As an aspiring drummer (hugely influenced by Proscriptor in particular) this is immensely helpful as an aid to better visualize what in Tiphareth he's actually doing here. Mad, mad props for this! And congrats--following almost anything off of Tara is way beyond worthy of praise!
Thanks a lot man! Seeing as this is 9 years old, I'm sure I missed a few parts, but glad this is able to help you! I tried playing along to this again recently and WOOF.... still just as hard haha.
Fair play, that is fucking amazing! Anyone who can cover proscriptor is a god in my eyes, now if you would post a cover of 'She cries the Quiet Lake', i will be ready to build statues in your honour! Nice one.
@apxeli thank you very much. yes... this song is just flat out hard, the fills, the beats... everything is so perfectly set that its nearly impossible to cover without it losing any credibility.
@waylonbloodskull666 haha, yeah, Proscriptor is by far one of my biggest influences right now, and I want to attempt a true Absu cover by doing both Drum and Vocals... it will take A LOT of time to get down... but oh well, something to aim for!
thanks a lot man! I am planning on doing more videos soon since I have a little more free time, so subscribe and hopefully I can come thru! check out my band Funeral Age too whilel you are at it!
would u be intereste in flyin out to australia and recording some really bad songs with me. So bad it will be kvlt! (im not sayin ur playinsbad tho, just my playin compared)
Good fucking job, but please, for the love of drumming, exercise your left hand more! I become legitimately worried at your left hand's technique. Not only will it cause serious health problems (the kind that make most people quit drumming, or just make Dave Witte quit blast beats), but it severely affects power and control. You can notice on your double strokes with your left hand that your hand is very uncomfortable, and that will cause all sorts of trouble you don't want.

Watching this alone helps me out alot on it! Cheers and happy new years!
awesome man

@cashmerestaten those are actully a part of the drum head. but other muffling rings are called Rem-O's
Nice kit, and the toms sound great!

Hell yeah it was! Marduk is hands down one of my favorite bands. It was a blast finally getting to see them live.
@Zachpaul95 I'm going back to my Iron Cobras. I put them back on after failing at Axis one day and it felt like I never stopped using them.
Proscriptor tends to land his snare ahead of the beat on this album and I think you've replicated this well. Good job!!
Good man John a worthy effort bro, ever think of trying a couple of Melechesh songs??
@l09I I REALLY want to attempt The Winter Zephyr, I love that song. In time I will.
Great job! I'd like to see you try Vorago!
kick ass dude! that song is super fun to play. good luck on it \m/
@JayDawg211 ha, thanks a lot, thats the reason I put it up. I listened to it and was like "Oh crap, it isn't as bad as I thought it was back then"
Youre in Funeral Age? No shit! Thats crazy! Small....internet I guess. I saw you guys open for Marduk in June at Studio Seven
@spore24 awesome! maybe I'll use the credit from the S.C. CD's for those :D. Saturday I'll have them for sure ... ... hopefully.
@BK1980TT that would be quite the feat to attempt!!!
Wow, I'm very impressed. Incredible job man
Awesome!

@FractureTheBand working on it ;)
@JohnTheDrummer88 what?! what are you going to replace them with?
dude, awesome!!!
Nice cover bro!!!!!!
@creationmark OF COURSE! Drumming wise, Absu and Melechesh are on the top for me.
so the new title of this video is "how to work out in 4:54"?
@dreadss64 you can if you listen very closely... but I will redo this eventually with my triggers hooked up.
Good job, man! I can't play this song, but I can do "From Ancient Times" on drums
Fucking incredible cover dude.
@JohnTheDrummer88 well im gonna keep trying with my axis i guess
thanks a lot man! I am planning on doing more videos soon since I have a little more free time, so subscribe and hopefully I can come thru! check out my band Funeral Age too whilel you are at it!
Angel Corpse - "Sons Of Vengeance" ??
You should try this same song, but the version of 'In the Eyes of Ioldánach' EP version, drums are much better and fun.
Holy jesus fucking christ. Great Absu covers dude! Id love to see more
Brutal
Yes, this is hard. Proscriptor is one of the best out there.
Hehe, singing along as well, just like Proscriptor.
@slayer33ification my seasons cover was one of my first covers from years ago lol... of course it sucked!
Nice 1
VORAGO 182 PLEASE.
hey man, did you have a bad learning curve on your axis pedals? i just got some, and they are hard as hell
@Zachpaul95 Terrible learning curve... I am actually selling my Axis now... I hate them!
Very Nice my friend!
Hugs.
your drumset could sound phenomonal with evans drumheads on the toms
Four crosed Wands so fucking insane
dude, i had no idea of your true black metal capabilities, if you live anywhere in texas, i want you to jam with you, haha,
good job, very good indeed!
try to focus on hitting the snare more on the center ;)
do nathicana by 1349?
I've been trying to do some 1349, but just never got around to fully learning and recording any of their songs :(
would u be intereste in flyin out to australia and recording some really bad songs with me. So bad it will be kvlt! (im not sayin ur playinsbad tho, just my playin compared)
@JohnTheDrummer88 i hear that lol well worth time n effort
@misterdesade i really want too >.
hey man..i cant your bass :(
i AM
in the bone
Pretty sloppy, actually. You're a good drummer, just keep practicing if you're gonna upload a song like this.
do that strictly in time, and you would be my GOD
holy fucking shit lol, "this song is hard. period" NO KIDDING! if you redid this with vocals, you would be a damn near god among men! lol
Good stuff, not perfect but well executed...

a lot of mistakes. try earlier songs..
