    You were the first person to pop up when I was looking up historical haircare and oiling. Ever since then I've made all of your herbal recipes and I've only started this haircare journey for about a year and a half now. You have truly changed my hair and I can't thank you enough for that. My hair used to only be bra strap length and it was not happy. Since watching you my hair has grown from bra strap length to now hip length. IN A YEAR! I'm not even kidding this is crazy how well all of your recipes work. I'm still learning how often I should be doing things but hands down, your stuff works. Thank you for everything you've posted and shared. You've changed my hair for the better! ❤

      Usually no growth means people "forget" that they visit the hair dresser every 6/8 weeks; honestly they take your growth right off. If you want to grow your hair, then skip the salon for at least a year, and do home trims maybe 2 times a year, tops.

      Yes, I'd like to know how you wash your hair/how often you wash it, if you use the oils as the conditioner, and then how often you readd more oil to your hair ♡

    My bottle arrived this past Monday. I did a deep overnight oil. This morning I went ahead and washed my hair with my castor oil bar shampoo. I used a little oil on my hair wet and let it dry natural. My hair is frizzy, coarse and very dry. I was pleasantly surprised that my curls dried pretty. I have never been able to have long hair as my hair stops growing right above my shoulders. I’m hoping this oil will grow it long.

    I purchased the oil from Katherine and got great results. I have a super sensitive scalp. I have problems with putting any type of oil on my scalp however using Katherine's oil no problems at all. I did a oil treatment by slightly warming the oil, distributed on my scalp and hair. Slept with a plastic hair cap until morning. Shampooing and detangling was effortless. I have high porosity hair, medium density and I have 3C, 4A hair. A great product and the smell is soft, light and not overwhelming. Highly recommend it. Thank you Katherine.

    I started oiling my hair last year as part of a homeschool experiment i started with my duaghter. I followed your recioe adding rosemary and mint, fresh from my garden. I stopoed oiling my hair briefly durning last summer because it was literally 118 for close to 30 days straight. Our ac went out and i was in and out of the pool all day long just trying to keep cool. Once the wether cooled down some I started oiling my hair again. Here i am a year later and my hair is 3" longer than it was last year at this time. I couldn't be happier. My hair is thicker, shofter, and so much more easier to brush. It even has a soft wavev to it now. It used to be very fine and straight and would break off at the ends. I couldn't hardly do anything with it. It was just sort of a whim that I measered my hair about 3 weeks ago. It sort renewed my intrest in natural hair growth and other things. I'm hoping for another 3" of length this year 😁

    I like how you show the production process of creating these oils. Most companies just have their products on store shelves and people read the ingredient labels. This is a very naturally made source of haircare.
    My go to is usually dying my hair.
    The video considers a more natural approach to my haircare, without artificially coloring and damaging it. The scalp and hair strands are nourished and protected. There are not artificial preservatives in the products.
    I like how I come right to the source and get quality information about how the products are produced. I also like the use of language in the video.
    It makes me more likely to consider purchasing the product if the company owner shows how the products are made.

    You can actually color your hair with henna and olive oil, but it takes a lot of henna. I use twice as much as what you put in this whole pot. I use oil the counteract the drying of the henna, which it can if used by itself.

    I've been shedding hair and losing so much that I was getting bald patches. My Doctor said it due to my thyroid medication but I had my thyroid removed over a decade before I started to experience hair loss. Since 2020 I have been shaving my hair off until I'm completely bald because I was tired of hair falling in my food, on my floor, I even noticed one day that the collar of my coat was covered completely with hair and even found it embedded in the material. I'm going to try your products and hope I can get my hair and self esteem back. It's odd how things work; I just pucked up my trusty hair clippers and was going to shave my head before bed. I saw one of your shorts and here I am 😂
    Of course I had to sub immediately. I'm on disability so it's going to take time before I can place an order but I feel excited for what may be the best investment in a long time.

I tried to find the website to share with you, but unfortunately couldn't locate it. It was pretty high doses of both. It worked really well for me! I also identified that our hard water was contributing to my scalp issues. A shower filter really helped, as did using an apple cider vinegar rinse. I recommend you get your vitamin D levels tested to see if you are low. Best of luck. ❤

    I don't know where you live, but how do you handle humidity. I end up cutting my hair because during hurricane season, I literally break hair bands (the ones made for curly hair last a little longer but coukd still break this time of year. no matter how much conditioner or oil I put in my curly hair. The longer my hair the less curly it is because it weighs itself down and can't dry as curly. But it isn't straight either. It's just fluff. Let's just say, I didn't need to do much in the 80s to get the big 80s hair. It's at my bra band, and I'm tempted to hack it back to clavicle length. It's the most curly and defined at this length. Anything shorter is mushroom head territory.
    I have a great hairmask that I use. I found it on an Indian lady's youtube a decade ago. Egg, oils, yogurt. Etc. That helps some.

I don't know about the customs questions, but I think it would be safe to assume that if she's willing to fulfill international orders then she'll figure out how to ensure those customers end up getting the products. Otherwise it would be bad for her business and she wouldn't offer to ship to any country. 😊

    Unfortunately the website connected with this video was difficult to work with. I would love to order your hair care products, but it said I would have to log in. I wish it were simpler than that, and no windows would open under ‘Hair Care Products’. :(

    Hi Katherine, I’m trying to preorder your hair oil but am unable. 1st, I can place in cart, and it shows it’s in cart but there’s no button to then make purchase. I thought perhaps I need an account. I set an account up and when I sign in it takes me to a blank white page. I’m on an iPad Pro. I’ll try again in a few days.

    A few things stood out to me watching the oil making process. You hadn't worn gloves wouldn't that contaminate the herbs powder in the deep bag also you didn't weigh the coconut oil wouldn't that throw the formula off?

    • @KatherineSewing
      @KatherineSewing  Місяць тому +9

      Gloves are only as hygenic as the wearer keeps them, and can actually give a false sense of security. I washed my hands about 12 times during this process, never touched my face or anything other than what I needed to, and didn't actually touch the ingredients unless absolutely unavoidable. As for weighing the coconut oil, I did a ton of research and experimentation on how to measure my ingredients for maximum accuracy and efficiency. Using a graduated pot with accurate volume markings was the better option, and it's quite accurate within the system I have created. ☺️

    Hi Katherine, thank you for sharing your hair oil recipe for hair growth. This hair oil that you made sounds amazing. Can you please tell me if this hair oil thatyou made can also help to regrow hair that has been ripped out of the head? It's been over 20 yrs. and my hair has still not grown back or grown longer even though I have tried many times to regrow it by applying several natural hair oils to it over these past 20 yrs. My hair is still the same length it has been even though I haven't cut it at all. My hair has just stopped growing and nothing I've tried to do to help it seems to work.

    • @KatherineSewing
      @KatherineSewing  Місяць тому +2

      There's a good chance it can help to grow new hairs, and it can definitely help existing hairs grow longer.

      The thing about hair growth that no one seems to ever mention in any of these hair growth videos, is that each person's hair has a unique hair growth cycle.
      For example,
      Some people's hair growth cycle may only be a couple years and thus, each hair strand falls out at the end of its growth cycle-- in that case, 2 year old hair strands fall out. So it only grows as far as it can in that cycle of growth.
      We're always getting new hair strands domultaneously while old hair at the end of its cycle falls out...otherwise we'd all be bald!
      Some people's hair cycle may be several years, such that it will grow super long.
      Of course, there are numerous & various factors that may affect that growth cycle.
      The health of the hair follicle may affect how long the hair strand can stay attached in the scalp.
      And we all lose hair strands daily (I seem yo recall something like ~ 100/ day, we just don't notice).
      Stress & various environmental issues & our internal health (physically & mentally) affects our hair growth ... the scalp, the follicle, the health of each hair strand etc
      What we consume also affects our hair growth & hair health.

    I have naturally thick hair and do not have problems with hair growth. I do not want long hair. I feel it limits style, and braids are not as versatile. I am allergic to most shampoos and to some conditioners. So, I am always looking for natural products. I think that might be a lot of henna. And, I think s almost all hair products have jahoba and many chemicals.

    • @KatherineSewing
      @KatherineSewing  Місяць тому +2

      I've worked with henna for many years now and the amount in this recipe is very reasonable. It's proportionally a much smaller amount than the fenugreek, for example. It's not easy to get an accurate idea of ingredient proportions from simply seeing a video.
