassette tapes deteriorate over time?
PlagueDoc64 Depends. I’m not saying this is a cassette. My point is they sound better. And this video certainly doesn’t represent the original recording quality.
ok
Imagine if this was released as a single. It would be the best!
This is only a demo and this so much better than most music released today.
I'm sure this is late 1981 after touring , this was like one of the first recording for thriller, is voice was clearer that the beat ,
Majority of Michael Jackson’s thriller songs were recorded in 1981. Wanna be starting somethin was “worked” on in 1978 I heard.
Yes@TheinvincibleOne Hot street is Unreleased song and slapstick is demo of that song.
C est petit son des 80´sa la sauce Michael c est un régal
Love songs ❤❤❤
Bring out the Slap stick lol
Mannn. This is prime Mike

@@mbperson7982 ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯

The Restoration of Dr Who idk I think his music channel on UA-cam
How did this even get leaked 💀
CHAMONE
Slapstick?
Yes this is really the his music .
I read a reply to a comment saying it meant a private part I actually thought it meant that before lol I’m just a kid with a dirty mind
@@miorirouson9260 bro nooo 💀 it is a type of humor, as far as i know the song was based on the three stooges who used slapstick humor.
it's like the bottom part of the iceberg of michael jackson's songs
Sorry, Hotstreet is better. Slapstick love? That doesn't even make sense.
Yes I prefer hotstreet too...
i mean tbh it should be better anyways this is literally the early version, so u should already expect better from the official version
Sounds like a song Prince would record
yeah they listened to 1999 all the time while recording thriller lol
@@DjIceCnS is that a fact or are you just talking ? At the time of the recording 1999 wasn’t even out yet.
@@ThahitmanTyrie yes it was
@@DjIceCnS 1999 came out in 1982. This demo is 1981.
