Ever since then I've made all of your herbal recipes and I've only started this haircare journey for about a year and a half now. You have truly changed my hair and I can't thank you enough for that. Usually no growth means people "forget" that they visit the hair dresser every 6/8 weeks; honestly they take your growth right off. If you want to grow your hair, then skip the salon for at least a year, and do home trims maybe 2 times a year, tops.
Yes, I'd like to know how you wash your hair/how often you wash it, if you use the oils as the conditioner, and then how often you readd more oil to your hair ♡
I used to scoff at my ethnic dad who said put olive oil in my long beautiful hair as a young lady. He was right! I will definitely try your recipe now. Post menopause I am no longer dyeing hair now and want to give it some ‘life’.
My bottle arrived this past Monday. I did a deep overnight oil. This morning I went ahead and washed my hair with my castor oil bar shampoo. I used a little oil on my hair wet and let it dry natural. My hair is frizzy, coarse and very dry. I was pleasantly surprised that my curls dried pretty. I have never been able to have long hair as my hair stops growing right above my shoulders. I’m hoping this oil will grow it long.

I started oiling my hair last year as part of a homeschool experiment i started with my duaghter. I followed your recioe adding rosemary and mint, fresh from my garden. I stopoed oiling my hair briefly durning last summer because it was literally 118 for close to 30 days straight. I have very long hair and it is always dry, but after one treatment it feels like silk. I am going to make this my go too for hair washing and ditch the chemicals in the shampoos.
I purchased the oil from Katherine and got great results. I have a super sensitive scalp. I have problems with putting any type of oil on my scalp however using Katherine's oil no problems at all. I did a oil treatment by slightly warming the oil, distributed on my scalp and hair. Slept with a plastic hair cap until morning. Shampooing and detangling was effortless. I have high porosity hair, medium density and I have 3C, 4A hair. A great product and the smell is soft, light and not overwhelming. Highly recommend it. Thank you Katherine.

Watching this AS your hair oil soaks into my scalp 💆♀️😅 Such a relaxing video! I love researching ingredients and what they do for us so this was right up my alley! Instead of hand filling each bottle, there are large time saving liquid filling machines that would be a good investment when making 300-400 bottles at a time! Just a thought for future batches 🤗

I was wondering why Katherine used a spoon for the dry ingredients when putting them into a big measuring cup-bowl? Could use a mug, or scoop, or pour through a wide-mouth funnel or simply just pour them out since they're such big batches?
You can actually color your hair with henna and olive oil, but it takes a lot of henna. I use twice as much as what you put in this whole pot. I use oil the counteract the drying of the henna, which it can if used by itself.
So, after oiling my hair and having it in a bun for two years, I have long hair for the first time in my life. Well, this weekend, I am doing this oil.
Now that I have watched the production shew pretty expensive but worth it. How often do you use it and is your hair unbelievably oily when you start using it? How do you wash it out?
What an intesting set of events that led me to find this channel. I have been using Caster oil on my eyebrows and lashes for a few days and organic odourless coconut oil too. Totally love that. Do you ship to the UK at all?
Hi Katherine! Hope you're doing well. I really wanna thank you for this oil recipe. I've made it before following your other/1st video about this oil and it helped me a lot. I just wanted ask, for olive oil, can I use extra virgin olive oil?
Ayurveda has proved to have a long lasting effect on the body as well I really liked the way you explained the benefits of all individual items and the way you prepared the oil step by step it looked so fresh and potent it will surely be beneficial ❤
I have made your recipe for myself from your videos. It has been about a year and I have noticed a difference. I light blonde hair and fhe henna leaves to colour behind.
Could you slide the entire block of coconut oil out and use a knife to chop it into pieces? You could slightly warm the sides of the bucket to loosen the coconut oil. Once chopped you could store in chunks for future batches.
Wow. I pre-ordered mine for the next batch! My hair is naturally curly, its a tight spiral curl. In 2016 I buzzed it off and had a buzz cut until Oct of 2023. It's growing, but I feel like it's taking forever, and just this morning, I thought I probably will buzz this off again in Oct since it's taking forever to grow. I think I will give this a try and see what happens. I am hopeful.
I mostly use oils on my hair. At one time I thought my hair was so dry it was mostly made of oil 🥴🙃😄 I have most of those ingredients but not amla yet. I haven't mixed powders with oils but... maybe an idea? Thanks for your video..
I need to try this! My hair is about 1.2 meters long, and I'm highly allergic to haircare products, including shampoo and conditioner. As a rule I only wash my hair once a week to minimize scalp reactions & hair loss.
I've been shedding hair and losing so much that I was getting bald patches. My Doctor said it due to my thyroid medication but I had my thyroid removed over a decade before I started to experience hair loss. Since 2020 I have been shaving my hair off until I'm completely bald because I was tired of hair falling in my food, on my floor, I even noticed one day that the collar of my coat was covered completely with hair and even found it embedded in the material. I'm going to try your products and hope I can get my hair and self esteem back. It's odd how things work; I just pucked up my trusty hair clippers and was going to shave my head before bed. I saw one of your shorts and here I am 😂 Of course I had to sub immediately. I'm on disability so it's going to take time before I can place an order but I feel excited for what may be the best investment in a long time.
Watched my cat how he cares for his hair.Ye - so simple and his hair is nice and soft.I learned from him and my hair is nice and soft and growing fast ,without extra oils and products - just a bit water.😂
wonderful video! has adding msm caused dryness for you? i’ve made an oil with msm and vitamin c, and it was really drying. i’m wondering if it was the vitamin c powder?
Hello Katherine, thank you for your very, very interesting videos :) I would have a question. I wonder if it's necessary to trim, and if in history women actually trimmed their hair ... What do you think ? :)
I couldn't really see how it's applied, and any before and after shots. But I understand that process probably takes a while and you just wanted to post this part of it. But I'd love to see how people actually USE it. (If you already have a video on this, let me know and I'll search for it!) Great, informative video, though.
What are the measurements? Also, what do you recommend for frizz? I’ve used a mixture of olive oil, vit E, argan oil to place on hair after wash and then a non alcohol gel for the frizz. I am of PuertoRican descent so my natural curly thick hair is not the same as other ethnicity.
I've been following some methods of your historical hair routine lately, and my hair is doing really well, but I have a question about hair trimming should I trim my hair regularly, or it's not actually necessary? Because a lot of people tell me that regularly trimming my hair is good for the health of my hair, but did women at that time trim their hair often?
I’d say trims are necessary to keep split ends from splitting up the shaft. If you do them 1 time every season you only have to trim a very small amount just to keep split ends at bay. Like a cm or just dusting the ends essentially.
Hi! I love your curls! Please tell me what hair type you have? My curls are high porosity, super low density and around 3c, with lots of frizz. I am just at a loss with what to do with it. Will this oil help? I also have thinning hair. Oh and does this help prevent and reverse greys? Thanks in advance❤
I love using henna (the SMELL yes!) yet it seemed to make my hair dry yet this video showing one can use olive oil might be the answer. Thank you. I love your channel. :)
Hey Ms Katherine, are any of these things not for GREY/WHITE HAIR? WHITE HAIRED people want to keep their hair white and not darkened at all. I guess kist the olive, coconut, and such, maybe. Be interetesting to see which one of these would color white hair and which ones you can keep in for glowing white hair. Loov yiur presentation!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Katherine! I bought all every ingredients from your recipe and website Amazon link but how are the perfect seize of every ingredients for a little bottle or a jar please? Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Elena 😍
May I ask why regular Caster Oil and not Jamaican and/or Black Caster oil? Lots of people swear by it over “regular.” Have you ever tried it? I’m just curious. (Or was this it?)
Can you tell me what form the final product is in? I assume it's in a solid state because of the coconut oil. Does it need to be melted before use? What do you think about babassu oil as a substitute for coconut oil? No melting is required. They have very similar characteristics, except that babassu oil has a lighter texture and quicker absorption, while coconut oil has a thicker consistency and takes longer to absorb."
Somewhere somewhen Katherine had/has a video or blog post with recipe available for others to use, which I found over a year ago, and this is what I have written down to remake whenever I want: 1/4 cup olive oil 1/4 cup coconut oil 25 ml castor oil 10 ml neem oil 40 g fenugreek seeds 1 Tbsp henna powder 1 Tbsp Amla powder 1 tsp MSM 2-4 drops each of lavender, rosemary, peppermint, and tea tree essential oils I don't know her ratio of jojoba oil in this recipe, but just play with it, everyone's needs are different anyway.
Dear Katherine, I live in Austria and would like to order. Is the invoice included in the package? And does the invoice show the value of the goods and the shipping costs? I'm asking because of customs.❤
I saw that Katherine replied to another comment and said she does ship worldwide. I don't know about the customs questions, but I think it would be safe to assume that if she's willing to fulfill international orders then she'll figure out how to ensure those customers end up getting the products. Otherwise it would be bad for her business and she wouldn't offer to ship to any country. 😊
Hi Katherine.. you once recommended an app in one video to learn new skills.. I am searching your videos for that.. would you be able to point me in that direction
I don't know where you live, but how do you handle humidity. I end up cutting my hair because during hurricane season, I literally break hair bands (the ones made for curly hair last a little longer but coukd still break this time of year. no matter how much conditioner or oil I put in my curly hair. The longer my hair the less curly it is because it weighs itself down and can't dry as curly. But it isn't straight either. It's just fluff. Let's just say, I didn't need to do much in the 80s to get the big 80s hair. It's at my bra band, and I'm tempted to hack it back to clavicle length. It's the most curly and defined at this length. Anything shorter is mushroom head territory. I have a great hairmask that I use. I found it on an Indian lady's youtube a decade ago. Egg, oils, yogurt. Etc. That helps some.
Hi Katherine, thank you for sharing your hair oil recipe for hair growth. This hair oil that you made sounds amazing. Can you please tell me if this hair oil thatyou made can also help to regrow hair that has been ripped out of the head? It's been over 20 yrs. and my hair has still not grown back or grown longer even though I have tried many times to regrow it by applying several natural hair oils to it over these past 20 yrs. My hair is still the same length it has been even though I haven't cut it at all. My hair has just stopped growing and nothing I've tried to do to help it seems to work.
The thing about hair growth that no one seems to ever mention in any of these hair growth videos, is that each person's hair has a unique hair growth cycle. For example, Some people's hair growth cycle may only be a couple years and thus, each hair strand falls out at the end of its growth cycle-- in that case, 2 year old hair strands fall out. So it only grows as far as it can in that cycle of growth. We're always getting new hair strands domultaneously while old hair at the end of its cycle falls out...otherwise we'd all be bald! Some people's hair cycle may be several years, such that it will grow super long. Of course, there are numerous & various factors that may affect that growth cycle. The health of the hair follicle may affect how long the hair strand can stay attached in the scalp. And we all lose hair strands daily (I seem yo recall something like ~ 100/ day, we just don't notice). Stress & various environmental issues & our internal health (physically & mentally) affects our hair growth ... the scalp, the follicle, the health of each hair strand etc What we consume also affects our hair growth & hair health.
Olive oil
Coconut oil
Golden jojoba oil
Castor oil
Neem oil
Fenugreek seeds powder
Henna powder
Amla powder
MSM powder
Except for two of the above, the rest are very common in India for hair oil and hair growth
Nothing new 😊
You missed the MSM powder

So, after oiling my hair and having it in a bun for two years, I have long hair for the first time in my life. Well, this weekend, I am doing this oil.
So are you saying your oil you've done hasn't worked then... Is why your changing to THIS oil?
@@slee7991 I haven't "done" any oil. I used oil to simply protect my hair, nothing like this.
@@slee7991 It has been so slooooow. I just have to test this. Does it make my hair grow faster? Does it help my scalp?
Can't wait to have a go at making this~
I've been shedding hair and losing so much that I was getting bald patches. I saw one of your shorts and here I am 😂
Of course I had to sub immediately.
Hi Katherine! Is this oil safe to use while breastfeeding ? P.s absolutely love your channel !
Does this regimen work on both length and thickness?
You could use a knife to cut it,loosen it up on the sides and scoop it in bigger layers or corkscrew out the whole section.
I wanna buy it
I couldn't really see how it's applied, and any before and after shots. But I understand that process probably takes a while and you just wanted to post this part of it. But I'd love to see how people actually USE it. (If you already have a video on this, let me know and I'll search for it!) Great, informative video, though.
Just browse thru her channel, she def has a video or two where she shows how she applies the oil and washes her hair.
@fuzzywuzzythebackyardigans2283 Thank you so much for your help 💕
@@minluna3781 I would just say trim no more than a cm. Just to be sure you’re not taking off unnecessary hair.
Very informative :) thank you
My hair is already longer by just watching this video lolol
😂😂😂
So funny I had to like this comment!
Thank you so much
What would you sub for coconut oil if you didn't want to use coconut?
Hello please i Jave a question to Your recipe for rhassoul clay wash: can i rinse my hair afterwards with raspberry cider vinegar or only apple? Tnx 🙏
Wow thanks so much
Could you put this oil in your conditioner bottle?
I love using henna (the SMELL yes!) yet it seemed to make my hair dry yet this video showing one can use olive oil might be the answer. Thank you. I love your channel. :)
I have heard that castor oil can cause hair felting which scares me away from it. What do you think?
Hey Ms Katherine, are any of these things not for GREY/WHITE HAIR? WHITE HAIRED people want to keep their hair white and not darkened at all. I guess kist the olive, coconut, and such, maybe. Be interetesting to see which one of these would color white hair and which ones you can keep in for glowing white hair. Loov yiur presentation!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Will this help with hair loss too?
What type of olive oil do recommend as there is a few?
Hi Katherine! I bought all every ingredients from your recipe and website Amazon link but how are the perfect seize of every ingredients for a little bottle or a jar please? Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Elena 😍
May I ask why regular Caster Oil and not Jamaican and/or Black Caster oil? Lots of people swear by it over “regular.” Have you ever tried it? I’m just curious. (Or was this it?)
Yes, I have tried it. For the sake of this recipe, organic unrefined castor oil is just as effective. ☺️
Still trying to find out how often do you put the oil on and how often do you wash? 🙏
I tend to have dandruff during the winter. Might this oil help with my scalp health?
When I saw you drinking your MSM was it a tinted color ? Mine is clear color. Also, do you recommend adding MSM to shampoo ?
My mother make hair growth oil with. Natural hair blcak oil result 100%❤
How long is this oil stable for?
Can you tell me what form the final product is in? I assume it's in a solid state because of the coconut oil.
Does it need to be melted before use? What do you think about babassu oil as a substitute for coconut oil? No melting is required.
They have very similar characteristics, except that babassu oil has a lighter texture and quicker absorption, while coconut oil has a thicker consistency and takes longer to absorb."
Does the henna not stain your scalp or hair?
Also, do you put any styling products on your hair?
Can fenugreek leaves be used?
Fenugreek enlarged my breast. I made tea and drink. Im 63. Nursed 5 babies. Went from deflated b cup to full c.
Has anyone who has Grey hair tried this? Any color change after using for a period of time?
Hi, I really need help. How much do I put in of each into the bowl?Thank you
Somewhere somewhen Katherine had/has a video or blog post with recipe available for others to use, which I found over a year ago, and this is what I have written down to remake whenever I want:
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup coconut oil
25 ml castor oil
10 ml neem oil
40 g fenugreek seeds
1 Tbsp henna powder
1 Tbsp Amla powder
1 tsp MSM
2-4 drops each of lavender, rosemary, peppermint, and tea tree essential oils
I don't know her ratio of jojoba oil in this recipe, but just play with it, everyone's needs are different anyway.
Is this wash out only or can it be used as a leave-in for very dry hair?
It can be used in small quantities as a leave-in hair serum.
Can you just make us a bottle of it and we'll buy it?😊😊😊
She mentioned in the video that this is available for sell on her website.
Hi Katherine.. you once recommended an app in one video to learn new skills.. I am searching your videos for that.. would you be able to point me in that direction
Fill the sink or bathtub with hot water and put the tub of coconut oil in. It should melt.
It's what I ended up doing, haha
Can you brush kinky curly hair dry/with the oil without wetting it? Will this break the ends?
Hello Katherine
I would love to try your hair oil treatment. Can you ship to the USA and if so, how much is your oil?
Hi! She ships to the US and the link to purchase her hair oil is in the description right at the top 😊
Yes, we ship worldwide ☺️
😢 im insanely allergic to castor oil 😢😢 will this still work if i skip it?
Do you ship to Europe?
Do you ship this oil to the UK?
Hi Katherine, thank you for sharing your hair oil recipe for hair growth. This hair oil that you made sounds amazing. Can you please tell me if this hair oil thatyou made can also help to regrow hair that has been ripped out of the head? It's been over 20 yrs. and my hair has still not grown back or grown longer even though I have tried many times to regrow it by applying several natural hair oils to it over these past 20 yrs. My hair is still the same length it has been even though I haven't cut it at all. My hair has just stopped growing and nothing I've tried to do to help it seems to work.
There's a good chance it can help to grow new hairs, and it can definitely help existing hairs grow longer.
Okay, good to know, and thank you. I appreciate your helpful reply.
The thing about hair growth that no one seems to ever mention in any of these hair growth videos, is that each person's hair has a unique hair growth cycle.
For example,
Some people's hair growth cycle may only be a couple years and thus, each hair strand falls out at the end of its growth cycle-- in that case, 2 year old hair strands fall out.
Stress & various environmental issues & our internal health (physically & mentally) affects our hair growth ... the scalp, the follicle, the health of each hair strand etc
What we consume also affects our hair growth & hair health.
How many times a week to put in hair ?
Are your methods also for black African hair? I'm diabetic.
