    What about night mode videos. I have an event yesterday where I did shoot videos with my 16 pro, but all videos are too dark..😢

    • @Truth-of-the-matter
      @Truth-of-the-matter 17 днів тому

      I believe the problem with night video would be the exposure. With a picture a longer exposure allows more light into the lens whereas the video being shot live can't capture that kind of light instantly. Notice the delay in photo during the demonstration.

      Tap on the screen to focus on something, then pull down to take the exposure down a bit.

    Excellent video, but it may have been worth mentioning that when using "Self-timer", that the iPhone takes a burst of photos; plus photos taken with Self-timer have less post processing done by the camera.

      @@osXcanada Yes, if you turn off "live mode" and use the self timer, it will take a burst of photos. Go into edit mode on a photo and you can select your key photo (or keep all of them). It's great for self timer action shots.

    If you use ProwRaw does it need manual editing or can you leave it as it is and what would be better for me JPEG or ProRaw without using further editing

    • @king...675
      @king...675 5 місяців тому +1

      in terms of the editing its at your discretion and JPEG is no where near as good as ProRaw even if your not editing the quality is different

    • @iPhone_Photography_School
      @iPhone_Photography_School  5 місяців тому +1

      Apple ProRAW offers the flexibility of RAW files while applying some in-camera processing. If you prefer minimal editing, JPEG may be more suitable. However, for greater control and image quality, ProRAW is a solid choice.

      @@iPhone_Photography_School If I export ProRAW to JPEG later, without processing, is the result the same as if I had shot in JPEG from the beginning?

    • @iPhone_Photography_School
      @iPhone_Photography_School  2 дні тому +1

      When you export a ProRAW image to JPEG without any processing, the result will not be exactly the same as if you had shot in JPEG from the beginning. However, exporting a ProRAW file to JPEG gives you the flexibility to make your own adjustments and processing before finalizing the JPEG. This can result in a higher-quality image compared to a straight-out-of-camera JPEG, depending on how you process the ProRAW file. So, while the result may not be identical, working with ProRAW provides more control over the final image. If you're aiming for a quick and efficient workflow, shooting in JPEG might be more convenient, but for maximum quality and flexibility, ProRAW is the way to go.

    • @iphonephotographyschool4256
      @iphonephotographyschool4256 3 місяці тому +1

      While HEIF Max and ProRaw Max both offer high-quality images on the iPhone, they serve slightly different purposes. HEIF Max provides excellent clarity and takes up less storage space, making it great for everyday use. On the other hand, ProRaw Max offers more flexibility for editing, as it retains more information about the scene, which is ideal for photographers who plan to do extensive post-processing. So, if you're looking for high-quality images with less storage use, HEIF Max is a good choice. But if you want more control over your edits, ProRaw Max would be the better option.

    I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and have never been able to achieve a decent photo in low light. So much so, that if I’m going to a gathering, a museum, or any indoor event, I take a cheap, but real camera. IPhones take superb photos in perfect conditions with natural light, but, otherwise I have been enormously disappointed and don’t get the hype which simply is not the reality. Only last night my wife took pics of my daughter’s birthday gathering on her iPhone 14 Pro max: the photos are not clear, faces not recognisable, and not usable.

      Thank you for that advice. I’m assuming he uses the night mode ie the moon icon thing? I’ve not been using that due to not having a steady surface to put my phone on. Maybe it’s just me? Maybe the tech is there and I’m just not managing to utilise it? The trouble with Apple is that once you’ve made that leap, you’re kinda stuck with them. So I’m unsure. Thank you so much for your advice. That makes me lean more towards that it’s my fault rather than the limitations of the camera
